I was stunned to get the tweet that the rarities album is releasing (digitally) tomorrow. Looks like it's new stuff, rarities, and B-sides. The physical release will come in about two weeks, which I guess means those rascals will trick me into buying twice--I haven't given up on physical just yet!

Don't see a track list just yet, but I do hope for Shapeshifter.

Edit: found one:

Shapeshifter – previously unreleased
Black Eyed Sue – previously unreleased
Whiter Shade of Pale – new
Brand New Day (feat. Jesse Dryfhout) – previously unreleased/alternate version
Bang Bang Bang – new
Comin' Up From Behind – previously unreleased/alternate version
Hallelujah - new
Mr. Fisher – new
Sex and Candy – new re-recording
Bye Bye – previously unreleased/alternate version
Crazy Katy – B-side
Up and Down – previously unreleased
The Plant Song – previously unreleased
Special – B-side / bonus track from 'Leaving Wonderland"
Rosey Risin' – B-side / bonus track from 'Leaving Wonderland'
Ballad of Aslan – previously unreleased
The Needle and The Damage Done – new
The Angel of The Forever Sleep – B-side
Bonus track: Sex and Candy (Disco Superfly Remix) – new

Happy? Sad? Missing anything? Hey, Shapeshifter! I'm good.

I don't quite get Facebook, but I'll check it out.

I was kind of hoping for Shadow of Seattle with a full outro, but wouldn't that basically have to just be a new solo? If I remember right, it cuts off because the tape cut off.

Yeah, the tape cut off. They've never recorded it in it's completion, according to them. Maybe someday smile.gif

Hello,
I am new to posting, but a long time fan. I'm hoping someone could answer my question. One rare track I was hoping to hear was "These Shoes." I have never heard it or seen it anywhere. According to various sites, it was a bonus track on the MP3 album. Does anyone know anything about this rare or missing track. Does it even exist?

I have been wondering about "These shoes" for years. Methinks it is a typo as every unreleased thing I have is basically this new CD. I think there is two tracks I don't have. And the Mr. Fisher is a version I don't have

The only missing rarities I can think of are Keegan's Christmas, No Money No Honey, the original versions of Deadly Handome Man ("The Devil's Song") and Memphis, and the sped up version of Star Baby.

This is a very disappointing release. Another victim of the loudness wars. Everything is boosted so high that the vocals, particularly on the new version of Sex and Candy, are distorted to the point of being unlistenable. I hope their next studio release isn't ruined at the mastering stage.

Dylan said he's never heard of it. That qualifies as not existing in my book. ninja.gif

These Shoes.....your friggin' kidding me.

I was kinda disappointed with this release more so for the "new" songs added as I believe I have all, any and more of the unreleased. But I guess we'll never know since MP is no longer until the Phoenix rises again ninja.gif I simply bought the few that were new or alt versions to me.

Hallelujah (most excellant and as always the emotion Woz emits comes thru) and Needle beautiful and classically redone only the way Woz can do.....replaces my "live" versions which I much appreciate.

Mr. Fisher wasn't my pc of pie with the voice coder and island theme.....original much better!!!.....this was too Indaba.

The Plant Song and Whiter Shade of Pale......classics but not original additions....nice versions.

As Ringo says, peace and luv, peace and luv...send me no correspondence as I will not sign anything.......come back and play Woz.........please Prudence please

Not sure what song you're thinking of, but The Plant Song was original and new, and no one had it. At least according to the boys. Even I had never heard it until release time.

hmmmmm.....plant song? Why do the chords and some of the whords sound like something I have heard in the late 60's or early 70's.......to much acid.....oh well. I'll need reconfirmation from Sir Woz of what inspired this plant song and if it was truly original or was it something he heard and morphed into "original".....man I love my rhymes rolleyes.gif
