Welcome
The Year was 2012, it was a normal December night, but suddenly there was a huge light that was seen around the world. Everything fell apart quickly after society fell. It was three years before the Committee for Better Living was formed. This Committee set up a system of monarchies, an illusion of control for the people. It is now 2054, and the next generation of royals are in high school. Welcome to High School, Your Majesty! Enjoy your stay!

Kasper paced across the entryway from the kitchen to the dining room. He was at Glassview Hotel, famous for it's elegance, because many royals used these rooms, and many noble families as well. The restaurant for the hotel was a large ballroom with many tables, bu tonight it had been booked, completely. It was a reservation for the whole restaurant, not just one table. There was one single two-seat table near the fountain in the restaurant. The rest of the room was covered with things. A red carpet walkway leading to the table, a symphony on one side complete with a director, violins, cellos, brass horns, percussion, a harp, all the works. Swinging from the great vaulting ceiling were three acrobats on swings, tossing from one swing to the other and then tossing other acrobats. Kasper was walking back and forth between the same space behind the doors that lead to the kitchen, he was nervous but he had this planned out for awhile. His chance to legitimately propose to Sophie was taken from him and he decided he was gonna take it back, and he was going to go way overboard with it. Way overboard. Kasper had texted Sophie about an hour ago to put on her very best dress and meet him in the ballroom restaurant at Glassview Hotel. The host was waiting at the double doors to the restaurant so that he could lead Sophie to the table. One of the cooks saw the limo pull up front outside and warned Kasper. Kasper was already wearing his engagement ring, but Sophie's ring had been intentionally held from her by her father because Kasper asked to be the one to get her a real one himself. It was Tiffany, of course, and Kasper picked it out himself. He rather liked it, it was flashy and amazing and something Sophie could show off. And it was a neon sign to anyone and everyone that Sophie was his and his alone.

Kasper walked out into the dining room, Sophie hadn't gotten to the restaurant yet, so Kasper stood by the table. Sure they had been through a lot recently, but Kasper was ignoring it. He had already planned for this and everything was in order and he was going through with it no matter what. he had to do this and he was going to do this because not matter what, he was Persian, and they don't stop anything just cause they are sad. Plus, Kasper needed to make Sophie happy and he's been doing a terrible job of that recently. When Sophie walked in the orchestra began to play and the host lead her down the carpet isle to Kasper at the table, who was grinning like a 5 year old cause Sophie was just so beautiful...

Sitting in the limo nervously, Sophie bit her lip as she fiddled with her fingers and hair. She didn't know what had gotten into Kasper lately; first he was depressed and practically ignoring her, next he is telling her to meet in a fanciest hotel of all Glassview in her best dress. So, she decided she was going to wear her red dress; she refused to wear white until it was her wedding day, and it was her color. Kasper told her that he would meet her at the hotel, and Sophie was nervous and excited to see him again. She glanced at her finger, which felt naked even though Kasper wore his ring. Her father still needed to send over hers which made her nervous considering her father was always late. The anticipation was killing her, and she couldn't help but feel nervous about how secretive Kasper was being. What was going on in that man's head? She missed him though, and wasn't going to complain. Kasper was being so distant from her, and Sophie desperately missed human contact; she was a physical being. With Kasper's feeling of a lack of masculinity, he didn't want to do anything and she missed being held by him dearly. Sophie didn't want anyone else, she wanted him and him alone. She could have any other man in the world, but that didn't matter because Kasper was there. And they were getting married. Sophie still loved being able to call Kasper her finace, not her boyfriend. There was something special about being called that.

The limo pulled up to the hotel, and Sophie hastily got out of the car, holding her dress as a princess would. Also, it was long and Sophie couldn't properly walk in it without picking it up slightly. Now she finally understood why Cinderella and all the other princesses did this girly pose. Right as she walked in the door, music began playing, a beautiful soft melody, and she was lead in by a host. Sophie looked about in awe, before her eyes directly caught Kasper, who was smiling back at her. Sophie's grin was ear to ear as she walked up to Kasper, letting him gently kiss her hand. She was speechless, and couldn't stop smiling.

