he's really successful right now, and he's only 23! =] he has a really promising future ahead. i really want to watch him in shows other than idol dramas. it'd be cool to see just how full of talent he really is in more serious roles!

Thats hard to imagine.. He not suitable to act in wuxia.. It looks weird. He can act as bad boy, good guy.. But to me, I don think he suit in wuxia.. he can show his talent elsewhere..

Mike He would rather be voted a dream lover

Taiwanese "pretty boy" actor Mike He is used to accolades.

Along with other drool-worthy stars such as Takeshi Kaneshiro, his name is a fixture in Chinese-language newspaper and Internet polls.

He came up tops once again in a recent online survey, except this time, it didnt leave him feeling triumphant.

The poll had asked netizens to vote for male artistes they would most like to have an affair with,

"I think it's nothing to be proud of," He said coolly in an interview yesterday.

The 22-year-old idol had flown into Singapore on Sunday with actress Sha Sha to promote their new serial Marry Me, which premieres on TVBS-Asia on Sept 5.

"I dont like the thought of being associated with having an affair," he said, adding he would prefer to be voted a dream lover.

Some polls have also named him a "great kisser", an accolade that the star of Devil Besides You & Express Boy was happy to talk about.

"When I started acting, I founf it awkward doing kissing scenes," said He, who launched his show business career in 2003. "But now, I'm used to it. As long as the directpr wants it, I'm okay. I just treat it as a job."

Mike Ho Most Wanted

He cross-dresses in a new TV role, but that shouldn't put women off him since many on the Internet say they would love to have an affair with him.

Fans of Taiwanese drama serials are used to seeing actor Mike Ho as a pretty boy. Next, they will see him as a pretty woman too.

The model turned actor plays a popular TV star called Yuming who gets left at the altar on his wedding day in a new 20-episode idol serial called Marry Me!. The twist - he also plays the character's fiancee.

The 23-year-old is in town with fellow Taiwanese actress Sha Sha to promote the show, which starts airing on TVBS-Asia next tuesday.

Asked by the media at a press conference yesterday about his gender-bending portrayal - complete with wig, stockings and fake eyelashes - the newcomer grimaced with a loud "ugh".

"It was difficult pulling the stockings up to my waist and my high-pitched falsetto gave way several times," he recalled in Mandarin.

"I think I don't look that disguating. But you won't see me acting as a girl again in the near future."

His concern to look his utmost best is not surprising, considering he was voted fifth best-looking celebrity in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan in a Chinese newspaper poll of 50 stars recently.

The first four on the list were femnale China stars like Gong Li (No. 1) and Zhang Ziyi (No. 4), making Ho the first-placed male celebrity - ahead of Hong Kong's Shawn Yue (No. 14) and Japanese-Taiwanese heart-throb Takeshi Kaneshiro (No. 16).

Netizens last month also voted Ho as the celebrity they would most love to have an extra-martial affair with.

"I fell honoured by fans' attention but I don't want to be associated wuth flings," said a bemused Ho.

The actor, who has perhaps the most electrifying gaze among Asian dreamboats after Tony Leung Chiu Wau, is known for his frequent kissing scenes, beginning with his TV debut in singer-actress Angelica Lee's 2003 music video for Loved Wrongly.

And his upcoming steamy bedroom romp in Marry Me! with co-star Liu Che-ying may ignite further attention from hot-blooded women.

To help them work up an amorous feeling for the scene, the duo swigged a few glasses of whiskey. It took five takes to wrap it up.

"We are professionals and do what our director wants us to do," said Ho, slightly defensively.

His current image is that of a sunny "Ah Bing Ge" (Mandarin for army boy), he added.

The wholesome image come in handy for his potential entry into larger North-east Asian market.

He signed up with Bae Yong Joon's Japanese management company last year.

Earler this year, he also met reprsentatives of Hong Kong station TVB to explore his opportunities in the territory. he may star in a sjow there as early as Octuber.

There is tak that he may pose a challenge to the four older A-list actors at TVB, namely Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Kevin Cheng and Raymond Lam.

"Everyone has his good point and youth has nothing to do with success," he said.

"But I do have to brush up on my Cantonese first."

Thats what I had been wondering about.. When I read Mike HO, I was like thinking what is that?! Maybe HO is also his another spelling of his surname..coz Mike's blog's URL also got mikeho..

Talking about being pretty, here's an actor who can't even get a
haircut unless he has permission from his bosses.

Some time ago,two of Mike He's assistants were reportedly given a
stern warning by the Taiwanese actor's management company,after they
allowed him to visit the barber.

So naturally,when the 23-year-old came to Singapore recently with co-
star Sha Sha to promote his new TV drama Marry Me, everyone's
attention was on his new short hairdo.

He admitted that he had his bosses' approval as the new cut was for
an advertisement he was shooting.

Mike said: "Actually it's understandabe that you have to inform the
company if you are getting a haircut. Because it involves changing
your image. And since the company arranges your work, it's only
right that they know about it"

The easy-going lad added that he didn't mind such restrictions.

"As long as I get to change the style once in a while, I am happy
enough."
