Cast (story NPCs)

[SparkCaster]

GM's notes: who i paired as far as MM/Sonic, was based on similar personality traits and/or story roles (and in some cases, color schemes)
...who i include is mostly based on favoritism X)
also, i dont include anyone from games i havent played, as i wouldnt know what theyre like.. (hence no Rouge/Marino, etc.)
as to why i use the Japanese names? also favoritism.. Rock, Blues, Forte.. just sound cooler ...and makes a nice little pun in the case of Metal, lol
some liberties were taken with back stories in order to better fit the RPG world, please do not be offended

-PS if anyone can think of a good Sonic equivalent for Fafnir (mm zero) let me know




HEROES:

-Rock, the Hedgehog-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Rock+X, Sonic Equivalent- Sonic)
the title character
a blue anthro hedgehog, laid back thrill-seeker, archenemy of Eggman
Rock is well known for his speed, probably the fastest living thing on Earth

-Zero, the Echidna-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Zero, Sonic Equivalent- Knuckles)
a red anthro echidna with a white crescent-shape mark across his chest
Zero is a sometimes rival, sometimes ally of Rock, and is as strong physically as Rock is fast, able to shatter solid stone with his bare fist
Zero is serious and diligent, but somewhat naive due to spending most of his time isolated from civilization on a sparsely populated floating island, where he stands guard over the Master Emerald

-Miles "Tails" Prower-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- ?, Sonic Equivalent- obvious)
a young anthro fox with 2 tails, from whence he gets his nickname
he idolizes Rock and follows him loyally, and in return, Rock treats him much like a younger brother
Tails is a boy genius who rivals Eggman in terms of inventions
Tails' jet, the Tornado, transforms into a Ride Armor, allowing him to fight alongside Rock

-Sage, the Hedgehog-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Sage Harpuia, Sonic Equivalent- Silver)
a silver colored anthromorph hedgehog, with quills forming a fan-like crest on his head
Silver is psychic, able to use psycho-kinetic abilities to move objects with his mind, levitate, and project invisible force barriers

-Blaze, the Cat-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- ?, Sonic Equivalent- obvious)
a pyro-kinetic purple anthromorph cat from another plane
in her world, Blaze is a princess, and it shows in her proud and noble bearing


ANTI-HEROES:

-Blues, the Hedgehog-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Blues/Proto Man, Sonic Equivalent- Shadow)
a black anthro hedgehog with red stripes along his spines and limbs
Blues was created by Dr Gerald as 'the ultimate life-form'
self confident bordering on arrogant, but with power to back it up
Blues is one of Rock's most powerful rivals
using jet skates, he can even match speeds with the blue hedgehog
but his most notable ability, is the 'Chaos Control': the ability to directly tap the power of a Chaos Emerald, allowing him to warp time and space

-Siren, the Bat-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Siren Leviathan, Sonic Equivalent- Rouge)
a female anthro bat with white fur, an exceptional bust, and fondness for form-fitting attire
Siren is a femme fatalle who makes a living as a covert agent, and in her spare time hunts for treasure, especially jewels
this originally brings her into conflict with Knuckles, as the Master Emerald was once one such jewel she set her sights on..



VILLAINS:

-Eggman-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Dr Wily, Sonic Equivalent- obvious)
the primary antagonist of the RPG world
Dr. Robotnik, also known as Dr. Eggman
a scientist and inventor with an IQ over 300
angered by a world that couldnt appreciate his genius, Eggman made it his mission to use his inventions to achieve world domination
the only thing standing in his way? Rock, the Hedgehog
time and again, Rock foils his plans and defeats his inventions, only for Eggman to rise again, more determined, and armed with more and more powerful machines...

-Metal Rock-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Forte/Bass, Sonic Equivalent- Metal Sonic)
Eggman's most powerful creation
...if rebellious and disobedient
Metal is obsessed with surpassing and defeating the original Rock, to prove that it is the strongest
..it simply views Eggman as an incompetent hindrance
crafted in Rock's image, Metal possesses all of his capabilities, and equal if not superior power, yet despite this, it is consistently defeated by Rock, which only serves to fuel its obsession

-Squid-
see MaxCorp.

