PART 1: Roll Call.

Sector House 304: Level 14

Tac Chief Senior Judge Frederick
“C” watch: 0000 hours – 0800 hours

Roll call:
Judges present:
Etrodia
Cribb
Hagen
deVille
Lucien
Winters
Callan
Corvin
Smith~1
Smith~2
Etc etc etc ………

Frederick looms out from the Lectern that stands before the Sector Hologram projector in the Briefing Hall, level 14, Sector house 304.

“We have new Judges Etrodia and Cribb on this evenings Roll Call. They are fresh from graduation. Welcome. You will be assigned Street Judge Callan until you get to know the sector. “

A helmet, complete with frowning chin snaps towards you.

“ Tac Chief,” Callan barks. “I have leads to follow….”

“Those leads will be followed up by Winters. You know the Sector better than most. If you think this is a Rookie watch then don’t; Etrodia and Cribb are Street Judges. Their badges carry as much authority as yours.”

Once again Frederick addresses the assembled Judges.

“As you are aware the Phat Phridays carnival is only 6 days away and the futsies and crazees are already gearing up to make this one a memorable one. The lines are running hot so be ready for double and treble time. The Sleep Machines are being kept primed and ready.”

The TriD holovid spins a blue image over the podium; vectors of cityblocks each one a small self contained city in its own right, red pinpoints of light indicating recorded crimes. A casual glance reveals over 500 current reports.

“23.43 hours Judge Terell attended a possible Code 17( Random Act of Mindless Violence) at the Grab’n’Go: Floor 217 Amy Winehouse Downward Spiral. Terell reports 3 victims and there is the sound of Lawgiver fire before radio silence.

23.52 Further reports from Cits claiming to be hiding in meat locker. We have a possible 99 Code Red (Judge Down).

We can’t drokk about with this one. Callan, Etrodia and Cribb. You’re on it. Full radio contact with MAC at all times.”

“Come on Noobs,” grumbles Callan, “Time to hit the Skedway!”

In less than a minute your Lawmasters roar along the Judge Lane of Jensen Button Skedway towards the tilting thin silhouette of the Winehouse block.

Part 2: Grab and Go.

You manoeuvre your Lawmasters from the Jensen Button Sked, onto the Craig David slipway at a comfortable 325 mph, applying the power brakes and dropping to a street safe140 as you enter the overpass to the Winehouse Spiral. MAC downloads some info on the A.W.D.S.

>>>“The Amy Winehouse Downward Spiral was one of a series of blocks designed to take advantage of the huge amount of space underneath the Big Meg. Designed as a huge corkscrew above the ground and literally drilled through the pedway until only 5 levels remained above ground. Downbuilding remained a craze for several months, other blocks such as the Pete Doherty Hab-Plunge and the Ashcroft Conapt Wedge were also put to use. Favour fell through when Cits inhabiting these buildings found that despite “NuSun”tm enviro-lamps, loads of Clone-Plants, and large rec areas, the depression rate was huge with Futsie killing sprees and public suicides happening on a daily basis. The Justice Dept also discovered that although the tech was in place to give the average hab a better quality of life that the average overground hab many of the Cits were getting paler with Albinism in newborns becoming more of a norm.

With these facts in mind, the Justice Dept called a halt on any further Downbuilding developments.”

As the Lawmasters drop to level 217 you slow to a pedsafe 25mph.

Calans gruff voice grumble over the Helmet mike,

“The Grab’n Go is 175 yards ahead on the right. Mac has patched a Vector to your HUD. Keep your Lawgivers hot Noobs!”

>>>The Grab’n’Go design is that of a large Munce Synthi-Sub, with an entrance on the far right and an exit on the far left. The toilets are to be located to the right of the entrance doors. The serving counter runs along the back wall of the G’n’G with the kitchens, accessible by the left hand side door and serving hatches, behind that. The Kitchens also house Coldstores and Muncelockers (licenced and in compliance with the Justice Dep). The dining section is at the front (to the left of the entrance) and houses 5 family tables and 8 Billys (Billy-no-Mates single seaters).

As you coast to a halt, you see the internal NuSuns flickering on and off. There is a group of 20 or so pale Cits rubbernecking the plasteen windows; they occasionally shriek, again someone says “Drokking Awsome man, just drokking awesome”

Parked outside of the entrance an unmanned Lawmaster sits with its engines rumbling, twin cannons aimed at the doors. Screenstatus reveals its been in Overwatch for 22 minutes.

Something slams against the inside of front plasteen windows and leaves a bloody smear. The Cits squeal and jump back.

