DINING HALL The dining hall at Nemare doesn't look like it belongs in a school. The elaborately carved mahogany tables that run down its length seem like part of a bygone age - and they're magically reinforced to repel any attempts to deface them, too. Most meals are buffets, with the food on the tables lining the walls constantly being replaced to keep up with the almost-continuous flow of hungry students. There is no seating plan, and students are encouraged to mingle.

LIVING QUARTERS These two floors are devoted to dormitories for all of the students at Nemare. The students are placed together randomly in groups of four within their year's area. The actual rooms are quite reasonable, with two single beds in each set of rooms linked by a small lounge area that also links to the very small, basic bathroom that each set of four can use. The communal bathrooms and showers for males are on the fourth floor with the Freshman and Sophomore dormitory areas, and those for females are on the fifth floor with the Junior and Senior dormitory areas.

THE LIBRARY The best libraries in the world have nothing on this. With books that used to reside in the great library of Alexandra, ancient Celtic tomes and the most modern fiction bestsellers within its enormous walls, this library can outdo them all. The library is a lot bigger than it appears to be on the outside, and has seemingly endless rows of mahogany shelves covered in books on every topic from Aces to Zoos.

CLASSROOMS The second and third floors of Nemare are where all indoor classes are held. Some of them look like traditional classrooms inside, particularly those classrooms in which the regular syllabus subjects are taught. Others are uniquely suited to their specific subject - the Sewing Room, for example, has comfortable couches instead of desks, and tall wicker baskets full of different kinds of thread. There are also a few abandoned classrooms, with no apparent purpose, and students like to meet there when they need a little privacy.

SCHOOL GROUNDS The carefully tended grounds of Nemare Academy encompass everything anyone could ever wish for at school, and a whole lot more. There is a jousting arena, an archery range, stables, several hothouses and just about every kind of sports field one could imagine. There is also a very large forest on school property, which the headmistresses warn the students every year not to venture into after dark. And every year, there's always at least one person who wants to find out why.

THE HEADMISTRESSES' OFFICE The three headmistresses offices can be found here, on the very top floor of the school. There is an ornately furnished waiting room big enough to hold a hundred students, but what lies behind the three doors leading out of it has always been a matter of speculation. Even those who have been summoned up there are curiously unforthcoming about what they saw inside those offices. The rumours that fly around get more fantastical every year, but no one knows anything for sure.

THE TOWERS The school has four towers, one at each of its four corners. Each one is a different size, and a slightly different height, which makes for a different view of the surrounding area. The largest, round tower is off-limits to students (and we mean off-limits; the door can only be seen by those allowed to see it) as it houses the staff living quarters and the Staff Room. The other three towers, however, are not currently being used for lessons, and thus students are free to hang out in them, should they choose to do so. Jumping out of the windows is strictly forbidden, even for Peter Pan!

FANTASIA Fantasia is the all-age nightclub sponsored by a previous headmaster, Kyprioth Remi, in one of his "schemes" for the student population. Naturally, it has things that other clubs can only dream about, such as a bubble waterfall that turns on at midnight, and a rotating dance floor. Every so often they have a kareoke night, but the 'enter at own risk' sign means what it says. It has both an alcoholic and non-alcoholic bar, and don't even try and con some if you're underage - it's rumoured that the barmen are actually Cerberus, Hades's multi-headed dog.

BEACH The beaches of the islands are considered to be amongst the most beautiful in the world. They have clear pristine water and white sands that feels comfortably warm between your bare toes. Although some students with aquatic spirits prefer the lake, many like to come down here for a taste of that genuine sea water.

THE MARKET SQUARE The Market Square is the centre of the local village, and most of the shops can be found here. This is where Nemare students come to get away from it all, and blow all that precious pocket money their parents send them...

THE BANQUET HALL Decorated from top to bottom in bright greens, with shamrock designs worked into the windows, this hall is the place to be this St. Patrick's day. There's plenty of food to go around, although most people will be heading straight for the bright-green beverages. There's something for every taste, including green ginger ale, green hot chocolate and green milkshakes in every flavour. There is no set seating arrangement, and a large space has been cleared in the middle of the hall where merriment can ensue.
There is no word count (or paragraph count) for threads within this forum.

NEMARE ACADEMY FOUNDER'S BALL Celebrating fourty years since the founding of Nemare Academy, the administration have pulled out all the stops for a night to remember. The dining hall has been redecorated for this formal ball, and the long tables temporarily evicted in favour of smaller ones which surround a dancefloor. The theme of the decorations is black and white, with bouquets of black or white orchids on each table. The staff are all seated along the main tables, but to be honest they're having as much fun as the students, not worrying about chaperoning. (Well, most of them.)