Kasper stood at the table, when the music played he felt his smile grow. Then he saw the host lead Sophie across the restaurant and down to the table. He'd been gone all day to make sure this all went off without a hitch, although he really wasn't acting like himself lately anyway. He'd go to sleep way after Sophie had fallen asleep, he couldn't cuddle her unless he was actually asleep. Then he'd get up way before Sophie did and he'd go out somewhere, it didn't matter. Sometimes he'd run around Glassview for awhile, sometimes he'd just make breakfast and sit on the couch and watch TV. Sometimes he'd go back to the Naveed house and stay with his brothers, sometimes overnight and sometimes not. He'd been so unpredictable lately. But he did take his medication, just like he was supposed to. he felt a little better now that the time had began to heal his wounds. Though his doctor always warned him to be very careful about using protection, especially if him and Sophie did not want children yet. Apparently the medication was so effective that it would bring Kasper up to whatever sperm count he was supposed to be at and that was apparently ridiculously high. Kasper guessed that it wasn't just the Washington's who had good reproducing genes. But the doctor also said that once he began taking the medication regularly, he should be fine to do whatever he pleased. That made Kasper feel a bit better, which is why he got all this stuff organized and still went through with it. He was feeling better, not 100% but maybe like...90% better. Things were looking up, which was good cause Kasper felt like the wedding was right around the corner. Even though they had time before it happened, things were just starting to get overly stressful.

Kasper sighed happily and took Sophie's hand, kissing it softly and smiling. " I hope you like it love, I wanted to have dinner well... in style..." Kasper chuckled, " Things have been, yah know... rough lately and I guess... no, I should make it up to you. " Kasper then walked Sophie over to one side of the table and pulled out her chair, then pushed it in once she was sitting. He walked over to his own chair and sat down. Then he reached over and held Sophie's hand from across the table. He then looked surprised, " Oh! that's right! Food!" he waved his hand in the air and a few minutes later, food showed up in two silver platters. The food was set down on the table and Kasper let go of Sophie's hand so they could eat. " Everything's gonna be better Sophie... I promise that..." he said and looked at her with a smiled before cutting off a bite of steak and eating it happily.

Sophie let out a soft sigh as she walked up to him, her heart pounding and heavy; she hadn't been spending too much time with Kasper and she missed him dearly. Just seeing Kasper made her want to run up to him as fast as she could and wrap her arms around him. She missed him so much, it ached. Kasper was always out and around, or he didn't want to talk. In fact, recently they rarely said anything to each other. Kasper was doing better, but he didn't seem to want to talk to her very much and when they did he was always sad. Not to mention whenever he stayed over at his brother's house, she felt like he was avoiding her. Kasper hated his brothers, and she assumed the only reason he was there was to get away from her. Of course, she would merely assume she was being paranoid and would leave it at that. Sophie knew that they were going to get married, and that she shouldn't stress the little things in fear of turning into a bridezilla. Sophie had so many people helping her plan the wedding, and it was a multi-million dollar wedding. Still, Sophie couldn't help but be a little stressed, considering she was a bride to be. Kasper didn't want to plan the wedding at all, so it was Sophie and her crew of workers to create the perfect wedding. One of the weddings was going to be aired on national television, with the parade all royal brides and grooms have in her country of Australia. And she was sure that her country would absolutely love Kasper.

When Kasper kissed her hand, Sophie continued to smile. He pulled out her chair and Sophie sat gracefully as her nanny taught her. All her manners were taught to her a child, she was a princess after all. Sophie couldn't help but know the basic manners as though they were first nature. Sophie let Kasper hold her hand from across the table, and she let out a small giggle when he forgot entirely about the food. She watched him wave his hand and the food was immediately served to them. He was smiling, and so lively; she missed that smile so much, her heart ached as she looked at him. She noticed that he even remembered her favorite meat, lamb. Strawberries were neatly piled into a bowl, and she couldn't help but grin. Seemed that Kasper noticed more than she thought. He even had her favorite white wine, which was poured into clear wine glasses. She watched him chew his steak with a smile, and once he finished chewing, Sophie leaned across the table, giving him a soft kiss on the lisp. "Did you plan this entire thing yourself?" She asked with a crooked smile.

