Melody is 16 and an all around worn out Hufflpuff. Raised in a large muggle family with deep-set and rigid religious views, her life was turned upside when she started Hogwarts. Somehow, she just becomes more increasingly uptight, stressed out, paranoid, and just simply anxious as the years go by. Poor miss Peddleton is probably near her breaking point, her panic attacks have reached an all time high of once a week. Other than that, she's very sweet, caring, and loyal--just like any hufflepuff should be.

For Melody, the girl definitely needs FRIENDS- people who are there to calm her down, maybe even ease her mind and help her come into her own a little more. She definitely needs a best friend, and also a bad influence would be fabulous. Maybe somebody who gets a few drinks in her once or twice, takes her out of this perfectionist shell a little bit? Otherwise, just some true friends would be appreciated.

I don't think ENEMIES would be hard to come by. She's 'unafraid of toil' and will stand up for herself and others. Especially if she's feeling particularly high-strung that day, she's known to be quick with a hex or two when provoked in fact. Being competative and hard-working, there are going to be students who dislike her.

As far as LOVE goes, there must be somebody out there for everybody, but the poor gent who falls for Melody is going to have a lot to deal with. Melody doesn't pay a whole lot of mind to relationships, as she's so concerned with grades, but i'm sure she'll develop a few crushes and flirt here and there. Any ideas on anything above, just post! :)

Hey there! Well I replied to one of your threads and I think that my character Leo could definitely be the best friend but bad influence type of friend that Melody needs. Part of my character's plot is that she just had a huge really bad falling out with on of her best friends and so she's a little lonely now. I figure with the way i replied to a hint of herself, it could really be the start of a great friendship.

They are both intelligent and i think would really be good for each other. Melody seems quiet and a bit reserved but she needs someone to lean on. Leo is loud and obnoxious sometimes but she needs someone lean on too. I think with Melody's parents not being proud of her for being a witch is really similar to Leo's parents never being proud of her because she's not a Slytherin. Leo can bring out the wild side of Melody and calm her down when she's stressing out. Melody would really be able to subdue Leo's loud qualities and make her think about someone other than herself.

It seems even more perfect when you think about their academic tendencies. Melody is really concerned about her grades and Leo is borderline obsessed with them, sometimes disappearing for a few day in the library without talking to anybody. They could really help each other relax about grades, stop stressing out, and of course studying sessions would be a must. Leo needs a best friend too, similar enough to her that she really relates to her but someone different enough to balance out her personality. I think Melody would be perfect for this.
