Welcome
The Year was 2012, it was a normal December night, but suddenly there was a huge light that was seen around the world. Everything fell apart quickly after society fell. It was three years before the Committee for Better Living was formed. This Committee set up a system of monarchies, an illusion of control for the people. It is now 2054, and the next generation of royals are in high school. Welcome to High School, Your Majesty! Enjoy your stay!

Saphire had been busy. She'd been partying more recently, waking up in houses of people who she didn’t know. She even admitted to herself that recently she'd been a bit out of control but she put it behind her, in the back of her mind and went back to dancing anyway. She hadn't spent time with her family, she hadn’t played her piano. She'd been harder, only messing with her drums. The emotions rose inside her for reasons she couldn’t comprehend at the time. That morning Saphire had woken up lying on her drums with her sticks in her hand and a broken bottle of liquor on the ground. Why? She didn’t know. But she decided that a coffee. Coffee was a favourite of Saph's and she had often hung out in the cafe down the street.
Retreating to her bedroom without being seen, Saph slumped on her bed in the pile of clothes she'd left there. The shirt she was wearing smelt like alcohol after an hour of tidying herself up she looked decent and the bags under her eyes were only slightly visible. Racing down the stairs she went out and called her driver to take her to the cafe. Saph had a lot of 'friends' but no friends who knew her and loved her for who she was. That was more of her family's job. The friends she had used her for her money and for her alcohol access and parties. But honestly, as long as she had a drink in her hands and a boy to dance with, anyone could use her for whatever they wanted. And they did. No one cared that they were just using her, unless she said no, they were always going to be her ‘friends’. But if she said no, her connection would be cut. So it was a two way street a lot of the time.
Saphire smiled as she entered into the cafe. Aleia, a girl who worked at the cafe, smiled and waved to Saph. The two were friends from a distance but were always nice to each other as they both used each other mutually for parties. 'Flat white, extra cream, trim milk and a chocolate brownie please Al" Saph asked her as she walked past into a booth. She set down the bag she'd been carrying and pulled out a sketch book and a pencil. She turned to a new page, slowly beginning to sketch as she waited for her order. Aleia came over and placed it on the table for Saph and she smiled, taking the coffee. She sipped it as she went back to drawing, concentrating hard. She didn’t even notice her own brother sliding into the booth next to her. Her Outfit: Tada!

Nikola sighed as he dragged himself out of bed, he didn't even know where the time had gone. He had just been so busy with his duties as Crown prince, the extracurricular lessons his father was making him attend as the soon to be king, school work, preparing for college, and trying to figure out what went wrong with his and Sofia's relationship. He hadn't really had the time to stop and even attempt to relax. It was like one day he was just starting his last year at the Academy and the next he was sitting in his last class of the year. It made him think of what he had been neglecting because of his tightly packed schedule. he was forced to realize that in trying to be a good future king, he was ignoring his duties as an older brother. Surely Andrian could take care of himself, but it was Saphire he was worried about; she actually looked up to him. Not being able to bet there for at least her was hard on him.
He didn't spend too much time getting ready. A quick shower, brushing his teeth, throwing on some clothes, and he was out the door, heading to his car. Unlike a lot of the royals, Nikola didn't like being driven around. Ever since he had gotten his license and a car, he only accepted being driven around when he had to go to formal events such as the ball. Other than that, he liked the feeling of being able to go where he wanted, whenever he wanted, without anyone's permission. He felt more normal when he was driving on his own, like he wasn't the Heir Apparent to the Bulgarian throne, with all sorts of responsibilities and an image to keep up. When he was driving, he was just another teenage boy, going where he chose to without a worry in the world. Not to say that he didn't want to be a prince anymore. He loved his country and his people, he wanted to prove to them he could be a good king, one who could be looked up to and relied on.
He ended up going to a cafe, deciding a cup of coffee would be just what he needed to start the day. "Just a medium coffee, black," he ordered, swiping his credit card to pay for the order. He stepped away, turning to look for a place to sit. He spotted a familiar head of heir bent over her sketch book, deciding to sit with her. He slid into the booth with her silently, watching her as she concentrated on her drawing, not even noticing his existence. He simply smiled politely at the waitress who dropped off his coffee and eyed him carefully. Nikola just rolled his eyes, apparently no one could see the sibling resemblance between them. Not that he could really blame them. He tended to tower over his siblings greatly -- Nikola had inherited their fathers height. After a few moments of silence, he just poked her on the cheek to get her attention. "I understand that you tend to become overly concentrated on your artwork, Blue --" he said, smiling, using the nickname he gave her when they were children "-- but it's kind of hard to ignore your freakishly tall brother when he sits right next to you."

Reaching out, Saphire tried to grab her coffee. However, she couldnt reach and went right back to concerntrating on her drawing. This time the picture was a cottage like home, with a forest behind it and a beautiful garden out front. She was drawing the trees in the back ground when a finger poked her cheek, snapping her from her work, nearly causing her to scream. "I understand that you tend to become overly concentrated on your artwork, Blue --" Blue... Now she didnt even have to look up to see who it was. Her brother, Nikola, was the only one who called her that. "-- but it's kind of hard to ignore your freakishly tall brother when he sits right next to you." He said as she fainlly did look up to see that familiar face.
"Damn, Kola! Dont do that to me! you nearly gave me a heart attack!" She said, shaking her head and laughing slightly as she did. "Sorry, i was just thinking of this new picture and the flowers and so i kinda had to get it down. But with the pencil and the paper, it kept going so i didnt really stop" she said quikcly, like she did often. She was a fast talker, and it often seemed like she spat the words out as quick as she could, incase someone didnt listen or interrupted. thats how it was usually with her parents. She shook her head slightly and picked up the coffee, the heat inside warming her fingers and her mouth as she took a sip. Nikola was going to be king, so he was often busy with school work and other royal duties. It meant he didnt have time to be around much, leaving Saph with long periods of time without seeing him. She understood though, so it didnt upset her as much as it had once upon a time. So she smiled up to her brother, enjoying every moment she got with him because every moment she did, it meant there were another ten moments of waiting to see him again.
"So brother, how are you?" she asked him. Some people couldnt tell that the two were related. They didnt look that much alike and both of Saph's brothers towered over her. They got their fathers genes. And Saphire got her grandmothers blue eyes, where the rest of the family had brown. She was a bit of the odd one out. Saphire smiled up at her older brother as she pulled her sleeves futher down and held onto them with her coffee still in her hands. Her brother had, had a rough time lately. And Saphire was itching to talk to him, to try and help him but she was sure he didnt know that she knew about his relationship issues. She hid away in her piano room and played music all day, right?... Wrong. Saphire sometimes sat in the tiniest rooms, just listening to the maids clean and her parents talk. But she'd overheard a conversation that she didnt want to hear. One she knew would hurt her brother and it did. But... Saphire couldnt bring herself to hurt her brother even more with her knowledge. However, she had begun to feel guilty, so perhaps... This was the time to tell him?
