Well, Azalea City Model Aeronautics' 1st Annual Sailplane Fly-in turned out better than we anticipated!

We had 26 registered pilots including some from out of town and out of state. Five from Pensacola, FL, one from Milton, FL, and one from Stapleton, AL.
Most of our ACMA glider boys were present!

The field and pavilion looked nice and clean, thanks to Robert, Russell and Elton.
The food was absolutely great, thanks mostly to Robert and Russell. thumbup.gif
The event's organization was very good too. Well — I tried my best... biggrin.gif

Here's a group picture.

Guess which plane shown is not a glider, but somehow its pilot worked his way into this picture anyway... angry.gif

I'm working on the Sep. 11 Pits Report now.
It should follow last weekend's report soon. (That one is in our Web Master's inbox already...)

Here's an interesting shot for you. This is a composite image (multiple exposure) of 11 seperate images showing Rob Baker's big Thermal Duration sailplane being pulled up on the winch.

Fantastic editing TJ,
I'll never trust a photo you post without close inspection! Hey Avistar 2, wonder how he got all those planes to line up like that??? dontknow.gif

I don't usually do any tricky or subversive editing in my photos. If I do, it's something obvious like this shot. So normally, you can trust my images to be real.

I captured a few other launches that I'll give the same treatment, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Fantastic editing TJ,

There's no "editing" there.
The camera did it... rolleyes.gif

They're doubting it and want more pics (understandably). Does Enzo still have it or is it back at Robs? If TJ or Frits doesn't have more pics I can swing by and take some.

I got that photo from Frits and I (Tango Juliet) posted it on RCGroups in the Radian thread. They just don't want to believe that it's real.

I didn't even get any photos of it myself. I have to head back to work today, so if you can get photos of it go right ahead. I don't know if Enzo has it yet or if he's returned it to Rob already. Rob had mentioned keeping it for himself.

What is so special about this Radian? ohmy.gif

You'd think it was plated with gold-leaf and covered with high-voltage photo cells... rolleyes.gif

It's the fact that the plane was good without the flaps and ailerons.
Now it has them. wink.gif