-Sirius Red-
younger 'brother' of Cerberus and Fenris
Fenris often joked that, with a yellow and pink unit, theyd have a full sentai team
Sirius's abilities revolve around explosions and fire, he loves nothing more than violence and destruction
like his brothers, Sirius was once a loyal subordinate of Maxwell, but due to manipulation by Squid, defected to Eggman, so he could have the thrill of fighting against his brother Cerberus

-Panzer Leucos-
an anthroid crab built like a tank, hence the name Panzer
Leucos' bulky armored body hides a multitude of weapons, including missile launchers, beam cannons, even solid ammunition gatlings

-Jacknife Rapit-
a small, nimble anthroid hare
Jack carries 2 pairs of swords: one at his sides for easy quickdraw, and one pair on his head, which double as ears
his highly tuned limbs move with blinding speed
his specialty attack involves wielding his 4 swords seemingly all at once...
Jack is cocky and impatient, but never lets it get in the way of carrying out his orders

-Snipe Hawkeye-
a bird anthroid who speaks with an Australian accent
he wears a leather jacket and jeans over his armor, and a black helmet equipped with a cutting-edge targeting system, and decorated with 3 white fins that resemble feathers,
his chest plate is marked with a symbol of cross-hairs
the energy streams from his flight gear resemble large feathery wings
he is currently partnered with Jack
in contrast to Jack, Snipe is calm and collected, as one would expect from someone of his weapon spec.
he has unmatched skill with all forms of ranged weaponry, but primarily uses a specially modified one-handed sniper rifle

-Impact Leo-
a hulking, lion anthroid wearing black armor
he relies on brute strength, and his enormous clawed gauntlets, in battle
his destructive power is immense, lingering in striking range is not advised..
in contrast to his immense strength, Leo is actually quiet, pacified, and docile, unless provoked, or given orders to attack
he serves as the brawn to Sola's brain

-Sola Renard-
a sleek, graceful kitsune anthroid with long black hair
her nine flowing tails are formed from jets of a mysterious purple flame, which curiously never catches her hair on fire
she is very spiritual and mystical, but also dark and twisted
Sola is the brain to Leo's brawn, directing his actions and lending support fire from her favorite perch on his massive shoulder
the 2 are rarely seen separately

-Ebonhyde Caiman-
a crocodilian anthroid covered in black diamond scales, each scale sporting a bladed fin
he prefers to be called 'Hyde
his primary method of attack is curling his body into a wheel and rolling over his enemy
this functions as both offense and defense as it shields his soft underbelly

-Fractal Ctenizid-
a sneaky, devious spider anthroid, with eight long spindly limbs, 5 eyes, and mandibles which resemble a mustache
he prefers to go by simply 'Zid'
his Fractal Shell weapon functions as not only a defensive barrier, but also as a trap to capture prey, or as a projectile to be shot at opponents
he is paired with 'Hyde, another defensive type
an example of their teamwork involves 'Hyde curling into his rolling attack, and Zid encasing him in a barrier for greater protection, as well as increased roll speed and impact


MAXCORP.:

-Richard Maxwell-
the brilliant, charismatic, if somewhat eccentric, Owner and Leader of MaxCorp.
Richard is a 15 year old prodigy not only in business, but in science and engineering, responsible for the advent of HardSuits, which has, not surprisingly, amassed him a small fortune
publicly, he devotes his company to technology and innovation
behind the scenes, he uses it to satisfy his endless curiosity on anything and everything, to amass as much knowledge as humanly possible

-Marina, AKA 'Squid'-
an employee of MaxCorp. working directly under Maxwell ..tho what she actually does no one seems to know..
a spastic female reploid who wears neon orange, fish-themed armor, complete with a helmet decorated with eyes and fish fins
her main weapon is an arm cannon which fires seemingly harmless bubbles... underwater however, these bubbles explode on contact with enough force to shatter solid concrete
...few know that Marina is actually a double agent for Eggman, complete with an alternate blue and purple octopus themed armor ..which makes more sense with the nickname 'Squid'...
her ditzy facade hides a devious and calculating mind ...tho only slightly smarter than she pretends to be...


