This is a picture of Mike when he played football for the Montoursville High School team. I did know what position he played for the Warriors, but I have forgotten. Doris, Shelley, Carissa -- help!

Great pic!

He was a cornerback. His coach said Mike used to love to run across the field and nail somebody! I thought that was so freakin' funny for a guy who now won't throw a baseball at hitters.

Ah...cornerback is the third position! I recall reading somewhere that Mike played three positions for the football team (I assume not all in the same season), but I couldn't recall the 3rd position.

At the first MMFC luncheon I ever attended, his football coach was sitting at our table. When Mike got to our table to pose for photos, he pointed to his coach and said, "Don't believe a word this guy says!" He must have known the guy was telling us stories about his high school days.
