Shear Press Operators, Vista, CA
1st and 2nd Shift Positions
We offer a shift pay differential for working 2nd or 3rd shift
Hours
• 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
• 3rd Shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am
Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate equipment.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience with mechanical or hydraulic shear press in a sheet metal environment.
• Must be able to identify different types of metals, i.e. aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, etc.
• Must have knowledge of metal thickness and gauges.
• Must have good math skills.
• Be able to read and comprehend job orders, blueprints and instructions.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Must be reliable, energetic, and motivated with a positive attitude and good work ethic.
Physical Conditions/Requirements
• Work mostly in a controlled indoor environment with some exposures to the elements.
• Occasional – Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
• Job frequently requires standing, kneeling, stooping, and forward bending for extended periods of time and handling objects with hands.
• Job occasionally requires walking, reaching, talking, hearing, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and or electronically.
• Communication requirements: Ability to read, hear and verbally communication in English.
