[17:09] * Rayne speed rushed back to where Airi was sleeping, scanning around for her, then giggles.. thinking or ghost girl.. then poof! shes lands on her, eeping ' hm.. er.. sorry heh'
[17:18] * [Airi] ghosts her body, settling with arms folded on Rayne's back 'hi vamp lady'
[17:19] * Rayne sighs, standing carefully ' sorry ill work on my landing.. ' making sure she doesnt hurt ghost girl as she stands up* ' hi Airi'
[17:20] * Jerred activates his wings and floats up into the air, flying east by south east, then he see's them, and sighs..."ah well, might as well..." with that he swoops down and then floats above the ground nearby just out of sight, then landing as he disables his wings.
[17:27] * [Airi] sits in the air 'Majo-sama wants me to go to this scary library and pick up a book.. wanna come?' she tilts her head up 'i guess jj can come too, unless he's scared of girls or something'
[17:28] * Jerred walks out from behind a tree, and bows, "no i would love to come, i could use to catch up on my reading...for one...nor am i afraid of women thank you..."
[17:31] * Rayne floats up a little ways ' sure, lead the way GG.. id love to try out my new powers *winking at JJ
[17:33] * [Airi] flies toward the west, deeper into the wastelands that surround the Black Swamp (and away from jeromiah's slave orgy camp)
[17:34] * Jerred flicks his wrist and whispers a word, and reactivates his wings, flying after [Airi]...."hmm..."
[17:36] * Rayne flies higher, following GG laughing softly
[17:41] * [Airi] flies for some distance.. across the edge of the swamp and far on the other side from Jerred's love shack, finally landing in front of an abandoned, decaying library.. she recalls the swamp witch's words: "there is a book in an old library that i want you to obtain.. a dark arts book that will teach you many new skills.. however, a powerful demon has taken residence in that library, one far too strong for you to enslave, much less defeat.."
[17:49] * Jerred lands in front of the decripide decaying building, almost wanting to shed a tear, at the loss....whispering..."mourn the loss, but let the weeping cease..." he then laughs to, and at himself...
[17:52] * Rayne gasps, clapping happily ' books.. on what.. what kind of books?!
[17:53] * [Airi] gulps, manifesting her scythe, keeping it at her back, stepping towards the building slowly..
[17:55] * Jerred slowly draws his katana, "so it begins....I do hope the knowledge contained within...is worth, what we may sacrifice..."
[17:58] * Rayne floats next to Airi ' so.. whats in here ghost girl.. something powerful to stop us?
[18:01] * [Airi] cautiously pushes open the door, stepping inside 'Majo-sama said there's a scary demon in here..'
[18:05] * Jerred frowns, looking at [Airi]...."a....demon....oh boy that takes me back farther then i want to think...indeed, my foolhardy childhood...and not in a good way..."
[18:08] * Rayne sighs ' demons.... aw well, lets get the book then ill juice this place..
[18:12] * [Airi] floats along slowly, looking around carefully.. the building is aged, decrepit, and collapsed in several places.. the sunlight streams in through large gaps in the ceiling, and everywhere moss covered fallen support beams lie scattered.. but curiously, the books are untouched and clean, as if they were brand new..
[18:15] * Jerred frowns, "not until we gain as much from it..including books...that we can..." He blinks..."i feel like i've died and went into book restorer's heaven...this type of tech has been totally lost...on my home planet...." He practically drools at the books....then frowns..."on the other hand, this could be a book illusion..."
[18:24] * Rayne shudders ' a sheild spell on books.. demons dont do this sort of things.. so they JJ ? floating carefully into the place, flooding herself in a strong ass shadow sheild
[18:33] * [Airi] shrugs 'it IS a sorcerors' library, these things are to be expected.. spellbooks arent much good if theyre rotten are they' she looks carefully for the book that has the symbol the witch described to her, scooping a book here or there that catches her interest ..briefly, tossing the ones that dont hold her attention here there and anywhere
[18:40] * Jerred looks at if he is reading an invisible book for a second...."no...their sheilds are of a more destructive then perservitive in nature...." he frowns, nodding, "yes a sorcerer's library...which means the good stuff is usually hidden from sight...and probably everything we're seeing is really worthless, or an illusion...and that is probably a trap...."
