Ladies and genetlman, fellow mokatians, let me be the first to say HAKUNA MOKATA! And WELCOME BACK! We have missed you

Lots of things have happened since last you have been here, but let me first start on this new fabulous skin.

During the days of the drudging on revamp, JJciantar made us at least 5 different skin prints, none to which anyone would agree on. However, once he made the one for this current skin, we all dropped our mouths and drooled. So after too long, we finally decided to use his this. He first started to code it, and got through the big bulk of it, making most things see through, doing the borders, etc. Then he needed to move houses, and we have yet to see him since. So we decided to finish this skin in his honor.

Nme_Spy took the skin to a new test board, so he could finish up the coding. He was the one who really took charge of making sure this new skin was finished. He coded the text boxes, the quote and code boxes, making sure the text was readable and everything looked really smooth, stuff like that.

After he finished that, all that was needed, were the graphics. Due to some misfortunes, we were in a lack of graphics staff. So once again, Nme_Spy took charge. He went looking up and down all over to find people to make the skins graphics, and even made his own.

So here is a final list of who made what graphics.

Now on to the cool parts, the codes

As you can see, and can not see, there are a lot of new codes in place. First we got a sexy fucking member legend, made by beta. If you can not tell, there are currently 3 different staff groups. Admins, Mokata Staff, and Coders. Yet they are all under the same icon in member legend .

Getting that strip behind the #userlink (where it says your name, log out etc), to stretch across the borders, and work in FF and IE, took more time than you can imagine. A BIG shoutout and THANK YOU to our fantastic coder Michael! You worked your ass off on that thing, it looks fantastic.

If you have not noticed, we have a new and improved, sleek, sexy, sliding drop down. Coded by our very own Gunblaza, designed by me, you know have easy access to all the needed links on the board. I use it, you should too.

Now for one you may not be able to see. Have you made an intro topic yet? Because if you havn’t, I recommend so. What happens if you hit New Topic…..OMG text is there already for you! How did we do that? Easy. Well at least for him. Urban Twitch, a new coder to the team. Sexy stuff dude. It is also in our advertisement forum

Another one you cant see from the face of this beautiful skin, is a new and improved report system. When you hit the report button, it takes you to a page, and sends an email out. But how often do we really check our emails Not on Mokata. Thanks to Michael again, when you send a report, it sends it to our PM SYSTEM How cool is that?

The elite and Retired groups were merged and then was made smaller because there was tons of them. :)

Well, well, well thank fuck for that, the lazy bastards would never stop playing around with the damn codes in order for us to reopen after an overdue, by about two years, change from the very thing that is killing the IF network.

First of all I would personally like to thank me, seeing as though the neglectant fool forgot to even mention me in the initial post in this very topic, how rude? I know. Though the reason being is that about two years ago, if you take away exactly one week from a year to when these boards first opened then it will be two years to the day, I was bored and decided to open a forum after having served a very long spell as an administrator on a board with over one thousand members on at any minute of the day and was only Advertising staff at MadAds. I started this with no plans nor any future for it, was sheer boredom, though to this very day many a person, from Overtime99 to the latest prodigy Angie, has helped us struggle through to get to where we are now. With many disappearances from me not helping any situation, the staff pulled together over the years and kept us alive, the main people being Wolfe, spy, MichaelD, Vera and Angie, everyone else played their part but none shone like the people fore mentioned.

It was first brought up by me a little over a year ago to spy and Wolfe to whether or not we should make the change as Advertising didn't seem to be where we wanted to go, though the decision was only talk again, till maybe half a year ago or so when Myself and SlowHand spoke about doing such things, even then the decision was to maintain the board and try to prosper. Third time lucky, as the old saying goes, I came up with a topic explaining why the change was needed for survival as a board, the staff at the time, most of which were let go due to not needing the amount of staff we had to run a general discussion board, understood what was needed and we all started preparing for a change. At first it was only talk and, as usual, anything on here takes longer than anywhere else to get done, mainly due to arguing and disagreeings about what to do. Many fights were had due to people not seeing eye to eye, though what changed that was the creation of the forum that let the members join in within our revamp discussions on what we should do when we change.

I would like to thank Jjciantar the most within this change as he was the one who came up with better and better solutions in what we should wear as our attire on Mokata, the final decision on prints was to use this one, so he got skinning away, in secret. Though unfortunately near on finishing this skin he had to move away and his laptop was packed long before he would have liked and his progress on the skin came to an abrupt end. Without him we would probably not have revamped yet.

Spy took over after me promoting him to administrator for another spell in command of Mokata, which wasn't to the satisfaction of everyone who was interested at that point, though I knew that it was the best decision to make and I made it, it seems to have come through as one of the better decisions I've ever made on here, though he has my full trust seeing as we've worked together for nearly two years. He took to the reigns and led the revamp from where Jjciantar left off, even though he hadn't done any of that coding malarkey since he was admin here previously, and even then he wasn't too good, bloodblack is a great example of the exploits him and myself were doing back in the day. He built a team together to work on the skin, with the help of myself on some occasions, though done pretty much everything himself and showed me and everyone else how dedicated he really is to Mokata by completing something that was deemed to fail by many.

I suppose future plans may as well be talked about, though only briefly as I don't want to give too much away just yet.

The funding for this place are at around 100$ a month as of hallowe'en and that will be mainly spent on advertising, though there is a possibility of either moving to a paid host or creating our own with PHP scripting. Though these plans are only being talked about and nothing is certain yet.

There is also a secret project that only Hatori and myself know about completely and maybe one or two may have an inkling as to what shall be happening, though more on this will be revealed at a later date.
