"Yes. It is very, very high. That's why it'll be cool." TImothy said with a serious look on his face.

He might be crazy. It was a fair bit of nonchalance that he was giving off.

"I doubt people will fall, just cause it'd be too scary to get close to the edge. But then again... I dunno, I was thinking about putting up a small spell wall or railing or something. And emergency brooms in case we get caught. Or need to catch someone."

He frowned. "I don't think it'd be a huge huge party. But you, me and a bunch of cool people. It'd be good."

"I'm getting everyone drunk. I don't think there's much more to it..."

Timothy raised his eyebrows. Now, what else could he add? He was thinking about making some kind of entertainment, but maybe.... hmmm.

"Anyone you know that might be interested?"

Jasper noted the serious look on the boys face and smiled. "Well, you do have a point there. Danger usually does make the most fun." he said.

"Safety precautions. Even if nothing bad happens, we have to have those. Good thinking. Maybe both would be best, and there could be a way around being caught. Isn't there a concealing spell floating around there somewhere? Even if there isn't it doesn't really matter, now does it?" he asked curiously.

He skipped the rest of the conversation and went to the last question Timothy had asked. Yes, there was someone that might be interested. Luke, he was one of the party animals in their little 'group' that Jasper didn't really consider himself part of. Only reason was because he couldn't get along with anyone but Luke. Though, tonight, that seemed to have changed a bit with Timothy.

"Luke would be interested. He's the only one I know, but he'd be the one to help spread the word, though. I'm pretty sure it's been awhile since he's partied, and this'll be a great opportunity for him to drink again. My last question is when will it happen?" Jasper looked at the boy and waited for his reply.

There wasn't much that people didn't know about Luke, everyone knew he was a vampire, and everyone knew he was a party animal. It just added to his so called 'popularity' that was pretty much fake. Then it hit him. Something that would frighten Jasper if it happened that night on top of the Gryffindor Tower.

"There isn't going to be a full moon that night, is there?" he asked, shakily.

"It depends... a concealment spell would be good, I'm just wary about throwing around a lot of spells on top of Hogwarts..." Timothy was musing.

"Oh! A friend? Excellent. Get him on board. I'm not sure. I was thinking of some kind of afterparty. The autumn festival-slash-ball is coming up. Why don't we do after that? True Hogwarts style. Pull an all-nighter."

He caught the twitch in Jasper's face. Weird. This guy have a fear of the moon as well as heights? Wonder if he should just stay in...

"I doubt it? I bet it's going to be cloudy. The summer rains haven't quite gone over yet, and I bet we'll get a few warm fronts until the end of September. If it rains though, we can just hold it another time. Though, now that you mention it, overcast would be best, seeing as how we'd be less visible from the grounds without the moon."

Maybe he should check the weather for the next two weeks and find out if that was possible. It would probably save a lot of potential trouble. Yes, good thinking. This Jasper guy was bang-on this stuff.

((I edited the original post, but seeing as how this thread is deader than ethan hawke's film career, I'll just bang a nail on it and start it again in another forum.))

"Right."

Timothy downed the last of his butterbeer, the tea, and snarfed yet another scone.

"Irrrrrrr'mmmm gohhnnnana get thisshhhh pahhhrtahhhhy starhhhhrtted," he said with his mouth full of crumbs.

Timothy picked up his plate and started walking out.

"See you tomorrow in the Great Hall for brekkers? I think I'll have a better idea of what we're doing then."
