On the first day of 2012 Al Ayler dressed for the occasion and TJ Rohyans wore his party hat. He should have worn that sexy skirt with it…
![]() Phil Hooper brought his super-fast Corplast racing plane. It's powered by a Rossi .40 engine. It's faster than Jake Magnin's racer… Jake did a couple more flights on his newest combat plane. I think he's getting the hang of that handlaunch… Jon Koppisch flew Henry Waltman's P-51 Mustang. ![]() Jake's handlaunch > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03VubYBsXUU The Mustang takes off > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vErHKuT8TIM The Mustang lands > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qeWWeHtHdA Someone adorned the south gable will a RC decoration… Randy Bodifort showed up with his electric Stryker. It is pretty fast, but less than super-fast… Jon flew an electrically powered glider. I think it is Robert Sanderson's… ![]() Justin flew his U-Can-Do, doing some 3D stuff with it… He also flew Tony Pirkle's scale helicopter, the Bell Jet Ranger. It's a really good-looking heli… Then Tony got his tiny electric Blade mCPx heli out and flew it… He also flew Herb Tipton's T-28 Trojan. ![]() Tony had brought his small Ultimate biplane and this Yak-54. He let Mike McLaughlin and Justin Peacock fly the Yak too... That nice, versatile airplane stand was put to good use… Jack Smith had problems getting his Cessna Skylane started and ended up leaving it grounded. So he flew his Piper J-3 Cub. ![]() ![]() Here's Jack's Cub landing > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkdPggr49Io More in an upcoming Pits Report... There was a 3-blade plaque on the North side of the pavilion also. I don't know who added them, but they were nice to see.
