Isis was not having a fabulous day; in fact, she wasn't having the best year. Things just didn't seem to want to go her way as far as romance goes, and Isis was on the verge of giving up. First her fling with Felix, then Drake. She thought he was going to stick around, but he didn't. She hadn't heard of him or seen him in so long, so she figured they were over and she was going to move on. Isis wasn't going to stick around for someone who wasn't crazy about her anymore. She wasn't going to settle for okay when she could have great. Isis was going to be the graceful, young adult that she was bound to be. She didn't want to be the baby girl anymore, she wanted to be a woman. Everyone around her treated her as though she needed to be taken care of twenty four seven, but she didn't. Isis could handle herself. She didn't need anyone to take care of her. No boyfriend, friend, or even her brother. Isis was going to be strong and finally stand up for herself. Sure in the past, she didn't always have astounding luck with things but that could change. She was finally dressing the way she wanted to, not the way her brother thought that she should. Innocent. But she was comfortable showing skin, she had done it before and now was no different. Isis was a new woman, with the confidence to match. Part of that meant that she wasn't going to rely on her friends anymore for her to feel good about herself. It wasn't like she had a best friend to lean on or anything.

So why the cafe? Isis had nothing to do in the daytime really, only at night. During the night time, she would go out partying and clubbing, and the day time was spent for either recovering from a crazy night or just hanging out. Isis didn't usually enjoy being surrounded by people unless it was the people on the dance floor. Sure, it was exhausting going out all the time, but Isis didn't mind. She was currently trying new things, which meant getting out of her comfort zone and doing things she would normally never do. Normally, she wouldn't be caught dead in a club after Felix, but things had changed. She wasn't letting guys use her anymore, she refused to. Too many times she trusted people not worth trusting, a mistake she was not going to make again. She had been drinking coffee and reading a magazine, having a relaxing day out without her loud friends around. As much as she loved them, they gave her a headache sometimes. They just didn't know how to speak in a proper talking manner. Isis was more classed than that, and she was quieter too. She didn't particularly enjoy talking all the time, she was better at just being pretty and quiet. The grace part she was still working on. If Isis said she was a little clumsy, that would be a huge understatement. She was the most uncoordinated one of her friends. She walked into people and walls all the time, and could trip on absolutely nothing or her own feet. Isis tried to be graceful, but it certainly didn't come naturally to her. Today, she had a plan. She was going to go shopping for a new dress and some sexy, new lingerie.

Standing up from the table, Isis pulled down her skirt a little before she began walking towards the door. The cafe was crowded, and she attempted to weave through the crowd, but it was hard to considering everyone was so clumped together. Isis could feel her foot catch on someone else's foot, tripping her. Grabbing onto the man's jacket, Isis and the poor soul she caught onto turned slightly as they both fell to the floor. Isis's back hit the hard floor, her head hitting the ground slightly. Her head was pounding. The man landed on his knees, holding himself up with his hands. Isis covered her eyes with her hands, letting out a pained moan. " Are you okay?!" A woman asked, obviously concerned by their tumble to the floor. " Yes, I'm okay, just clumsy," Isis groaned, before opening her eyes to see the person above her. He was handsome, and Isis immediately blushed as she looked up at the man on top of her," I am so sorry," Isis said frantically, getting up from the floor," I tripped on your foot, I didn't mean to grab you, I-" She said, before staggering slightly, holding onto behind her. She looked up at the man, her cheeks still hot from blushing," I'm so sorry, um- I'm Isis," She said, embarrassed. Of course the first attractive guy she sees, she makes him fall. Literally. Not even the good way. Isis put a mental note in her mind not to return to this cafe until they had forgotten about this all.

Matt slumped in his bed trying to ignore the sound of servants cleaning. He didn't like waking up to that. He always planned on telling them not to clean near his room until he was awake. he kept forgetting and really if they didnt wake him up he probably would sleep all day. Summer was usually his least favorite time. Usually thats when all his friends what to go and party to no end. He didnt like that. Not because he couldnt have fun but because they always made him the designated driver. He was always the one that took everyone else. He didnt want to do that anymore. He liked doing it for his siblings but he didnt want to treat his friends like a chore. His friends were suppose to be the ones that he could go to to get away from that. In true, it was his fault. He was just too nice and was willing to be the responsible one. That's what a king would do. He was a good king... well at least one day he will be. one day soon. only one year left before he graduates then he can truly be king.

When Matty finally decided to get up he just sat on his bed fiddling with his phone. He had no plans for the day. all his friends were probably sleeping off hangovers or sneaking out of the house of the person they had a one night stand with. He shook his head at the drunk texts sent to him from his friends. He really wondered how most of them could have gotten this far in life. even sober they werent all that smart. He tossed his phone safely on his bed and got dressed. The only thing he could think of to do was to go to the cafe. Why not? the maids were cleaning he couldnt ask them to stop to make him food. Well he could but he'd rather not. The cafe was fine. it gave him an excuse to leave the house.

