Things couldnt get any better. Riley went from an engagement to the french princess to engaged the most wonderful person anyone could have asked for. Ethan was just so perfect and... just perfect. Ethan was Riley's other half. they were made for each other from the second they met all those months ago in the foyer of the academy. Riley could remember that as if it was yesterday. It was the first day of the rest of his life. Once they met things changed quickly. they started dating secretly then he outed himself to his parents and broke it off with Dessy to make it official. They've had fights and they argue but what great couples dont!? Riley actually liked their little fights. They had a great time making up. They havent actually gotten into any fights since they were gifted with little Rose. Even with Rose not being biologically his, Riley cared a lot for that rosey cheeked little girl.

Riley couldnt be any happier. He skipped around the Austrian weekend house. The place seemed so empty without Ethan there. The house staff was never really around since Riley did most of the house chores just to keep himself busy. It got pretty boring around the house when Ethan wasnt there. Hey I'm bored. meet me at the mall? Riley texted Ethan. He wanted to see Ethan, even though its been like a whole day since they last saw each other. It felt like a life time and he was practically dying of boredom.

When Riley got a reply from Ethan he smiled knowing that Ethan couldnt resist a trip to the mall. Ethan would jump at the chance to pick out Riley's wardrobe because Riley really sucked at the whole clothes thing. He got dressed and grabbed his keys. his driver asked if he would want a ride or would be driving himself. Of course Riley said he would drive himself. He had just gotten a new motorcycle and he wanted to get some use out of it since when he's with Ethan they usually have Rose with them and a motorcycle is no place for a baby.

He hoped on his bike and put the helmet on it. Surely Ethan would complain about his helmet hair later. Riley started the motor and drove out of the opening in the gate. He zipped down the street passing cars faster than ever. he could hear the wind whistling past his ears. He was going so fast that he couldnt hold back his smile. it was like a roller coaster but not as strapped in.

Riley slowed a little when the mall was in sight. He smiled as he saw Ethan in front looking at his phone. Riley smiled while looking at Ethan getting completely lost in thought. He couldnt believe that Ethan was his. He wouldnt be able to bare it if anything happened to him or their relationship. Forgetting about watching the road, with his eyes trained on Ethan, Riley was slowing down and totally in the middle of the street not paying attention. The closer he got to Ethan the more he slowed down and suddenly he lost control of the bike. in a flash he felt the burn of road rash and blacked out.

Hey I'm bored. meet me at the mall?

Ethan felt the buzz on his chest. He opened his eyes to see the vaulted ceiling of his Victorian-themed bedroom. He reached up and grabbed the phone off his chest. he looked over at Rose's crib as it rocked slowly. It was an automated crib, basically it rocked itself so Ethan didn't have to be by the crib all the time. Ethan could feel the cool metal on his left hand as he opened his text from Riley. he looked at his hand and grinned, he loved this ring, it was a heirloom and it made him feel more like a Williams and less like a Washington. But it was also pretty darn big and flashy. It was pretty great to boast about. He grinned at Riley's text, Of course, I'm dying to see you anyway! <3 he texted back. He sat up and dressed himself in a more public-appropriate outfit. He was clothed, but boxers and an old Queen t-shirt were not proper to wear into public as the fiance of a crown prince. He told the nanny he was leaving and to take good care of Rose. He was very protective but when it came to Riley he tried to put Riley first. He'd hate for their relationship to be broken because of Rose taking up all Ethan's time. He really wished Jesse and his mother would just let Ethan move into the Williams weekend house. But Ethan's mother was protective and Jesse was even worse.

Ethan let his driver drive him to the mall, leaving Rose at home. He was dropped off and went to his phone to see what time it was. He got caught up texting a friend from school. He heard an engine and happened to look up. He saw Riley on his new motorcycle, a black Yamaha Sport Bike. Ethan told Riley that motorcycles are dangerous but it seems that boys will be boys. Ethan beamed, he loved Riley, although he could be a silly recluse sometimes, Ethan loved. Ethan loved him more than air, more like life itself. He wouldn't be whole if Riley wasn't there. He was so proud and happy to be with Riley, he was a great man, a great lover, and great fiance. he would make a great husband and a great father and a great king someday too.

