Personality

Strengths: Marco is very outgoing, does whatever HE thinks is best. Very happy-go-lucky, mellow, and not easily angered. Values and looks out for his friends because he doesn't make many. Can be quite strong and likes to care for animals. Has a good sense of humor (or so he thinks) and likes to make people laugh.

Weaknesses: HORRIBLE at academics. Although he does enough to pass, he always get distracted when studying. Unfortunately, he is very tactless, even though he doesn't mean to offend people. Has a bad memory. Marco has a bad habit of getting into trouble at times, because he enjoys the thrill of breaking the rules. He'll do anything to amuse himself.

Favorite Class: Marco's favorite class is 'Care of Magical Creatures'. This is the only class where he actually feels intelligent, because he thinks that in being a human, he is smarter than any animal. There are also no spells, charms or potions to memorize, which gives him an extra boost of confidence.

Hobbies/Activities: He likes to paint and doodle, (even though he has no artistic skill), he explains his ideas with crude stick figures and bright colors. Any strange animal that he finds he likes to take home and try to care for it, although they tend to run away, or escape and run rampant in the school.

Likes: Chocolate, laughing, piercings, body art, being the center of attention, Rock music, getting into trouble, Quidditch, having leisure time, being adventurous, rebelling, finding new animals, pulling pranks, the color red.

Dislikes: Strict rules, deep water, having to be in uniform, being serous, fish (especially salmon), being alone, snooty people, people with no sense of humor.

Boggart: Being in water so deep that there is no light, a big wall of dark water.

Personality: Marco is one of those people who need to stay active. He isn't hyper, he just needs to keep his mind busy at all times. He speaks and acts without thinking and does things on impulse. He loves surprising people and always has to have attention. He is not easily offended, but isn't afraid to fight. Likes to stand out, and sometimes he tries too hard. Is mainly very mellow, and optimistic, tries to turn his problems into something he can laugh at. He doesn't like to let people see his affectionate or sensitive side, or anything to emasculate him. He loves pushing the limit on what he can do to get into trouble, or get attention.

Appearance

Physical Description: height (5'6')
His body type is very trim and rounded; Broad shoulders, slim/strong arms and hands, lean legs, and a thin waist gives him a slight, masculine hourglass figure.
His face is rounded with a strong jawline and a powerful eagle like nose, similar to those in the old Aztec paintings. He has delicate Cupid's bow lips and slightly slanted almond eyes. His eye color is so dark that they nearly look black. He has dark hair to go with his dark skin; straight, blackish-blue hair that brushes the top of his collar bone, with bangs that reach the top of his cheek bone and is barely long enough to tuck one half of it behind his ear, while the rest cover most of his forehead, leaving one brow exposed. His skin, because of his deeply native Mexican heritage, is a dark, tanned golden olive, but gets paler during the winter due to the lack of sun.
He decorates his face with colorful piercings; He has a red/spiked barbell on his right eyebrow, a thin green hoop on his left nostril, a yellow hoop on his lower lip, and a blue barbell on the top center of his tongue. He also has several studs and hoops crowding his ears.
He likes to wear bright colors and strange patterns, again to get attention.


Family and life before Hogwarts: His mother had to work a full time job, and wasn't able to spend too much time with Marco.(which is probably why he carves attention now) His Father was almost always away because he was an Auror. His Mother, feeling guilty for Marco not having much of a Father figure because they recently divorced, spoiled him and did everything around the house, and because of this, Marco has no experience of how to take much care of himself. Because of his Mother constantly moving around, trying to keep a job, Marco wasn't able to make, or keep too many friends. So he played with the sticks and mud in his yards and he was content. When the owl came with his letter, his Mother was shocked (because she is a muggle) and proud and decided to try and settle down so he could attend.

Residence: Cambridge

Family: The only relatives that he knows are his Mother and Father. His Mother is an immigrant from Mexico, and his Father is a native to England but he wasn't able to meet any of his Father's family because they divorced too early in his life.

Pets: Whatever animal he finds, and whatever decides to stay.