-Fenris Black-
direct subordinate to Squid, under MaxCorp.
a black Anthroid wolf with the power to control gravity
Fenris is one of Richard's closest and most trusted confidantes
Fenris's primary mission is to monitor Squid, and, should she prove a threat to MaxCorp.'s interests, eliminate her
his cover goes so far as to pose as a defector to Eggman, however he remains loyal to Maxwell
Fenris's agility, combined with his fangs, claws, sickle blades, and gravity manipulation powers, give him a distinct advantage in battle

-Cerberus Blue-
a blue wolf-like anthroid, considered to be Fenris's older brother
like Fenris, Cerberus is one of Maxwell's most trusted subordinates
Cerberus works directly under Maxwell as personal security detail
his abilities are based on ice: using the agility and maneuverability of a lupine-type anthroid combined with powerful arms, large, smashing fists, and vents covering his body that emit extreme low temperature gas, to easily overwhelm, freeze and shatter his enemies

-Slick-
a Reploid covert agent working directly under Maxwell
he wears black armor over a gray body, with a visored helmet and yellow scarf
in his left palm is a horizontal slit that holds several disks
these disks form a beam-edged lash blade made up of multiple spinning energy saws
Slick is a laid-back trickster who likes giving enemies a false sense of security while he looks for a chance to strike
he seems to have a personal interest in Squid...

-Dr. Talpid-
Maxwell's top robotics specialist, who seems to have his own hidden agenda..
Talpid repairs and maintains all anthroid/reploid employees at MaxCorp. and on the side, deals information
his body is something of a cross between a rat and a mole, with large powerful claws that transform into drills, and a long, prehensile, rat-like tail
his tail is primarily used for typing, and can achieve 300WPM with zero errors, a fact that Talpid is very proud of
in battle, it doubles as an electrified whip

-Rick Ringtail-
anthro cyborg raccoon and ace mechanic, Rick specializes in making battle vehicles out of salvaged junk
his tail contains a powerful beam weapon
he is close friends with Vincent and Spike, and tolerates Blitz

-Blitz Krieger-
elder half-brother of Spike, Blitz is a tall and powerfully built anthro cyborg lizard
an expert marksman and weapon maniac, he carries a massive blaster cannon longer than he is tall, able to wield it with one arm
he is highly protective of his brother, and shows no mercy to any threat

-Spike, the Reptile-
Spike is the younger half-brother of Blitz, and an anthro cyborg turtle
Spike is said to have dragon's blood flowing in his veins, thus he is more powerful than your average anthromorph
because of his dragon blood, he is able to use an ancient sword and armor of great power

-Vincent, the Echidna-
an anthro cyborg echidna, green in color, with earpieces resembling headphones, and a metal plate over part of his face, with a red prosthetic eye
Vincent is linked to the Mecha-Emerald, an experimental mechanical Master Emerald replica powered by Chaos Shards
solitary and serious, his only real friend is Rick
he has great respect for Spike, but because of their mutual introverted natures, the 2 hardly speak


OTHER:

-Dr. Gerald -
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Dr. Light, Sonic Equivalent- Eggman's grandfather)



-Amy Rose-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Roll, Sonic Equivalent- obvious)
a young pink anthro hedgehog, who is obsessively, stalkerishly infatuated with Rock
Amy follows him everywhere, armed with her trusty piko hammer


-Auto, the Crocodile-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Auto, Sonic Equivalent- Vector)
leader of the 'Chaotix detective agency', comprised of himself, Phantom, and Charmy
while he appears clumsy and incompetent, his reasoning skills are sharp, and he often notices details others miss
he also has a fondness for bubblegum, gold chains, and listening to music on his headphones
his motto is 'we'll take any job that pays'

-Phantom, the Chameleon-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- Hidden Phantom, Sonic Equivalent- Espio)
a purple anthromorph chameleon ninja
part of the Chaotix detective agency
soft-spoken, serious, and diligent
like all chameleons, Phantom is able to manipulate his body coloring to blend with his surroundings

-Charmy Bee-
(Rock Man/Mega Man Equivalent- ?, Sonic Equivalent- obvious)
hyperactive mascot of the Chaotix detective agency
Charmy is a young anthromorph honey bee

-Rita Christopher-
a scientist formerly employed by MaxCorp.
Rita is obsessed with machines, to a point where if she encounters one she's not familiar with, she has the urge to dismantle it and see how it works
while she tries to restrain this habit and only dissect malfunctioning or dangerous robots, sometimes she just cant help herself
an interesting note, is that her feline tail splits into 2 about half way down its length
her blue/black HardSuit is named KuroNeko (lit. 'black cat')
