The latest Pits Report, as viewed through our club Website, has a problem of gigantism... embarrassed.gif

Sorry about that....

Why is it that the pictures are so large that I can only see about a quarter of them at a time? I have to scroll around to see all.

Because some really are ginormous!

Rats!... I was afraid of that! Andrew and I talked about that earlier today... unsure.gif

The problem is caused by me, not Andrew. I deleted one step in my operation I shouldn't have! embarrassed.gif

For now, let's see how many complaints I get! ohmy.gif

I DO want feedback! yes.gif

Are ALL of them huge, jday?

Yeah, and not dial up friendly at all.
Picture file sizes are so large that it took me four minutes to download just one picture.
A couple of pictures was all I had patience for.
Videos, I know better than to even try, but I did enjoy looking at all the pictures.
I will not be viewing many of the pictures in report at this rate.

Hey, while you are waiting, check out a couple of new items our Webmaster Andrew has added to our Website:
-----------------------------------------------
1. The AMA Insider bimonthly newsletter is now available from the home page of the Website.
The AMA Insider page links you to many articles written by the AMA staff members and AMA chartered club members.
It's only sent to club Presidents and club Newsletter Editors, to pass on to their club's members.
Scroll down to the bottom of the AMA Insider page to find past years' archives containing hundreds of articles, flying hints, and building tips.

To see the AMA Insider, go to our ACMA Website by clicking here > http://www.acma-rc.com/index.html > main menu > AMA Insider
-----------------------------------------------
2. The monthly club meeting minutes are now also posted.

Go to: ACMA Website > main menu > Club Information > scroll down to > Monthly Club Meetings > click on Meeting Minutes
-----------------------------------------------
3. I've added more pictures and videos to the MARCMAF Picture Album. You may be in there!
You can view a photo by simply clicking once on the small thumbnail picture. Clicking it a second time will make it even larger.
But if you want to look at a series of them, or all of them, they are best viewed in a slide show.
Look for the slideshow button in the upper right corner of the Photo Album page. You can control the speed of the slide show.
Videos don't appear in a slide show. You can view a video by clicking on the thumbnail picture that looks like a little strip of old film with little sprocket holes alongside of it.
You can always go to the ACMA Website > main menu > Photo Album > slideshow

But to view the photo album right now, click here > http://gs61.photobucket.com/groups/h46/8RASYTGNM2/

Videos, I know better than to even try,

Now, alvinonline — the size of the YouTube and PhotoBucket video frames is pretty much fixed and rather small at that. We can't control that. Those videos will work the same for you now as they did yesterday. rolleyes.gif

The problem is that I didn't size most pictures down, and that became a problem in the fixed window size of the club's Website. embarrassed.gif

I never saw a problem because everything looked GREAT (...and damm humongous, come to think of it... rolleyes.gif ) on my 20-inch Apple monitor when I viewed the report and pictures from a special "preview link" that Andrew gave me.

I'm working on a fix (I think...) Keep baring with me... fullmoon.gif

Oh, by the way, there are faster methods of data transmission besides dial-up, you know... rolleyes.gif biggrin.gif

Just forget about it, I am sorry that I even said anything.

It's an easy fix, all on the user end, everybody just get a 20 inch or bigger monitor, a mac computer, and broadband internet. All will be peachy.

What ever happened to web presentations degrading gracefully and user friendly to the max.

If a picture size is twice the size of the Iframe it is presented in, you see a quarter of the picture without scrolling.

And I am not talking about the size of the video in width and height.
I am talking about file size as related to dial up, I see the video at about a frame per five second rate. I do not expect to be able to enjoy steaming video with dial up, never expected to. That is why I am interested in the picture presentation, I would like to be able to view them in reasonable size and download time. I know that it can be done.

Yes! I'm with you, alvinonline!
I'm actually working on user-friendliness, believe it or not.
I think I 'fessed up to making a mistake — twice... embarrassed.gif Or didn't you read that part?... embarrassed.gif

Keep baring with me, buddy... fullmoon.gif

Hope to have it fixed tomorrow, would that be all right?

And by the way -

steaming video
is what you get from that adult store outside Mobile city limits... tongue.gif

But a streaming video, now that's something a whole lot more boring... ohmy.gif laugh.gif

Steaming or Streaming, I would not know the flavor of your videos, I don't get to view them.

Tomorrow? What's wrong with working on it all night?

In all seriousness, confidence is high that yawl will get it all figured out.

On Russell's eight foot home entertainment monitor, he said that he could see all the ******s on both ***s of a wide open ****y with one *** ****ed when watching the "***** does ******" DVD.
