Layin' down the Law.

There are a few rules to follow while you are here. It is very important to read these! It is your responsibility if you violate the rules.

That said, here are the few things I would like you to follow:


1. No putting other members down.

If you have problems with a member, send them a PM (personal message) and talk it out that way. Posts of arguments will not be left in public view since it detracts from the topic at hand as well as the fact that it sometimes encourages people to "take sides." The point of this board is to have fun, not to gang up on each other.

Issues that cannot be resolved via PM should be brought to the attention of a moderator.

2. Do not make multiple posts of the same thing.

Once is sufficient. For instance, if you have a picture and you posted it a few days ago, do not start a new thread posting that same picture.

3. Netspeak is the devil's language.

Avoid using it at all costs. Why? Because it pisses me off.

Example: "lol omg lyk that iz 2 funny! lmao i want sum1 to answer my post!"

4. No excessive smilies, all caps, leet speak, sticky caps or punctuation.

Example of smilies/punctuation: "I love that movie!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)"
Example of all caps: "I LOVE THAT MOVIE. IT'S ONE OF MY FAVOURITES."
Examples of leet speak: "ph33r m3. that r0x0rs."
Example of sticky caps: "I hAtE tHiS mOvIe CaUsE iT's ToO lOnG."

5. No double posting.

There is no reason to post twice in a row. No reason. There is an edit button - I prefer you use it. And if no one responds to your topic, you can either PM people and ask them to check out your thread or just let it go. Do not post messages such as "why doesn't anyone answer me?!?!?!?" because that gets nothing accomplished.

6. No dissin' on the mods.

It's fine if you don't agree with something if you can construct your complaints in a straightforward and calm manner. But simply writing "I hate the mods" is not acceptable.

7. Read the rules in every forum.

There are sometimes different rules in each forum, or certain places where your post count will not go up if you post there. These rules can be found at the top of the forum.

Posts with questions that are answered in the rules will be deleted. If you have a question, please look in the FAH-Q forum first; if it's not there, then you can start a thread in said forum. Or you can PM a Moderator - that's what we're here for.

8. Try to stick to a five word minimum.

Please try to make your posts at least five words. It will show that you really have something to say.

9. Consistenly breaking rules will result in a ban.

Not every warning will get you a ban. But if you consistenly ignore the rules or simply cause trouble for the fun of it, then you will be given a ban. Banning will be done at the moderators' discretion.

Rules are made to make the board run better, not to punish you. Please keep that in mind. ;)