[18:41] * Rayne slides a few dark arcanic books into her pack thingy, shrugging a little ' lets jsut find the book, and kill sthe demon
[18:46] <[Airi]> a creature steps out of the shadows.. his body is a bizarre, nightmarish patchwork of human and demon flesh.. he has one human eye of blue, and one blood red demonic eye surrounded in a patch of black skin, horns sproutting from his forehead, long black spikey hair, oversized fists adorned on back with more demonic eyes, legs like a beast, large wings, and a spade tail 'kill the demon.. huh.. id like to see you try..'
[18:47] * [Airi] eeps
[18:51] * Jerred frowns "oh bloody hell, its not a demon at all..its a chimera...or should i say he...." He looks at the demon, "well done, merging the physical flesh with that of the demon kind, though i would have thought such symbiosis...in anyform, wether demon or not is inherently unstable...mentally and quite possibly physically...did you manage to make a more perfect symbiosis...then that which normally occures?"
[18:52] * Rayne bites her thumb, forming a blood whip, arching a brow ' you heard me beast.. kill you..are you deaf..
[18:59] * [Airi] drops to the floor, summoning her bone dog armor.. she can sense the demon's overwhelming aura, betting she wouldnt be able to ghost in time if he attacks her.. the demon's eyes widen sharply at Jerred's words, it quicksteps directly in front of him, slamming his fist into Jerred's gut 'I DIDNT ASK TO BE BORN THIS WAY!!'
[19:05] * Jerred flies almost into a wall but teleports away from the wall just before slamming into it. "Most interesting...." he repears crouching and breathing hard holding his gut..."so you were 'born'...Is this your library, or someone elses, if it's yours you havent kept the place up, though i congradulate you on the books...such power is indeed worthy of note what ever the case..."
[19:07] * Rayne reinforces her shadow sheild as much as she dares too w/o draining her power, backing away slightly, clutchnig at her whip, snapping it at the beast ' play nice now..'
[19:11] <[Airi]> the demon lifts a hand, in his hand forms a ball of wicked blood red flames.. the demonic eyes on its body glow 'what did you come here for.. did the witch send you to torment me?' Airi shakes her head quickly 'i just came to get a book, that's all!'
[19:21] * Jerred frowns...."the witch....hmmm...it seems you and i have a mutual dislike for a certian being...and i would love to read all of these books...refresh my memories of powers long gone, and further my knowledge of new magic...i would rather that we could get along..." He stand and holds out his palm " then throwing it to the ground "come forth by my power and mine alone, E kapa et Mathe, come forth My Gollum!" A glowing blue glyph shown upon the ground, s
[19:23] <Jerred> surrounded by a six point star in a circle then suddenly a gollum made of dirt, taking the form of an bunch of tenticles wraps around the demon.
[19:24] * Rayne sits back arching a brow at the demon ' we play nice and ghost girl gets the book or.. do we start spilling blood?
[19:31] <[Airi]> the demon clenches his fist, the flames spread over his arm, feeding on his skin.. he slams his fist into Jerred's tentacle golem, crushing it into dirt with a single strike, the flames from his fist shoot through the golem dust and rush at Jerred 'i have no interest in making alliances with those weaker than myself..' Airi blinks, spotting the very book she seeks clenched in the demon's other hand
[19:34] * Rayne flies upwards, so shes not in the way, watching, smirking ' so lets have the book and we'll leave
[19:38] * Jerred drops the power of the gollum, "thank you..." as he too spots the book he whispers something as he teleports behind the demon, his katana glowing blue forming to other blades of blue energy as he attempts to slice of the demons arm, which is holding the book...smirking he whispers "gail slice...."
[19:47] <[Airi]> the demon easily tracks Jerred's movements, but lets the attack tear through his arm, only for his arm to grow back together before it even touches the ground, he lifts the book gripped in his oversized fist 'is THIS the book youre looking for?' a twisted, maniacal sneer spreads across his features.. Airi backs away, nodding 'yeps, that's it, can i have it? please?'