Judge Calan voice roars through his Lawmasters external mic;
“You have the count of three to be out of my sight of each one of you will do Cube Time for loitering! One..Two…..all clear. Pedways yours Noobs.”

This is it, your first case. Next move is yours!

I'll take the exit door on the left, going in fast and low with minimum fuss; I'm packing standard rounds at present but taking out a stum grenade and keeping it ready. I'll also be packing the cling net from the bike. I'll give the kitchens a quick scan and if there's no activity in there I'll try and get a view of the dining area through the serving hatch.

I'll try Terell on the comm and move to the opposite entrance to Cribb.

Once at the Doorway Ill stand overwatch covering Cribb while he moves through the G n G.

I'll move to keep Cribb in LoS if necessary.

Would there a staff entry/exit from the kitchens to outside? If theres likely to be ill ask Callan to cover it as we may end up flushing any perps out that way.

Part 3: Mid-round.

The G’n’G’s doors his open and the smell of synthi-honeyed-oaty munce-synthy-bread fails to mask the sour iron smell of the spilled blood which patterns the floor in large sticky pools and dots the walls in very obvious arterial sprays.

Terrell was incorrect, there is only one visible body lying across a Billy. He has a large torn wound across his neck. From under FamilySeat number 7 there is a rhythmic bumping and the sound of mechanical grinding coming from the kitchens.

Outside, the lights of Callans Lawmaster, fades as he drives away to check the staff and deliveries doors at the back of the shop, following Judge Etrodia’s orders (ETA 1 min and thirty).

By the Kitchens Judge Cribb can see what looks like a huge grayish mass of taught flesh sitting atop the flattened body of what looks like a Synthi Sub artiste. It is from this fleshy mass that the grinding noise comes from. On the floor some yards away is a discarded Yamaha Bellywheel.

Judge Etrodia makes his call to Judge Terrell, from a helmet com hidden somewhere in the shadows there is an electronic “khick” followed by Etrodia’s dialogue. The bumping stops.

From under a table crawls the figure of a Juve, no more than maybe ten years old. As the NuSuns flicker both Judges see that part of its mouth has been torn away and there is a large ragged wound at its throat.

It is focused on Judge Etrodia,

In the kitchen the large fleshy mass has also been alerted by the sound. Hardly able to move it rolls around to the noise. Huge grey veins are visible through the skin as the living corpse (judging by the amount of wounds it couldn’t be anything else) of the Fatty wobbles itself towards the sound. The fatty’s cybernetic jaws grind open and shut at the prospect of new meat.

It is focused on Cribb.

Cribb has first move
Etrodia has 2nd move
Juve has 3rd move
Fatty is incapacitated.

Maybe Terrell was right; three stiffs. Shame two of em wont stay down!!

Part 4

With a predatory hiss the Juve launches itself at Judge Etrodia, it’s pale eyes suddenly sharp and focused.

The Fatty tries to pull itself towards Judge Cribb, its mechanical jaws chopping in blind anticipation, but it is crippled by its own weight and unable to moveat more than a slow shuffle.

Judge Cribb, your ClingNet is designed to hold 3 perps in a flexible plasteel mesh. However it isn’t big enough to do anything more than hamper this one tonne eating machine. Nevertheless, with the mesh wrapped around its head and hands it’ll have a hard time stuffing anything more into its mouth.

Judge Etrodia, the Juve is almost on you when you put three standard execution rounds into it; two in the chest one in the head. The two chest shots seem not to phase the dead child at all but the single head shot takes out much of its brain pan. It stops moving for good.

MAC relays a command to your Helmet COMS, its automated voice harsh in the silence after the gunfire.

“>>>JUDGES CRIBB>ETRODIA>CALAN. Further reports of CODE 17 from inside the meatlocker locker. Attend and Report. Over

Judge Calan is first to reply.

“Calan reporting. [gunfire-3 shots standard formation] Situation. now non-critical. Send a Meat wagon and a med. Looks like 3 leftovers from the Apocalypse War eating a G’n’G worker. None of them are getting up again. Will continue to search for further stiffs. Calan out.”

There is a muffled scream from the meatlocker behind the flailing Fatty.

This is followed by a bang (also from the meatlocker) loud enough to make your ears ring.

Judge Etrodia, you can make out a discarded Judge Helmet lying in the shadows. There are also standard execution casings lying near one of the Billys.

The only noise now is the sallow mechanical grindings of the Fatty’s robo jaws.

Cribb reporting. One Fatty, apparently undead, presently incapacitated; investigating meat locker. Cribb out.

Moving to meat locker, giving fatty a wide berth, with Lawgiver to hand, and opening door.

Over helmet Comms

"Headshots or incendiaries only, torso hits dont slow them down!"