He slipped on a pair of random shoes as he walked out of his room. He knocked on Max's door and asked is he wanted anything. when Max said he didnt want anything Matt continued walking down the stairs. he would have asked his sister but didnt bother because she was probably still asleep and she was not a morning person. He headed towards the cafe not bothering with the car. It was summer he needed the exercise of walking anyway.

by the time he got to the cafe it was packed. Matt wasnt really a crowd person. He stood in the long line and waited. He leaned on one side as he pulled out his phone to help pass the time. Suddenly he felt a small kick on his foot and a force pulling him down. Everything happened so fast before he had time to process what was happening. Next thing he knew he was on his hands and knees on top of some little girl. She kept apologizing. As the both stood up Matty smiled with his boyish charm. "Well Hello Isis. And really its fine. I shouldnt have had my foot out for you to trip on." he said with a light chuckle. "Are you alright? do you need ice? I think I heard your head hit the ground. It must hurt a little." He had to stop himself from treating this girl like he would Gisele. He smiled as he lead her to a nearby chair. even if he tried not to be so big brotherly or like he had to care for everyone, he couldnt. it was a hard habit to break.

Isis couldn't keep herself from blushing, she was so embarrassed! The first really, really attractive guy she sees for the first time in a while and she yanked him to the ground. She could literally say that they first met when she pulled him on top of her, which sounded perverted though the situation was quite innocent. Still! Isis felt stupidly clumsy, the back of her head was throbbing from the blow. She was use to falling, but she usually didn't hit her head, so this was considerably different. A throbbing headache while trying to talk to an extremely hot guy? Not a great combination, plus he probably already thought that she was a drunk party girl from the way she fell to the floor. Which she wasn't. Clumsy maybe, but she was just breaking into the party scene. Plus, Isis was a lot less clumsy when she drank for some odd reason. Alcohol made her a lot more graceful, which was something she was normally not. Lucky her. Isis figured that it was probably because her coordination couldn't have gotten any worse, the only direction it could go at that point was up. The lucky side of it was that nobody expected her to be graceful except for family. Her father hated her and Luke anyways, so it really didn't matter. Isis had fallen to the floor before by the hand of her father, she could handle pain very well. Pain was her childhood, and Luke's as well.

Luke worried about her all the time, he taught her how to walk like a lady, but couldn't get the clumsiness to go away. Isis learned how to walk like a princess, but she naturally fell like a model on the runway, hard. The plus side was that she was only about 5'2 and that unlike runway models, she didn't have a far way down to the ground. She was stronger than she looked though, Luke also taught her self defense along with many other things. Since she was a kid, Luke prepared her to face the world as a strong, confident woman. Isis almost felt like she was letting him down, and wanted to redeem herself. She tried and tried to be more graceful for him, but failed. Luke accepted that it was just how Isis was, but she still didn't feel good about it. He had taken care of her all her childhood, she wanted him to be proud of her. Still, the reality was that she was just too clumsy. A lady wore heels, but Isis couldn't. Which is why today she sported flats, because anything higher off the ground would doom her to falling.

The man's voice was so gentle, it reminded her of Luke's voice. They both had that loving voice. In fact, Isis immediately thought of Luke when he asked whether she was okay. When her father would strike her, that was the first thing Luke would ask when he got her away from him. He had such a kind face, Isis couldn't help but stare at him. His large blue eyes, blonde hair, his pale skin. Wow. Isis looked so different compared to him, she couldn't help but notice. Her skin was tan, her eyes and hair dark. But he looked like what Isis would imagine a greek god to look like. And he was talking to her? That was a combination that didn't happen often. Isis wasn't super pretty, guys like him tended to never notice her. He probably wouldn't have if she didn't pull him to the floor by accident. Isis was surprised with how nice he was, asking whether she was okay? Whether she needed ice? This guy was really something. Letting him lead her to a nearby chair, Isis watched him in awe. Sitting down, she looked up at him, shaking her head. Isis giggled, shaking her head slightly before rubbing her forehead a little. " No, no, you don't need to take care of me, I'm fine," She told him, " I'm ashamed to admit that this is one of the many times I've tripped on someone."

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Isis looked down out of embarrassment before looking up at him again. She couldn't help but smile at how stupid she was feeling. " Though I have to say, this is the nicest a guy has been to me after I accidentally dragged him to the ground," She added, laughing a little. Isis hadn't actually done that before, but usually people were not so kind when she tripped on them or bumped into them. There was a lot of grumpy people in the world, and Isis was lucky when the person she ran into was nice and didn't either snap at her or give her dirty looks. Isis wasn't good with people. In fact, she was horrible with people. She was so use to being shielded from everyone thanks to Luke, she never really learned how to work well around others. She was shy around people she didn't know, but she working on not doing that. Isis would say that she was doing an amazing job at not being horribly shy. Luke wouldn't be happy if he knew she had trouble with people, so Isis made plenty of friends. Not any close friends, but enough people to party with a different crowd every night. Everything with them was new and exciting, people were so interesting. And something she missed out at in her childhood. Maybe that was why she enjoyed being outside so much, but who knew? Her father wasn't here in Glassview to lock her inside her room, he was back home in Egypt.