Kasper heard the plate being set lightly on the table by the waiter. He wasn't okay. Alright well, he was happy right now but in the back of his mind there was still a looming shadow. The shadow reminded him that no matter what he did he was still insignificant and useless. It was still there. It sounded a lot like his dad. His dad said things like that, always telling him how much better he could be, how he should be more like his brothers. The only reason his father was even pleasant around him was because his father was pleased that he was marrying into a throne. Kasper wanted to marry into a throne but he also loved Sophie. He loved her more than anything else, more than steak and drinking and parties and horseback riding over the sand dunes. More than anything. he sort of hated that he cared so much, hated that he was weak to her. Kasper picked up his silverware and began to chow down into his steak. It was cooked exactly how he liked it. His mashed potatoes were smooth and creamy and perfect as well. The sauce on his steak wasn't too watery and wasn't to thick, everything was savory and he loved it. His wine was the same as Sophie's though it wasn't planned to his meal because alcohol was alcohol to Kasper. He didn't care if the wine complimented his meal as long as it was a good bottle of wine.

Kasper finished his bite of steak and looked at Sophie, he smiled. He patted his mouth with his napkin and then set it back down in his lap. " Of course... It was important, and I know things have been a bit... rough lately and I just wanted to make it up to you." Kasper sighed, " Though i planned this waaaay before the stuff recently." He pulled back from the table and stood, setting his napkin down on the table near his plate. He couldn't wait till the end of their meal to do this, it was making him kind of nervous. he walked behind Sophie and moved her chair out to the side some and then kissed her forehead. Kasper smiled, " See, I wanted to do this myself... but royals rarely ever get their way when it comes to this..." Kasper grinned and got down on one knee. " This came in the mail from your father today and I thought it only proper to give it to you the right way... my way" Kasper then pulled out a black box and opened it for Sophie, flashing off a brilliant diamond ring. Surely only a ring that would fit on a princess's finger, only on the finger of a very loved princess.

The smile on Sophie's face could only be described in one way. Glowing. Without even realizing it, Sophie lit up whenever she was with him; she didn't notice it but everyone else around her did and were usually a combination between relieved and surprised. She was unsure about their marriage, but entered it confidently. Sophie knew that she would only ever be happy with one person, and that person was staring back at her with his beautiful hazel eyes. Sophie ate her food, occasionally looking up at Kasper and smiling, watching him eating his food as a man would. Sophie sipped her wine, drinking a good portion of it. One of the many things that Kasper had taught her was how to drink, which she found completely amusing. He could drink much more than she could, and could hold his liquor ten times better, but she still enjoyed drinking a little bit more thanks to him. She loved it more when she could taste it fresh on Kasper's tongue, which made him taste bitter and sweet. She probably looked like an idiot the way she was smiling, but she didn't care. Sophie watched Kasper as he talked. She grew to fall in love with the way he talked, the way he worded things, the sound of his voice... Sophie grew extremely fond of it. It started becoming a necessity, the day didn't start until she heard it.

She could hardly contain her grin as he spoke, walked over to her and got down on one knee. Sophie had seen him a million times, but he still managed to make her heart pound uncontrollably when she was around him. She had the butterflies in her stomach, and felt almost childish that Kasper could revert her to this giddy schoolgirl. He opened the box, revealing the ring that was passed down from generation to generation, but still looked timeless and stunning in a little black box. Sophie stood up for a brief moment, only to slide down to her knees, hugging Kasper as tightly as she could, giving him a longing kiss. Tears starting rolling down her cheeks, and she couldn't help but feebly laugh, giving Kasper another kiss. "I love you," Sophie said, hugging him tightly, her hands tangled in his soft curls," So much. I love you so much." She said, breaking the hug and smiling at Kasper, wiping her eyes and shakily taking the box from his hands, pulling out the sparking ring and putting it on the proper finger. It fit perfectly, and seeing it made her realize how official they were, they were getting married. Sophie looked at the ring in amazement, then turned her attention to Kasper," We are getting married... Married!" Sophie said happily, almost like for the first time she truly realized what she was getting into.