Move over to the Judge helmet and check it over. Looking around to see if there any other signs of him.

Part 5:

Judge Etrodia> Terrells Helmet is splattered with blood and a thick viscous goo dribbles down the visor. The release button has been depressed suggesting that it has been removed on purpose. It is undamaged and still working. There are four impact circles window number 3 and two in the food counter. Shell casings (nine in total) are for Judicial Standard Issues.

Judge Cribb> Giving the Fatty a wide birth is difficult. Taking a broom you weeble it to one side. There is blood on the floor and walls here and judging by the spray it is arterial in nature. There are three different foot prints in the blood. One is Judicial issue. One is a Juves NuNike. One is an adult StreetCreeper likely wearer female.

The MunceLocker is shut and locked and set on a temperature of -12 Celsius. Your Judicial Multikey springs it open.

Inside you see;

Undead Judge Terell minus lower jaw. Lawgiver and helmet missing.
Dead femal cit. minus both hands. Face and chest disfigured; obvious blast damage.
Male Juve approx 12 years of age.

The floor is covered with debris. The Juve is trying to duck out of the way of Terrell with limited success, judging by his breath he is terrified and exhausted. This is a Judge Zombie and it’s fast!

As the doors grate open and warm air from the kitchens steams in both Ex Judge Terrell and the Juve freeze.

But only briefly….

Judge Terrell is lumbering through the wreckage of a weeks worth of frozen MuncePatties.

Judge Callan reports over the Com.

“>>> Jovus, these Drokkers are harder to put down than a cling net!! Done three and I think we’re clear on the outside. How you doooo Arrrgghe Stom…”>>> There is the sound of Lawgiver fire from outside the delivery doors and over the com.

With the sound of crunching plasteel the delivery doors buckle inwards as an out of control Lawmaster careens through them dragging Callan behind it by his Judge boot and crashes to a halt against the adjacent walls.

Callan is fighting with a Zombie Synthy-Sub Artiste who looks like he practised what he preached. He isn’t quite the size of the fatty but he’s working on it. Callans Lawgiver rattles shot after shot into it but each round is being soaked up by the Zombies blubber.

Judge Callan and Zombie two are in Judge Etrodias LoS.
Judge Terrell is in Judge Cribbs LoS

Judge Etrodia has 1st initiative.
Judge Crib has 2nd initiative.
Ex-Judge Terrell has 3rd
Juve will bolt for the door. (Effectivley no action)
Fatty #1 Cling Meshed and Incapacitated.
Judge Callan and Fatty #2 engaged in close combat.

Part Six:

Judge Etrodia> Slamming your boot on the dead Fatty’s neck you ready your Lawgiver to burst its brains. You fire three times; the first two bullets slowing to non lethal velocity within the blubber but the last shatters the bone and reduces the brain to a porridgey pulp.

Callan is injured. He has blood coming out of his mouth and his breathing is ragged. His trigger finger is pumping shots into the Fatty even after has stopped moving. The chamber is empty and the gun should be flashing the Reload symbol on Callans HUD.

Judge Cribb> Ex Judge Terrell lurches at you, his speed only slightly slowed by his undead state. You fire three times (standard judicial practice). The first two bullets hammer into his skull but he is not slowed. The last shot hits his left ear and strips the flesh from the side of his head revealing the gleam of surgical plasteel! – (>>Judicial reinforced surgical plasteel 2.7 mml. Capable of negating lethal velocity of all standard issue rounds. Judicial Medical Comportment Volume 7-bone repair. 3.2.11.13)

With an astonishing burst of speed Terrells hands are clawing at your Helmet!!!!.

The Juve has ducked out of the door and has found himself blocked by Fatty #1. He attempts to climb past but the adhesion cells that are intrinsic to Cribbs cling net attach to the feet of his NuNikes effectively gluing him to the side of the Post-Fatty.

“IM STUCK OH JOVIS GRUD IM STUCK! DONTLETITEATME! DONTLETITEATME!” He yells. “BLOW ITS DROKKING BRAINS OUT” (CODE 12.133- Inciting Violence recommended sentence 1 year Juve Cells; )

Ex-judge Terrel moves first and is engaging Judge Cribb in hand-to-hand combat.
Judge Crib takes next action.
Judge Etrodia takes 3rd action
Judge Callan, Fatty#1 and Juve are incapacitated

Check Callan for external injuries and check for signs of possible infection.

If he shows any possiblity of infection advise Callan that I will need to put him in restraints and call for a med wagon giving the code for an injured Judge.

Should his injuries seem internal but not life threatening i'll call for a med wagon then move to where i can give some support fire to Crib.