[19:54] * Jerred frowns "I grow weary of your games demon...which is not a good thing when dealing with an Atlantean" he jumps back...growling...
[19:56] * Rayne forces JJ back, facing the demon ' since you dont care to tangle with the weak, does this mean you will allow ghost girl the book she came here to get?'
[20:05] <[Airi]> the demon arches a brow 'games.. so then, should i attack for real?' the building shakes as the demon's aura flares, the eye on his free hand begins to glow bright gold as a black aura surrounds it.. Airi cringes 'we didnt come here to fight you ..except maybe jj.. we just want the book so we can leave' the demon smirks at Airi 'i dont care if you take it, but i have one condition, first... wound me..'
[20:09] * Jerred starts laughing, "No, I was trying to be civil, you on the other hand, are trying to harm us and play games...either way its still a cat playing with a mouse...are you that bored, that you attack anybody without the slightest provication...and as for this, i grow weary...and i can tell you do not wish for me to be here..." with that he seemed to fade from existance only to appear on the hill outside the tower...
[20:15] * Rayne smirks ' she allowed to have help or is this one on one?
[20:20] <[Airi]> the demon relaxes, letting his aura fade 'if you think it will make a difference, youre welcome to attack me all at once, i wont even fight back' Airi blinks.. 'i dont get it.. you WANT us to hurt you??'
[20:23] * Rayne arches a brow ' your a masschoist??
[20:40] <[Airi]> the demon lifts his hand 'i hate this body.. this cursed half human blood coursing through my veins.. the mother who cursed me, the villagers who exiled me, left me for dead.. but no matter what i do to it, my body refuses to die..' Airi blinks 'ouch man..'
[20:42] * Rayne blinks, shivering, trying to hide her pitty for the demon, knowing that would only enrage him
[20:49] <[Airi]> the demon smirks a sad, depraved smirk 'so, do your worst, and if you hurt me enough, ill give you the book, deal?' Airi takes hold of her scythe 'no problem'
[20:55] * Rayne 's hands flare up with black power
[21:00] * [Airi] focusses dark magic into her scythe, pouring as much power as she can into one spell.. she swings her scythe violently, releasing dozens of crescent blades of dark magic to slice the demon's body, the blades leave several gashes in the demon's body, cutting his limbs to peices, but the damage quickly repairs itself..
[21:02] * Rayne forms her dark power into bladed air waves, throwing it at the demon
[21:10] <[Airi]> Rayne's blades cut holes into the demon's flesh, bones, and organs.. the wounds rapidly close as if they were never there.. Airi swings her scythe in a low arc, wacking the demon in the crotch, she then pulls up on it sharply, splitting him in half vertically..the split closing mere inches after the scythe passes..
[21:12] * Rayne forms her blood thorned whip, slashing the demon in bits as fast as seh can
[21:18] * [Airi] plants her scythe on the ground, using it to lean on, panting softly.. the demon's body heals, and he looks at the book in his hand.. after a moment, he tosses it to Airi 'there you go' Airi looks at the book as it lands at her feet, then looks at the demon 'you sure?'
[21:19] * Rayne sighs, landing ' what the hell..
[21:27] * [Airi] carefully picks up the book, looking at the demon.. he simply smirks sadly 'i told you, my body doesnt die.. ..about that book.. it's written by demons.. you arent a summoner, are you?' Airi blinks 'in training.. why?' the demon chuckles 'a half demon summoner.. well, tell ya what, you get strong.. strong enough to kill me.. if you can send me to hell, ill make a contract with you, deal?' Airi grins, nodding
[21:28] * Rayne gasps, suddenly envious...
[21:30] <[Airi]> the demon waves as he walks off, deeper into the ruined library, back into the shadows from which he emerged 'name's Itami, btw.. later, little half demon'
[21:31] * Rayne grabs Airi and leads us back out of the library
[21:31] * [Airi] vanishes her scythe, floating into the air, hugging the book