Ethan's smile quickly faded as he watched Riley slow down and then... Ethan screamed as Riley got hit by another vehicle. Everything slowed for him, everything was so slow it hurt. He cried out again as he watched Riley's body hit the asphalt and go skidding across the street. He dropped his phone and bag and ran, he of course watched the cars in the parking lot. But he ran, faster than he's even run before. He screamed, screamed bloody murder. Lucky he got the the road in time to scare cars out of the way so they wouldn't hit Riley's body. The car that crashed into Riley stopped and the driver ran out. Ethan rushed out into the street, tears flowed down his face, he screamed Riley;s name, over and over again. " Riley!!!" Ethan sobbed as he slowed and stopped near Riley's unconscious body. " Oh god... oh... Riley..." his voice was weak, he fell to his knees next to Riley. He leaned over and turned his fiance over onto his back. He pulled Riley close and cradled him, he didn't care about the blood on his clothes or hands, he didn't care about anything but holding Riley. He sobbed, he screamed, he screamed over and over for an ambulance. " oh god Riley... please.. please don't leave me... please" A the sirens went off Ethan leaned down and kissed his future husbands forehead, his bloody hair and dirt-covered face didn't both Riley. " Please Riley, don't leave me here... don't leave me alone!"

Riley was fading in and out. he could feel the ground under him and he could slightly hear Ethan calling his name. Riley tried his hardest to respond, to tell Ethan that he was fine but for some reason Riley's body wasnt responding to him. he felt paralyzed by the pain and by the whole shock of the accident. He wasnt sure what exactly happened. he remember looking at Ethan and smiling happily then the next thing he was on the ground in so much pain, physical and emotional. Hearing Ethan scream out in his own emotional pain was harder to handle then the pain caused by the pain on the road. He felt the ground move underneath him but realized that it was just Ethan holding him. He could hear Ethan but nothing of what he was saying was really registering in his mind. It was like Ethan was speaking another language or something. The pain grew as Ethan held him. It was like a thousand knives all over him. eventually the pain over powered his ability to stay conscience.

Ethan?! Where are you?! Ethan!!! Riley could hear Ethan screaming his name. He tried to find Ethan but there was just darkness around him. Riley was getting scared. where was Ethan and why did he sound so upset?! He ran for what seemed like miles and miles of just darkness. He couldnt find Ethan but the screams continued. Riley's eyes started to fill with tears. he was desperate to stop Ethan's painful cries but couldnt. he felt so helpless and hopeless. Riley dropped to his knees. He could feel pain all over his body. not just sharp pains but also burning. He looked at his skin but nothing was there. he passed out again which was really him waking up .

Riley could still feel some pain. it was there but hardly. He could feel the needle in his arm and he could hear voices that sounded very far away. He felt like he could recognize one of the voices but couldnt be sure who. his mind felt all fuzzy and like a puzzle that has been torn apart and thrown all over the place. He felt so misplaced and disoriented. he didnt know what happened or where he was or how he even got here. he was starting to get a little scared. he remembered how afraid Ethan sounded. His heart felt like it breaks into a million pieces just thinking about his cries.

finally the voices he heard registered in his head. one voice he didnt recognize but the other was Ethan's. Riley sat up quickly and opened his eyes. the heart monitor beeping so fast indicating that his heart was racing. "Ethan!!!!" he screamed out for his fiance not paying any attention to the sharp pains of the needles pulling and his head spinning.

Ethan nearly refused to let go of Riley's body when the paramedics came, they out him on a stretcher and Ethan clung to Riley's hand like he'd die if he let go. He sobbed, he sobbed so much that his eyes were probably going to be red for weeks. The paramedics almost didn't let him stay with Riley on the ambulance ride, but when they saw that huge rock on his finger they let him stay. Ethan couldn't bear to lose Riley, he had to be here with Riley or Riley might die. He couldn't let that happen. Ethan gripped Riley's hand in a vise grip until they got to the hospital and two nurses had to literally fight Ethan away while Ethan screeched like dying harpies and then had a huge breakdown in the lobby. Ethan just couldn't do it, he needed Riley, he would probably give up on life if Riley wasn't here with him.

