How do I Open the .NFO file?

Most often than not, when you are downloading a specific program. There will be a .nfo file attached to it. When you open it regularly (by double clicking) usually the System Information program would be used to open it. However, this file usually contains information about the release.

Open your volume control bar by opening Control Panel then Sound, Speeches and Devices and finally click on adjust the system volume (XP)

Open MS Paint then save the image there onto your hard drive so you would know where it is in the future and edit with your favourite image editor like PSP or Fireworks.

Windows 98 and Prior:
Open your Clipboard under Accessories and copy the image and paste it into a image editor and save it on to your hard drive.

After this step you should have a .bmp image file, you would need to then save it so that you would be able to use it for whatever purpose. Remember to switch over to .gif or .jpg you will need a image editor like Fireworks or PhotoShop.
