Those that didn't show up today missed a golden oportunity, Alvin was offering up free flights on the Raptor. Me and Frits were the only takers and Margo turned him down, it sure helped me to get over the heartache of crashing my hawk yesterday to fly such a precision machine. I was so inspired by the success I had and how smooth it felt that I left the field and made 1 quick stop at the house to pick up the slightly damaged Hawk and head for Hobby Town. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Crash Kit did include everything that I think will be needed to get it repaired and was much less in cost than I thought. So if all goes well I will be Hovering this week end, but NO FORWARD FLIGHT !!! If anyone sees me start to weaken to the temptation please try and talk some sense into me.

Anyway, not quit sure what got into Alvin, Maybe just the excitement of Alabama's sweet victory or maybe he was enjoying his favorite Beverage during tha game but it may be some time before he offers again so I am just happy I was there to get some more stick time on the Raptor. You did good, Steve! thumbup.gif

I watched you restrain yourself, and you kept it cool and low.

What an honor, eh, for you and me to have flown the Main Rotor Head's Raptor? cloud9.gif

Look, just in case you'll default on that promise you made Margo (no forward flight for FIVE WEEKS) call me, and I will be there, with my camera and another crash kit...

It was a honor indead, but as to the 5 weeks! I thought I said 1 month which to me always means 4 Weeks. I found out interesting news on the Hawk crash kits at HTUSA, the Hawk Sport Kit is 100% compatible with the hawk Pro. I thought you were saying that your kit had a smaller 8mm Vs. 10mm main shaft, that is why I did not take you up on buying the one you had from you, but apparently all Hawks now have 10mm shafts. Is your crash Kit 8 or 10 MM, and can you change the one in your Hawk to 10 or would that take many other upgrades first?

Don't be sure of the need for me to have another kit in the 4 or 5 weeks when forward flight is resumed, I will be getting many hours of forward flight on the Blade and the sim between now and then so I will be ready when the Yoda Master does declare me ready.
