Dragon Appearance: Slender and energetic, Quita is as beautiful as her rider is on the plain side. A gorgeous little creature with scales of dominant pure sky blue, there are hints of a more teal shade towards her tail, and fainter patches of a paler blue where her wings sprout from her back. There is a faint sparkle to her scales that few other dragons have, but it is only noticeable when she is in her element of darkness. She is fairly compact, reaching only 10 feet in height and 21 feet in length.
Her armor is not fancy, but is good quality and engraved with runes to allow her to breathe fire and similar bonuses.

Dragon Personality: Quita's attention is easily caught, but holding it is a different matter. She shows well, but her attention span isn't precisely the longest. She's not stupid, but does appreciate attention and praise. Almost completely without mothering instincts, Quita is entirely indifferent to children and dragonets, and while she does find them interesting, finds no need in herself to coddle them and smother them with adoration. She is a fierce fighter, despite seeming like something of an airhead, and most definately could be considered one of the elite of the North Hall, if not all of Shai. She is quick and light in the air, and her small size lends her a lot of maneuverability. Quita's nature doesn't lend itself to arrogance, but she can be a little bit smug when she's pleased with herself, and she has a habit of conspiring behind her rider's back with other dragons, and enjoys plotting to an almost eerie extent. She is rather ambitious, and driven: when she has a goal, she'll do everything in her power to reach it, and this trait she shares with her rider...but Quita is quite willing to bribe people to achieve what she wants done, and if that doesn't work, resorts to more plotting.

Appearance: A rather plain girl at just over 17 years of age, who couldn't ever really be called beautiful, but is certainly handsome enough in a charactered way. She has golden-bronze skin, not only tanned but naturally dark. Her hair is thick and black, cropped short but still long enough to get in her way. Lelaina's eyes are a deep brown and vibrant, framed by thick, long lashes. She has an athletic form, and curvacious frame, reaching about 5'8" in height. She carries herself with confidence, and an air that people don't take lightly. She is most definately mature for her age, and displays this in her mannerisms and dress. Lelaina dresses with sophistication, but not overdoing herself with elaborateness: when she has to, she gowns herself (and in fact adores clothes) spectacularly, but will contently settle for plainer garb and armor.
She prefers simplicity, and never wears makeup of any sort.
Her jaw is slightly masculine (stubborn, at the very least) and her eyes are almond shaped and slanting. Her brows are heavy, and her nose is a little bit too long for her face, and her mouth too wide.

Personality: Independent, discreet and tactful, Lelaina has some unique talents. She is an excellent scrounger of information, and has perfected teh talent of spreading damaging rumors. She is a dangerous enemy to have, for if one is of any status, she can sweep that away with a simple whisper to a Court connection.
Apparently demure, she still carries about a fan to flutter and conceal her lower features behind whenever she is in a Court circle, and is North Hall's connection to the Noble world. That is just how she would like it. Lelaina has a huge spy network, outside of the Dragonwarriors, which she established in her earlier teen years who report to her on all the goings on at court, keeping her informed and her hand in the pool of politics and scheming. She enjoys a good plot as much as anyone else, and has been privy to several more controversial ones despite her youth, as well as putting down several uprisings with no one the wiser.
It is here her talents are found. Though she seems quite ladylike, if with a vibrant personality, no one would guess at the independence she has, as well as how sly and concealing she can be. It can get rather difficult to tell when Lelaina is telling the truth, because she has developed the ability to say anything and keep a straight face. She enjoys playing with people's thoughts that way too, and likes seeing how disconcerted that they can be.

History: Ex-member of the oh-so-subtle Queen's Guard which none but the members and Her Highness know about: Ladies trained in the more discreet arts of fighting from very young ages, such as spreading rumors to the right ears that completely destroy one's social standing. She also learned how to wield words behind the safety of a fluttering fan, and how to use gossip as a most effective and dangerous weapon. Not only that, but she was taught how to foil assassination attempts, listen for the hidden information in people's intonations and polite words, and how to fight in a close space where one mustn't be noticed.
Indeed, by the time she came to the Dragonhall, Lelaina was already 16 years of age, and though not the eldest of the Trainees, more experienced in combat. It was quite by accident that she joined the Trainees, as well. She had been born to a moderately wealthy Noble family in Wilame, old in name but failing in money, and was given a commission in the Queen's guard, at first just because she had that name. Most of those in the Queen's Guard were there on merit, and at first Lelaina was self-conscious of this, but after some time it became clear that she too was extremely talented, in tact and diplomacy as well as fighting. She advanced quickly (having entered when she was 13 years of age) and by the time she was 16, she was one of the head women in the Guard. In little more time, when the Commander retired, she might have stepped into her shoes...if it weren't for Quita.
She accompanied the Monarchs to a function where the Dragonmaster and several Dragonlords and Ladies were gathered, and it was a unanimous decision, made by the dragons without their riders or anyone else's permission, that Lelaina must go with them.
It turned out that they knew of a young rider, who happened to be in Training to take over for the retiring Dragonlord of North hall, and they thought that the witty young Lady might be just the thing to cure him of his lethargy. They were right, of course, but under the guise of a Trainee they convinced their riders to take her to North Hall. Dazed and under the impression that she would be permitted to go back to the Queen's Guard after a year, she completed her Training rapidly (under a year due to her advanced age) and was permitted to choose an egg from a Clutch. In that time, she became absolutely smitten with the Dragonlord-to-be, but didn't realize that that had been the intention all along until one of the Dragons who had found her informed her, not long after Quita hatched.
At first, Lelaina was angry, but then realized that she was enjoying this new life far too much to leave it. What he thinks of her, only his dragon probably knows, but Lelaina is nothing if not stubborn.
