14year oldFEMALEis aFirst Year full name;Edith Arlette Yvan nicknames;Dee; Edi; Arlette (by her parents) d.o.b;January 1st ( the day of new beginnings, something that fits well for Edith’s fresh personality) sexuality;Edith refuses to give in to labels, but would be considered straight yet open to exploring as she gets older employment;Straight "A" Student, at the moment hometown;Switzerland smokes? drinks? drugs? No, Edith is more of a “natural girl” and refuses to give her well-being over to the awful chemicals that hide in cigarettes. Unless you count a couple harmless sips of her mother’s wine from when she was younger, than no. Nope, at least she can be somewhat proud of that. personality; The night Edith was brought into the world was one of joy and excitement, for it was January 1st, New Year’s Day. The day kids were actually allowed to stay up past midnight. The day where fireworks lit up the sky so often that whenever you would look up it was more likely you would see the vivid sparks of one rather than the night sky. Little did her parents know what influence her birthday day would have over her, for she turned into the icon of that day: a firework. Edith is very spirited and loves to do things she knows her father wouldn’t approve of. She doesn’t do it for some large, complex reason but she just loves to see the look of anger that take over his face when he walks into one of her pranks. Or maybe she just does it so that someone will notice her, even if it is for something she’s done wrong. Being the youngest usually means you are the most looked after, the baby of the family that everyone watches over but it isn’t quite that way. You see, Edith is one of those people who can walk into a room with a smile on her face and the rest of the room will smile, but only if people take the time to look her way. She has a special aura around her that you can’t really explain. It’s just a happy sense that makes you happy too, but no one takes the time to actually pay attention to her, to notice this. She feels like a chameleon, always blending into her surroundings, never being seen. Like one of those extras in the background of a movie that you never pay attention to since your focus is all drawn to the main characters. She’s not quite sure why she is such camouflage and is consistently pondering it. Sure, she isn’t some big glittering sign in the middle of nowhere, with nothing else to look at but she isn’t the most boring stick in the mud.Her style of clothing is somewhat unique what with it’s combination of retro, comfortable, and classy. And she loves organic products, as well as art. The rest, she considers is pretty average, or just nerdy. She loves books and schoolwork, and has the most fun going to art museums. She loves animals and helping the world, and she sticks up for what she believes in. Which could be considered unique to some extent, at least. She also loves jazz and classical music and always had a deep fascination for the harp. All this though –her mischievous streak, half girly half tomboy persona, her ability to make anything look like a good situation, her love for nature – was ignored. And [i]is[/], for the most part, still ignored. All she can do is hope that changes soon. history; Edith had been born premature, like her older sister which was why she was so close in age to her older brother, and the fourth boy in the family. She had been born three months earlier than she was supposed to be, and because of so she came in weighing at 5 pounds and 1 ounce, which is still a fairly healthy weight, for a premature baby of course. Despite her being born early she was an energetic, bubbly baby but was ignored for the most part. You would think that because she was the youngest of her many siblings she would be the baby of the family, the one that everyone is especially overprotective of, but it never really worked out like that.It was like all the positions were already filled: the rebellious ringleader position belonged to Alan, the mischievous twin role was already assigned to Lukas and Mathias, and of course Tina was the sweetheart, the daddy’s princess. So that left Edi with the role of the stander by, the one that just watched all the commotion from the sidelines. She pretty much kept to herself as she followed around all the “big kids” since at age three she realized that there was no hope in getting their attention. They liked to play amongst themselves, so Edi just tagged along or resorted herself to sitting alone under a tree and drawing in a little sketchpad. The only person in the family that really paid attention to her was her mother who always made sure to love her children equally. She was consistently reminding Edith that one day she wouldn’t be so lonely, that she would grow older and be the apple’s of everyone’s eye. The idea of that still made Edith’s stomach all fuzzy and warm inside. Her mother wasn’t able to be with her often since she was so busy but when she could be Edi was at her happiest. As Edith grew she began to love art and books more. She knew that if no one could be there to dry up her tears a good book of fairytales would be. She also grew to have a love for animals and healing. She cured so many little hurt forest animals over the years that it was hard to remember them all. Because of her avid reading she became more mature than any other young kid might be, and at this point has the intellect of a 17 year old rather than your averge 14 year old. When all her older brothers and sister went off to Majestic Academy, she was left behind, even more alone than before. But soon she was off to school too, where she was still quite reclusive up until she decided that it was time to become more than a speck in the corner of her siblings’ eyes, and actually began confiding in them. She still isn’t too close to any of them, but she intends to form stronger bonds with all of them throughout the course of her five years at this school. extra; OTHER STUFF likes; - Art of all kinds- Drawing, Painting, Sculpting (…the works)- Animals- Her Mother- Her Siblings- Nature- Books- Black Coffee (shh, her brother doesn’t know she drinks it, although he probably wouldn’t care)- Learning about History- Pranks- Sarcasm- Jokes- Helping Out People- Pretty much anything layered in sugar- Optimism- Mature Outlooks- Theories- School dislikes; DISLIKES DISLIKES DISLIKES family; MOTHER: Queen Analiese Yvon~ A strict woman who rules the country with a fair but iron fist. She favors her three eldest boys more than her other children, but she spoils her eldest son rotten. But because she knows how unaccompanied and deserted her youngest daughter feels, she has a weak spot for her and is often sneaking little talks in with her when she has time, telling her stories of how successful she will turn out to be one day. Being a woman on a throne she has become a rough lady but she still has a serious weak-spot for her children, though she has never really raised her children because of her busy life, so she relied on her oldest boy to raise the children along with her husband. FATHER: Sir Edon Yvon~ A very composed and serious man, who pressures his children way too much. He expects only perfection out of them, and to his surprise, most of his children as FAR from what he wants. His eldest in fact hates and rebels against Edon at every opportunity. He is a counter to his wife who is accepting and allows a lot longer of a leash on her children. Edon is in a constant battle over his sons and daughters, trying to get them to follow the right path, but with an example of Alan, none of them stay on the line for very long. With Edith for example, she caught the mischievous bug from her eldest brother and is pulling pranks often because of it. Edon isn’t especially crude to Edith, but instead he pays her no attention at all, despite the normal “Pass the peas” at the dinner table, which in Edith’s opinion is even worse than being yelled at. Sometimes she thinks her father doesn’t even realize she’s there.SIBLINGS: None of them really pay much attention to Edith, but just kind of acknowledge she’s there and that’s about it. That is until this year when Edith became set on changing that and maintaining stronger relationships with her older siblings. Which she is working on now. out of character; I've been RPing for about 2 years, i think...but I've been writing since the mere age of six.
