Is it a HLG? Is the graphics a sticker? This post has been edited by Johnny_J on Aug 29 2010, 08:33 AM -------------------- |

Interesting name, alula...
Did you know that it means ba$tard wing? It is a small projection of several small feathers on the leading edge of the wing of modern birds. What is HLG? This post has been edited by Flying Dutchman on Aug 29 2010, 04:13 AM -------------------- Frits - AMA Member 403246 (since 1990)

The graphics are hand drawn using colored permanent markers. I tried to make it look like a Red-tailed Hawk. I haven't done the underside.
Yes, HLG means Hand Launch Glider, though this one is more of a Discus Launch. Here is a Youtube video: Alula Before I got the kit, I didn't know what an Alula was, but there's a description of it in the instruction booklet. If you follow the black lines from the white sticker in the center of the body/fuse to the leading edge, that's the spot. Are you talking about the Gravity spot? I think it's know as the G-spot? -------------------- Frits - AMA Member 403246 (since 1990)

I'm not sure I want to know where the G-spot of a bird is. I definitely don't want to know how you found out . -------------------- |

I had hoped to fly the Alula this Saturday at the glider fly in, but the battery I ordered from HTUSA was too big (dimension), so I broke down and ordered two from the website where I purchased the glider, www.dream-flight.com. Unfortunately, I won't have them in time for the fly in.
I have a question. With my Alula finished like a red-tail hawk, does it qualify as a "Scale" airplane? -------------------- |

What size and type do you need? I have some weird sized spares that may work. -------------------- |
