Friday afternoon June 12, pictures/comments:

Got to the field and found this bunch, Jade, Elton, Russell, and Jeff having a social gathering.
user posted image

Elton was showing me his new profile airplane.
user posted image

And particularly wanted me to take a picture of this decal, Elton seems to like devils, flames, and skull graphics.
user posted image

Russell's Avistar and Alvin's Titan getting their weekly charge on batteries.
user posted image

Ken was preparing his video camera link equipped Slo Stick for more trial flights.
user posted image

Ken showing Russell how to make some fine adjustments to the elevator on Russell's Avistar RC nitro plane.
user posted image

Russell had the pictures taken during his recent trip up to Pennsylvania to his Railroad Historical Society convention. He has about 90 pictures and promises to post some on forum soon as he figures out how. Till then, I took a picture of one of the pictures that everyone thought was so funny, saying that they thought that this conductor looked like Alvin back when he had a mustachio.

and more glide to it,

Saturday June 13, Pictures/Comments

Got to the field and found Frits all refreshed and ready for some picture taking.
user posted image

Jeff Lee had his little electric helicopter flying real nice and it started spinning around all by itself. It made a hard landing and did some small amount of damage. Jeff was worrying about if the gyro, servo or something expensive had failed, was relieved to find out that he had forgot to install the screw that holds the output horn on the TR servo and it had fell off in flight.
user posted image

Johnny Jones was showing me how he is converting what used to be a nitro engine powered little RC plane to electric powered with a removable engine/motor pod.
user posted image

Johnny Turner had his helis out today, but the big white one suffered some malfunction, Johnny said "Loose Nut On The Sticks", and made a hard arrival.
user posted image

Robert was at field today after his premature return from his trip up North to take part in several Spad Fest flying events. Chopped his finger with engine prop while at one of the events and came on home early.
user posted image

Robert did manage to bring back a couple of prizes that he won at the event he did get to attend.
user posted image

Robert had this new invention out today, it carries some big snurf football whistling bombs to be dropped as well as can deploy a big parachute for bringing down the whole airplane.
user posted image

The parachute worked real well, get airplane to altitude, cut the throttle, and deploy the parachute and the entire works float gently to ground. Several successful parachute deploying flights made and many bomb runs.
user posted image

Roger Hagler, all refreshed form his vacation to Canada, was back flying and had out this neat little airplane.
user posted image

Russell getting a kick out of flying this very scale blimp.
user posted image

Russell got in a variety of flying today, here he is putting Johnny's 250 size electric helicopter through it's paces.

It wasn't Russell's plane...
(If you could only read what is printed in the previous posts... rolleyes.gif )

And the blimp was FULL scale...

And I WAS "joining the fun"...
I flew that plane several times and so did CRASH 22. dry.gif

Sunday Afternoon June 14, Pictures/Comments:

Elton with just a minor portion of his fleet.
user posted image

Elton being well documented while grinding on his airplane.
user posted image

Frits and William helping themselves to some of the grub cooked up by Robert and Russell today, Elton provided some meat I think.
user posted image

Henry managed to snag a burger before they all got gone.
user posted image

Kristie Johnson was eating lite today with just a burger pattie and was daring me to take her picture.
user posted image

Then with full bellies, the Johnson girls and dad Gary settle back to some fine cartoon watching on Robert's TV hooked to satellite dish. NASCAR was over, go Mark Martin, he had the gas today.
user posted image

Looks like it was Cub Day up on the North End once again.
user posted image

While up on North End, I spotted this friendly looking pilot eyeballing me.
user posted image

After a successful flight, Wayne Miller taxis his GB airplane back up the runway.
user posted image

I did not realize that Russell had picked up some weight as the bottom of his chair gives up the ghost.
user posted image

It was a tragic day for Al's big Cub airplane. It went in pretty hard over on other side of runway. He was not on the sticks, I can say no more.
user posted image

Al carries some of the Cub remains back toward the pit area.

Well, this is not all that happened...

On Saturday two helicopters went in. (Johnny Turner's and Jeff Lee's.)

And refer to the "poor titan" thread to see more Sunday evening carnage... biggrin.gif
