Title: Getting Email Notifications From The Forum
Klaudia - March 28, 2011 08:11 AM (GMT)
I lost the email notifications from the Forum when it moved from Yahoo and as a consequence have been mostly out of communication. I just had another look around and found you need to click on track this post to get notifications, so does that mean you don't get one when someone postst a new one? Does anyone know how to set that up?

Haven't a clue but I think it's the reason why it's been quieter since we moved.
Steve A is the technical man so maybe he can tell us if it's possible to get e-mail notification for all posts.
Of course the other alternative is to regularly check in to see what's happening.

Hi Steve (I think)
Yes that's likely, so it's not working so effectively.
I have just been on another weekend course with Phil Chandler and he qiuite fancies coming down for a half day.
How do we contact all forum members?

Mmmm, time with Phil Chandler would be terrific! Cheers, Vini

Yes, we would very much like to spend some time with Phil Chandler too.

Sorry for the late reply but I'm being run ragged at the moment. If you want email notifications you will have to 'subscribe' to the individual threads you want to be notified about. This is standard practice with forum engines as otherwise people like me would get hundreds of emails a day :D
There may be an option in your 'My Controls' to select notification for all threads... I'll have to check.
I've checked...it would appear that you can subscribe to either individual topics or whole forums, now, as we don't have many forums here people could easily subscribe to them all and receive an email notification for every new post.
