Here's the aftermath of the Cub's crash...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwhdY4SCtZ0 and... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znGqXS9-S3g and then later... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5NRQHmKs9tI And much later, a couple more crashes, by me, with Robert's night plane. No major damage, and I have no pictures... This post has been edited by Flying Dutchman on Jun 15 2009, 11:42 AM -------------------- Frits - AMA Member 403246 (since 1990)

Stupid Stupid StupidIf I had the shop space, I'd build Al a new one (a military version for something different), but I guess I'll just have to make a monetary donation to the cause instead. I haven't talked to him yet today, but I'm pretty sure the LG will have to be replaced as there was a hard 90 degree bend on one of the tubes, and I don't know about engine damage yet. After doing a couple of beautiful 3-points, I stalled it on the departure of a touch and go. I should have pushed the nose over and aborted, but instead I tried to fly away and when it went left, I didn't have enough airspeed for the aileron to be effective on the right wing, and over it went. I don't know why you're so infatuated with those "hot and streped" (or "strepped", or "striped") rotor gears. Helicopters crash because of many other reasons besides a stripped gear...
Really? No joke? If I had known that I would have never bought the ones I have now... This post has been edited by Flying Dutchman on Jun 15 2009, 05:51 PM -------------------- Frits - AMA Member 403246 (since 1990)