Luckily Riley was fine, he was beat up pretty bad, but he'd be out of the hospital in a week or so. He was alive and fine, the nurses let Ethan sit in Riley's room for the 12 hours that Riley was under. Ethan didn't sleep, he didn't eat very well, just small snacks here and there. Riley's parents called Ethan's phone multiple times. it was mostly Riley's mother, but once or twice it was Riley's father, making sure that Ethan was eating and wanting to know updates of Riley's condition. Ethan didn't sleep for fear of waking up and Riley would be gone and he cried a lot. The doctor came in to speak to Ethan and he stood up and walked to the doorway to speak to him. That's when Riley was having his nightmare and then the heart monitor raced and Ethan turned his head. Next thing he knew Riley screamed his name. Ethan had never crossed that distance faster in his life.

In seconds he was by Riley's side, he held Riley's shoulders. " Riley!, No... hey... hey, relax... it was just a nightmare, I'm right here... come on, lay back down sweetheart... please..." Ethan pushed Riley back down gently and felt the tears swell up and pour down his cheeks again. " Oh Riley... oh God... I was so worried, I was so... I-I...'" Ethan stopped talking and sniffled and cried while his hands still held Riley's hospital robe. Ethan looked like shit, he hadn't shower in 12 hours, and he was paler than usual, his eyes were red from continuously crying, his skin was dry, his hair was a complete mess and he was wearing the same clothes from yesterday. He couldn't leave Riley's bedside and he couldn't sleep, he couldn't risk Riley waking up and Ethan not being here for him.

Riley was breathing heavily and in a panic. He barely felt Ethans touch but it was enough to calm him a little. He tried to relax but he was still confused and desperate to stop the pain. He allowed Ethan to push him back down. He felt like crying but he had no idea why and the tears just werent coming out. He looked around the hospital room. It was a pale room with some window that Riley couldnt fully see. The lights seemed so bright that he had to squint as he looked around. He still felt Ethan holding his gown. He looked at Ethan and noticed that he was crying.

Riley sat up a little. "What's wrong?! what happened?! Are you okay?" he was worried more about Ethan than himself. He couldnt remember anything except his nightmare. all he knew was that Ethan was upset. He had to stop Ethan's crying. Riley hated when Ethan was sad. He hated even thinking about Ethan crying. Riley remembered the screams in his nightmare and his heart broke again. It was too much to bare. Riley fell back to the bed completely exhausted by his little outburst.

He shook his head and finally was able to focus. He looked at the bandages on his arms and looked at the needles in his arm. he still couldnt remember what happened but he figured it must have been bad. His head was still beating hard like it was being hit with a million hammers at once. He wondered for a second if his bike was okay but figured it wouldnt be the time to ask. not with Ethan as upset and crying like he was. Riley pulled Ethan on to the little twin sized hospital bed with him. He held him tight. How could he be so reckless?! Riley felt guilty for causing the accident along with causing Ethan so much pain and stress. He nuzzled his head next to Ethan's and kissed his cheek. He almost died and he was so glad that he didnt. "I love you so much." he said through silent tears and pain all over.

Ethan didn't want to cry, he needed to be strong for Riley. Riley was the one who nearly died. But it hurt Ethan so badly, he couldn't even imagine a world without Riley in it. Ethan sobbed just thinking about Riley dying and leaving him here all alone with Rose and Riley's parents... He thought of Riley's mother. She cried twice in one phone call just from Ethan crying about this. How would she fair if Riley had died? They'd both be complete wrecks. Ethan just couldn't stop himself, he was just an emotional guy, things got to him. Ethan could be strong and brave and cunning, but that was only when he was really angry. Most of the time Ethan was just as emotional as a girl watching the Titanic. And thinking about losing the one person he loves most in this world... it send him down a spiral of complete depression.

Ethan was weaker than normal, which was considerably since Ethan wasn't strong when he was emotionally stable either. So when Riley pulled him into the bed all Ethan could do was cry and mumble words at him. " Riley! You're going to hurt yourself more!" was the only phrase that Ethan could make sound like real words instead of uncontrollable sobs. But once Ethan was on the bed next to Riley Ethan just curled up next to him and let all his emotions out. He was careful not to hurt Riley or be too close to hug him, he didn't want to ever make Riley hurt. When Riley kissed his cheek he choked a little on his tears. " I love you too..." Ethan leaned his face up, kissed Riley softly on the lips and then sniffled, trying to get the tears to go away. " When I saw... I saw that car hit you... I.. I thought you were dead... Oh Riley! Don't ever do that again!!" and then Ethan was back to crying into Riley's chest. So much for trying to stop crying...
