Likes:
~Reading, especially Egyptian and Greek mythology, though the Roman mythology confuses her a bit.
~Art (looking at it,) though she can't draw to save her life. She was raised Catholic, but has begun to have strange dreams lately, though she attributes them to her recent pregnancy. She wonders if looking at a painting of a god or goddess would have the same effect as looking at an icon of a saint. If she prays to them, will they answer?

Dislikes:
~Her uncle James has a boring (to her) financial job which takes up a lot of hours. He's rarely if ever home, and she worries he doesn't like her.
~ Older men. It isn't that she actually dislikes them, but ever since she was raped, they scare her.
~That she's pregnant while still young, and that her parents are gone.
~That her child will likely not have someone to call their father.

Strengths and Weaknesses: Theresa is a lot braver than what she thinks she is, but she needs someone to tell her that. It wasn't easy moving across town and changing schools when her parents died three years ago, but she did it with relatively little trouble. She is a kind, gentle soul with a lovely smile, and those characteristics, as well as her singing and writing talents, have won her many friends. She rarely if ever has a bad word to say about anyone, and is usually a good student, though her grades have slipped recently, due to finding out she was pregnant. Also, even though her rapist happened to be a frequent customer at the restaurant where she works, she has never complained to anyone, and continues working there even though her boss refused to ban the man from his restaurant, though this might be more out of desperation than bravery.

Unfortunately, though, as polite as she tries to be, Theresa has also developed a new habit of jumping to conclusions about people, something she rarely if ever did before the rape. To her, every man older than 30 is now out to get her, and every man younger than 30 wants something from her- something she is afraid of giving them. She would like to meet someone who can teach her how to trust and love again, but she knows it's a silly wish. In her experience, love only happens to those who are perfect, both physically and mentally, and while Theresa might be considered pretty to some, her recent past has definitely traumatized and changed her.

Other Details: Don't ever sneak up directly behind her or you'll scare her to death! While she hopes to take her senior exams later this year, college seems like an impossibility given what has happened to her recently. She mourns this, but feels trapped in her dead-end job, dreading the possibility of seeing her rapist every day. However, she doesn't want to tell her teachers what happened because she is afraid of how they will treat her afterward. She believes in a higher power, maybe even multiple ones, but feels they have deserted her at the moment.
