Welcome
The Year was 2012, it was a normal December night, but suddenly there was a huge light that was seen around the world. Everything fell apart quickly after society fell. It was three years before the Committee for Better Living was formed. This Committee set up a system of monarchies, an illusion of control for the people. It is now 2054, and the next generation of royals are in high school. Welcome to High School, Your Majesty! Enjoy your stay!

Vicente Halls loved his job sometimes. He hadn't known when he took his job at 15 that he would be here today, shutting down a whole city, just because he could. Being the head of the Committee of Better Living had its perks. Vicente didn't really care about what a couple adolescent royals did on their free time, but he did care about the thrones that this 'kids' thought they had a right to. They needed to know that even though they were royal, they were ruled by the Committee as much as anyone else. Vicente sat in the leather chair at the head of the table, this meeting room was perfect for his needs. A plush scarlet carpet, the comfiest leather chairs ever made, and servants ready to cater to his every need. Vicente was untouchable.
Vicente smiled as he took another sip of his cappuccino. He was the only one who could change the succession, everything had to be approved, and every once in awhile he would let some poor royal give up their throne for whatever reason. It didn't happen often, but it happened. Vicente looked down at the next royal he was considering dethroning... Alan Yvan. This prince was more trouble than he was worth. Not only was he in love with another heir to the throne, a Korean no less... He was also on the forefront of the Committee's minds since the incident with King Yvan. Vicente ran a hand across his face, this would not be a tough decision if the prince had not already produced an heir with his fiancee, that Italian Princess. He would have to pay her a visit... Erik Yvan. That was the newest royals name was.... So many pregnant royals, and most weren't married. One was, The Future Queen of England... but there was supposedly something going on there...
Then there was that other American Princess, rumor was she was knocked up to. Though Vicente didn't really care about that, the Americans and the Koreans would make a good match. Vicente pushed the papers away. He didn't want to look at another arrogant royal for at least a few hours. Vicente then looked at his watch and grinned. His partners should be there any minute.
Vicente had insisted that Rosewood and Ravenwood come with him. He wanted them on this case for their perspective. Rosewood for her commoner and mother side, and Ravenwood... well mostly for her age. Vicente didn't have a lot of knowledge of the two of them, which was why the Committee as a whole had been shocked when he had chosen them, especially Sarah Ravenwood, who was one of the newest members.
Vic had chosen them for one reason, they weren't predictable. He couldn't know what they were going to say next. That was part of the fun, and he couldn't wait to start punishing spoiled royals with them by his side. Vic looked up with a smile when the first of his partners walked in. He stood in greeting. He liked working with others, even though he always had the final say.

Sarah Ravenwood sipped her latte as she was driven to the Investigations building for Committee members. She was shocked when she learned that she was picked to be part of the team that would be ringing the young royals in Glassview back into control. She had been on the Committee for only a couple of years when, and now she was given this responsibility. It was a great privilege in her eyes. So when she arrived the news, she packed her bags quickly and chartered for her flight to Glassview from France. Sarah figured that she had been chosen to be there for balance because while she understood that these were the future leaders of nations, they were also teenagers and figuring things out for themselves. She sighed to herself.
On the flight, she began looking over the files of all the royals, sorted by country. The Americans seemed normal on the surface, but under was where you could see the drama. She saw some possible problems with the Armenians. The Australian heir renounced his status as Heir Apparent. The Bulgarian prince first in line seemed to have fallen in love with a commoner. If the Cubans were anything, it seemed to be drama -- she still had to look into the situation concerning the partner of the eldest of them. The Egyptians are still having the same child legitimacy issue as they had before, among other things. The Italian princess seemed to have gotten herself in a bit of a twister concerning her fiancee and her child. Two of the three Koreans showed to be potentially troublesome. The fiance of the Scottish heir, a Swedish princess, had fallen in love with a commoner. The Committee had issues with the Swiss since the incident with King Yvan and their heir apparent. There was a lot of cleaning up to be done in Glasview before the Committee deemed things there in order enough for them to leave.
The car had been waiting outside the airport when she arrived. Upon first glance, the city of Gkassview seemed normal enough, but then she remembered all the recent reports files that she read while on the flight and thought differently. It was a strange sensation, knowing that she was one of three people to have control over an entire city and its royal inhabitants. The Committee and herself cared little for what the commoners unless they were got themselves mixed up in the mess of a royal.
Sarah finally arrived at the Committee building and was escorted into the building by a couple of guards. She figured that the royals couldn't be too happy about the Committee stepping into their lives so abruptly, hence the reason for the extra security. She was shone to the meeting office where she would finally become acquainted with Head of the Committee Vicente Halls and her other colleague Maylene Rosewood. The servant announced her arrival and went through the procedure of introducing them to each other. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Sir Halls," she said in greeting.

