Remote Ocean Systems is looking for a Senior Manual Machinist with 8-10 years manual experience who can assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating machine shop equipment. Responsible for machining low to medium volume parts. Some of the essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
•Fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments per mechanical drawings and produce and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
•Program Proto Trak milling stations.
•Complete preventative and predictive maintenance on the machine shop equipment.
•Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
•Maintain and secure work tools and keep work area clean.
•Order tools and fabrication parts as needed.
•Develop prototype designs with engineering staff.
•Assist engineering to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
•Complete daily maintenance and repair log.
•Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