Matty was always the adult, the caretaker, the leader. when him and his siblings would play and Gisele would fall and scrape her knee, Matty was there to sit her down, tell her its going to be okay, then put a band-aid over it. He didnt feel like he had to do it but he just wanted to. He liked acting like a parent or a nurse. he took care of Gisele and Max practically he whole life. Not just them but also their friends. Sure Max and Matt were fraternal twins and had the same friends growing up but he still took care of them as if he was the older than them. It was only natural that he took care of Isis the same way. It was more out of habit than what he actually wanted to do. Well it was what he wanted to do but still. It was a habit that he had no intentions of breaking. Plus he couldnt think of any reason not to talk to Isis. She might seem a little young but she was cute and really nice. He was practically drawn to her.

A waitress had brought her ice even though Isis said she was fine. Matt held the cold bag in his hands. He examined her head gently. It was slightly red but there wasnt a bump. he instinctively tucked her hair behind her ear and held the ice to her head whether she wanted it or not. There might not have been bump yet but the ice will help prevent one from forming. He's done it plenty of times for Gisele but with Isis it felt different. It felt less like a parent and more like a boyfriend. He couldnt help but look her in the eyes as she blushed and talked. She was so beautiful. Her eyes seemed to shine even though they were pretty dark. Her skin flawless and so smooth. Her hair was just as dark as her eyes but soft and bouncy. He sighed trying not to stare at her.

"I guess you were lucky that you pulled down the nicest guy in glassview." he said with a flirty smirk. it was a bold claim. he didnt honestly think that he was the nicest guy in glassview. He was nice but not the nicest. He couldnt even imagine anyone being mean to someone as adorable and petite as Isis. The ice had his hand frozen that he took it off of her and set it on the table. He looked around the cafe, still pretty full. a lot of the people in line were watching them but he didnt care about that. "Here, let me buy you a coffee." she might have already had coffee but he didnt care. he wanted to spend more time with her. plus a coffee date was usually what he did as a first date anyway.

Isis could not have felt more idiotic than she already felt as she watched the waitress hand the man the ice pack. She didn't need an ice pack, though they probably had the right idea by giving her one. She almost reached for it, before the blonde man who sat in front of her grabbed it. What an odd man, she couldn't help but think to herself. What an odd, beautiful, kind man. Not many of a man exists in the city, she was use to the harsh glares and comments of the city life. She was fine with them all, but it was refreshing being around someone different. Glancing around in embarrassment, she could see eyes watching her, the headlines popping up in her head. Isis Nathifa Mubarak, drunken party animal, slips and falls in a local cafe. She was sure her older brother would be absolutely thrilled to hear about her stumble. Amused, maybe, but not thrilled. She didn't pride herself in her clumsiness, after all. Isis winced as he examined her head, which was sure to bruise, her face softening as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She watched his eyes as he put the ice on her head, something she didn't ask for but was sure to receive. The blush on her cheeks was not going away, her eyes still avoiding direct contact with his.

A eyebrow automatically raised when he spoke, revealing her teeth as she grinned. The nicest guy in Glassview? What confidence in such a bold statement, Isis thought to herself with amusement. He interested her terribly, not just because he was attractive. He was such the guardian type, Isis had to pick his brain and learn more about him. Isis watched his hands as he set the ice down, wondering how cold his hands are. She was almost tempted to reach out and grab his hands which looked blue-ish and pale. His skin was so pale, the blue showed almost immediately. Isis liked how the blue in his skin looked, and almost didn't notice him asking her a question. Absentmindedly, Isis's focus broke as she looked up at the man. Asking to buy her coffee? What a gentlemen. " Wait, your hands must be freezing, here," Isis insisted, grabbing his hands and rubbing them gently, blowing warm air on his hands with her lips as she thawed out his hands. She couldn't help but notice how smooth parts of his hands were, and how rough other parts were. Not looking up at him, Isis continued to thaw out his hands, her small, delicate hands firm on his.

She was so focused on warming his hands, she almost forgot that he never told her his name. Isis was sitting in a crowded cafe, rubbing someone's hands warm and talking to them while being completely unaware of who they were. How like her. She was never really the type to care about titles, but names were pretty darn important. And she tended to forget to ask for them frequently. " Are you going to tell me your name or am I going to have to call you Prince Charming the rest of the day?" Isis asked with a charming smile as she looked up at him finally. Her eyes locked with his, her smile not faltering as she watched him with amusement. He was such an interesting man, she couldn't help herself. Isis was always so intrigued with people who were kind when they didn't have to be. She wondered why they did it. What did they get from it? Pride? Happiness, knowing that someone else is a little brighter because of them? Who knows. Isis just knew that people who were kind for no given reason were worth getting to know. Especially Prince Charming, who she was calling that until she learned his name.
