I keep seeing advertisements for the DVD on television for Hidalgo. I remember that the only reason I went to see this was because Viggo was in it. And while I found the rodeo clown makeup bit to be funny, I still did not entirely enjoy this movie. I didn't even notice the toight pantsh (to borrow an Austin Powers term) until the end of the movie; perhaps if I'd noticed sooner, I would have enjoyed it more.

I don't think I'm going to buy the DVD. Poor Viggo.

I went to watch Hidalgo with a friend of mine who is crazy for Viggo. We giggled and talked all the movie along (we were in a semi-deserted theater).
We noticed the, uhm, lovely trousers Viggo wears. But the movie is quite ridiculous and poor; the night attacts is high improbable. Anyway.

Yeah, I went to see it with a friend who was sympathetic to my Viggo obsession. But at the same time, I was too busy being somewhat bored by the plot to really enjoy what was going on. And people had gone on and on about the scene where he chants in the desert and it was kind of a let down.

Do you know? I've quite forgot many scenes of Hidalgo.
I'm starting remembering now... the attack against the Indians, Buffalo Bill's circus, his horse, the travel, the lady who tries to seduce him...
I liked Omar Sharif, though.

Yeah...I always get Omar Sharif confused though cause there is another Omar Sharif - he was in a few older movies. I think he was in Funny Lady (with Barbara Streisand). Oh wait...that's the same dude! Hooray! I was thinking of the guy in the Mummy...I thought their names were similar.

Wait...that was really Omar Sharif? Oh, he's so adorable as an old man! I recently saw an international film with him...I forget the name. He's great.

Yeah, Viggo's performance was not nearly as entertaining, I think. The end was kinda weird and I never did understand what it was he said at the end of the movie. Such a mumbler - hot, but a mumbler.

I don't remember what he says in the end.
Anyway we get the movies dubbed in the cinema, so I don't know about Viggo's mumbling.
Omar Sharif is a great actor, he played in zillions of movies. One of the most famous is Doctor Zivago, I think. I never saw Funny Girl.

I think the movie was okay, even if I went to go see it twice in the same weekend. tongue.gif

When he was talking in that Indian language, was it just me, or did it sound Elvish? I was waiting for his Aragorn sword to appear...

Yes, Omar Sharif did a really good job in this movie.

So did Viggo's tight pants. cool.gif

I don't think it sounded Elvish. Maybe it was just cause he mumbled, like he does in almost all of his movies. No disrespect intended, of course. wink.gif

Viggo's pants did a good job? That's good to know. I'll be sure to tell him that if I ever see him. Heh.

Okay, the movie was medicore at best....

I went to see the movie for two main reasons:

1. It had Viggo in it. How bad could a movie with Viggo be anyway?

2. Viggo was wearing tight, tight pants. And that my friends, made the whole movie for me. Plot, what plot? I was so caught up in tight pants mode. Tee hee! biggrin.gif

Really? The tight pants made it worthwhile for you?

I don't know...it's just strange; maybe if I'd noticed them at the beginning of the movie, I would have felt differently. But as it is...eh.

What can I say...I'm a sucker for Viggo in tight pants.

Actually, I'm not that harsh of a movie critic and so even the worst movie holds some form of entertainment value for me. I'm odd like that. wink.gif

I'm the same way, Blondie. tongue.gif

I like a movie and then people are like "That was horrid! The plot, acting, costumes, set design... everything sucked!" (yes I know people who say that) and I just sit there silently, because I of course, loved it.

Haha I'm stupid. But oh well, I'm not the only one! *high five*
