Ok, I'm just curious. What is everyone's opinions of the movies that came out this summer? Which ones did people enjoy, could have been done better, and shouldn't have even happened?

For me: I enjoyed Avengers and Abraham Lincoln. Surprisingly, Magic Mike wasn't really terrible. Ted was the one I walked out of and asked for a refund.

I still haven't seen the Avengers. Stone me now if you wish! I will see it once it comes to dvd.

I did see Magic Mike and Spider-Man. Both wern't that bad considering one was men thrusting in the camera's face and the other was spooderman.

I loved avengers. I put it in the top five or so for my favorite movies of all time. I also was surprised to see I enjoyed dark shadows, believe it or not.

(Some of these didn't come out this summer, so I have a few that came out a while ago but just got around to seeing them, to me that qualifies as a Summer Movie)

Top 3 fav:
Avengers
Amazing Spider-Man
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Not sure if this counts, but I also watched a 2½ hour Mortal Kombat "movie" on YouTube, which wasn't really a movie cause it was just the Cutscenes from the new MK game and a few fights.
But it WAS better than most of the crap I've seen this year

Side Note: Still need to watch Summer Wars...

3 Most Hated:
MK Annihilation
Ted
Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter(Yeah I said it, bring on the hate!)

I think I only saw The Avengers and Ted.
The Avengers was...alright. I'm not into the whole superhero thing, so...

I really liked Ted. It definitely wasn't perfect, but I had a lot of fun seeing it with my friends. :)
Ehh? You asked for a refund? I mean, I understand if it's not your kind of humor, but daaaamn!

I didn't find it worth my money and I hated it. I totally recommend getting a refund for movies you don't like.

I had money only to watch super hero movies, so Avengers, Dark Knight Rises, and Spiderman.

Avengers I had only small nitpicks about. It was easily one of my favorite superhero movies. And even though it had its moments that I was like seriously? It was very well done and again, just nit picks.

Spiderman I wish hadn't showed until this movie. The fact that it came out 5 years after the previous spiderman trilogy means some haven't fully adjusted to it and are just complaining about new spiderman. Honestly, I think Andrew Garfield did an amazing job as Spiderman. Spiderman is one of my favorite super heroes, and Tobey Maguire I think never grasped the roll right. I also love the movies I've seen Emma Stone in and this one was one of my favorites. The relationship was just perfect between the two, and I know I'm ranting too much so I'll move on. Its worth your money!

Dark Knight Rises was ok...yes ok. I honestly enjoyed the Dark Knight a lot more then this movie and I think it was because Heath Ledger's Joker was a better adversary. Bane was good, but the end of the movie, was just, I kinda saw it happening. One of the things I don't like about movies is when I can tell what's going to happen. Pretty much, predictability is never a good thing in a movie. Thus why Avatar to me was never a good movie. This movie had that. Every "twist" and turn they did I already thought about 20 minutes ago, except for the climax. I noticed it 30 minutes into the movie, or 2 HOURS BEFORE IT HAPPENED. Still worth a watch, but its just not a TRUE Batman Movie.

The only other movie I saw besides those was Prometheus. I wanted to like this movie. I did. But..there's so much stuff wrong with it. Its usually a lot of ranting, but I just wish it didn't have retarded moments where I'm hating every character. The only thing good about the movie was the visuals. So would I consider watching it. Not really. Just a bad spin off to an okay movie franchise. Not into the Aliens franchise much, but if you are, I'd consider a rental. From what I've seen, some have absolutely loved this movie, or thoroughly hated it. So its a 50/50

I was going to see Ted because I actually enjoy Seth McFarlane's work. (with the exception of the Cleveland Show) But decided to get tickets for a concert instead, is it really all that bad?

I saw the Avengers and Dark Knight Rises, Avengers was really good, DKR was a bit disappointing, but not that bad.

However, I also saw The Watch, and while it was kind of funny at parts, holy fuck was it not good. Jonah Hill is a funny guy imo, but he got dealt a bad hand with this movie and did really well for the shit he was in. Seriously, not good. Do not watch it unless you like laughing at how bad movie maker's decisions are.

Thanks for the heads up! I was thinking about seeing that one.

I can't wait to see The Campaign this Friday, though. I'll post about it here once I have. :3
