Larry's, Hawk Pro crashed Tuesday at the field trying a loop or roll. Here is some pics after the crash. I missed the crash by a half hour. Sorry Larry that your Hawk Pro died.

Gee, Russell, you must be extremely proud of that picture... dry.gif

Why don't you just superimpose your face directly over the Hawk... dry.gif

Wonderful, Russell! But it's not that difficult!

The photo looks very cheesy with your name plastered across it... dry.gif
Put your name sort of to the side, in the corner... You'll still get the credit.

Have at it!

But — one stipulation...
Whoever takes my job... Make sure you put your name across every subject in each picture in bold letters! rotfl.gif

I do not want your job-it's yours. I want a real job that actually gives out a paycheck at the end of the week.

Yeah, I killed the Hawk. CryingSmiley.gif Pretty sure I had a link pop off when I started a roll based on the way it acted. It was a pretty spectacular crash!
Don't worry Jeff, the crater I left was on the far side of the runway out in the mud and giggle weeds!

As a result, I have a BUNCH of spare parts I'll bring to the field including a bunch of up grade items like:
metal clutch bell, metal tail and slider, metal fan, over size fuel tank, swash stabilizer and the the driven gear set. The upper frames were about the only thing that didn't get wiped out (main shaft is bent, but still in the frames so the gears don't get lost).

Anyway, I'm not going to rebuild the Hawk again so I'm open to the best offer on the lot or individual parts. Also have the engine/muffler (os37/tokie 40) for sale.

After Russell took the pictures, I got to see him fly his Avistar trainer. Yes Viginia, Russell does fly and he he flies very well! bigairplane.gif He greased in a landing dead on the centerline of the runway.

To add to Larry's comment about my flying, My landing was a dead stick landing. Thanks to Mr. Fritz for teaching me how to dead stick. It has saved many planes from crashing by learning how to dead stick. This is a thankyou for teaching me fritz. woo_hoo.gif

To land a plane thats has fuel in the tank and lose flying time. yickes.gif I can stay flying longer by running the tank out and saves me the trouble of emptying the tank out at the end of the day.
