Karin is roughly 5’3, and weighs 105 pounds (my best estimate from comparing her to Sasuke and other characters). She has bright red hair; one side hangs down to the middle of her back, while the other side reaches her shoulders. Her eyes are the same color as her hair.

Karin wears a violet, midriff baring jacket over a pair of extremely tight, extremely short shorts. She wears black, heeled sandals with black tops that go above her knees. Karin wears a pair of black framed glasses.

Personality: Karin is extremely impulsive, and has a bad temper. She strongly dislikes Suigetsu, and often loses her temper with him, insulting, punching, and kicking him fiercely when he says something that irritates her (which is frequently). Suigetsu, for his part, seems to enjoy provoking Karin.

Like many other female characters in the series, Karin has an obsession with Sasuke; her feeling for him, however, manifest in more decisive, and more questionable ways, such as her plan to “ravage” Sasuke after lulling Suigetsu and Juugo to sleep, presumably through the use of drugs.

Fighting Traits: Karin has the ability to distinguish a person’s individual chakra, even if said person is in a large crowd. She can track a person by his or her chakra.

Weaknesses: Karin’s quick, flaring temper, as well as her obsession with Sasuke, are her biggest weaknesses. Her possessiveness, combined with her blatant dislike for some of her teammates, makes her a rather unpleasant traveling companion. She’s impulsive in the extreme.

History: (Because so little is known about Karin’s history, I am going to put down everything that we know about her from the manga, even though many of these events haven’t happened on the board; I’ll edit in more of her past history as it is shown in the manga)

Very little is known of Karin’s life. What is known is that at some point she came to serve Orochimaru, and was apparently very loyal to him; her chakra tracking abilities were put to good use in the lab of Orochimaru’s Southern base when she was assigned to help him with his human experiments, as well as guard the test subjects.

Karin met Sasuke at some point while he was training with Orochimaru, but the exact events that transpired at the time are unknown to most; Suigetsu made a reference to Karin “doing something” to Sasuke at some point, but she angrily cut him off before he could reveal exactly what she did. It must be noted that, despite the fact that Sasuke was present during the conversation, he showed no signs of concern or anger over Karin’s actions.

Karin developed a deep crush on Sasuke while he was with Orochimaru which held fast even when Sasuke defeated Orochimaru; although Karin expressed anger over what Sasuke did, she was willing to go with him as a member of Team Hebi.

Karin helped Sasuke and Suigetsu locate Juugo when they arrived at the North Base (although she purposely caused Suigetsu to go the wrong way so that she could be alone with Sasuke, angering Suigetsu in the process), and has continued to travel with Team Hebi. Most recently, she sensed the approach of the teams from Konoha, and managed to warn Team Hebi so that she and her comrades could escape.

Sample RP: Karin was finding it difficult to hold back her irritation; that in itself wasn’t at all unusual, but on most days, said irritation would be reserved for the underlings in the Southern base. On this day, it was directed at Suigetsu, who had the ability to irk Karin roughly every five seconds.

Why, oh why, couldn’t Sasuke have settled with a two man team, consisting of him and Karin? Suigetsu’s presence couldn’t be that important, nor could Juugo’s. Suigetsu hadn’t yet done anything helpful, and Juugo…well, there was always the chance that he would go mad and start a killing spree. He could be a loose cannon, and Karin didn’t like it.

She didn’t like many things about this new team, nor about the fact that Orochimaru had been defeated. If there was one major advantage to having her master indisposed, it was that Karin now got to spend her entire day with Sasuke. That in itself almost made it worth it to put up with Suigetsu and Juugo’s presence. Almost.

One of these days, she’d finally get the chance to be alone with the young Uchiha. Something might happen to the other two on Team Hebi, leaving only Sasuke and Karin to pursue Itachi. That day couldn’t come too soon.
