Title: An Important Message & Happy New Year

Tavascarow - January 10, 2011 11:30 AM (GMT)
Happy new year everyone.
Hope you all had a great Christmas & your bees are tucked up with plenty of stores.

I Picked this up at the natural beekeeping forum.
I am convinced that the future of the honey bee not only lies with the learning of natural beekeeping practices but by controlling the environment which they live in.
Neonicotinoid insecticides are probably the greatest threat to bees & all other pollinators out there at present.
I don't think there is any doubt now that they are the primary cause of CCD.
They arrived on the scene just before CCD, & CCDs incidence is higher in those countries that use the most neonics.
There are now many peer reviewed scientific papers that are pointing the finger in the agrochemical direction.
The BBKA endorse & take money from agrochemical companies.
Some would say it's hush money, myself included.
So please follow the link below & add your name & comment if you wish.
We owe it to the bees.

Hi Steve and a happy new year to you also and everyone else.
Let's hope all our bees survive this winter.

We have also been closely following the research concerning neonicotinoids and the incidence of CCD and have come to the same conclusion.

Let us hope this year will be the year that the EU bans the use of neonicotinoids but we are not optimistic.
Too many people are making too much money out of the agrochemical industry.

Hello to you all - and lets hope it is a happy and healthy new year for our bees and beeks alike!

Thanks for posting this Jan, it all helps in our awareness, the more we know, the more we can do to combat the situation.