Vic should have known the Sarah would have been there right on time. He smiled at her greeting. "Please, Sarah, call me Vic. There is no need for such formality since we are going to be working with each other. Please sit." He told her. He started to debrief her on their first assignment, with Maylene Rosewood walked in all apologys. He shook his head. "Maylene. Welcome. Like I told Sarah, call me Vic. Won't you please join us?" He gestured to the chair. Once she was seated he brought his hands together on the table. "So, if you both haven't noticed we have a major problem here in Glassview. The senior members of the Committee and I had hoped that these problems would work themselves out like they had last generation, but we are being forced to give these royals the push they need. Unfortunately, I have a feeling that most of these royals are going to be against our involvement." Vic sighed and looked down at his folders. "I think our first order of business should be to decide what our battle plan will be, and then find the royals who are without a doubt going to be investigated. Then, we should find the ones that we aren't to sure about and visit them, to see if a formal investigation is needed." Vic brought out a paper with his notes on it, and stared at it for a moment. "The Senior Members and I decided that we wanted to focus on the Royal Commoner relationships, we must see which ones are outright defying us. I could careless who a royal dates, as long as they are not engaged. Commoners are not really a problem as long as they know their proper place. I will not tolerate Commoners trying to steal a throne. The second order of business is the Royal activities. Do either of you have any other concerns?" He asked putting down his notes. He already had a few royals that were an automatic investigation waiting to happen. That's what happened when you broke this worlds rules.
Vic wished that he could leave the royals to have a childhood, but with the last outbreak of WWIII the whole committee was worried about the thrones. These teenagers were affecting Vic's world. The world his grandfather had built and had handed down to Vic. And with the help of Maylene and Sarah he would set it right again.

Sarah nodded and made a mental note to refer him as Vic from now on as they worked together. The meeting room -- the building over all -- was nicer than she expected. She should've known better, considering that its construction and furnishing was probably funded by royal families wanting to stay on the Committee's good side. She sat in one of the chairs and pulled out her laptop, having the digital copies of the files saved onto it for convenience. She nodded in agreement that investigating the Royal-Commoner relationships would be the best to start with. Mainly because she didn't want another Yvan family case to appear on the table. That would be horrible. They still had to come to an official agreement on the dethroning of the current King Yvan.
The case files for the Swedish princess Emilia caught her eye, as did the file for a noble, Abraham Petrus. The first being a case of abuse and the princess asking for the engagement to be called off, as well as her falling in love with a commoner. The second being a case of kidnap and rape, being rescued after a month by his boyfriend's sister, Princess Esmeralda Beckett. These were of particular interest to her because of two reasons: she had been assigned to look into them before she was chosen to come to Glassview, and she was not okay with abduction, rape, or abuse. "Other than the obvious concerns of the teenage pregnancies, and their obvious love for the hitting the bar, I'd like to have the cases for Emilia Backstrom and Abraham Petrus looked into," she said pulling paper copies out of both out of her briefcase and placing them on the table. "It seems that the princess would like to be let out of her engagement to her fiance on a charge of domestic violence. And as for Abraham Petrus, he was recently rescued by the Cuban princess Esmeralda Beckett, the younger sister of his partner Prince Mason Beckett. He had been abducted and raped for a month. The police tried looking into hotel records to see who had rented the room for a month, but it was payed all in cash under a John Doe. These were cases already on my desk before I came here."
Sarah wanted nothing more than order and justice to be brought back to Glassview. And she was glad to be part of the force that would make sure that happened.
