Kristoff, though he was now in pain from the gash in his leg, the shred in his pant leg showing the red and bleeding gash off quite well and the one he noticed had cut a small gash across his wrist, felt safe under the shield that he and Knax had fashioned, and was hoping that it would hold out on this final attack. If Kristoff's will faltered at all because of his injuries, the shield would weaken and it might crack if Knax lost concentration for a moment. So he continued to push back. He watched as the wind attacks hit the shield, and the wind blasted to the sides. It was very unnerving, as he wondered how long the wind would keep coming, and how long his strengths and Knax's would hold out the shield against the wind.
It finished, and Kristoff was quite glad it had. He sank down so that he sat against the Ruby, not even paying heed to the fact he probably should go to his lessons. He wasn't sure how much of a good thing it would be if he showed up with a gash in both leg and wrist, and Knax was harmed. The Ruby didn't seem to think much of his injury, only the solitary roar had even indicated anything had happened to him. More importantly, he was exhausted. Can you contact anyone? Kristoff said. Sure. Knax said.
Quita, can you and Lelaina come to the courtyard? Knax asked, contacting the Sapphire dragoness. Why her? Because they care and won't rat us out to everyone,
