Thread has destroyed the electrical grid, ruining all that AIVAS was able to teach the people of Pern. Not able to move forward in technological evolution, they take a step back to nearly pre-AVIAS times.


Divided

In days past, Anya of Lyer Weyr has overcome many an obstacle to keep her Weyr together. But as some of the Weyrfolk and Dragonriders split off to start Neora Weyr to be under the leadership of someone older, and more 'mature', things promise to get complicated. Surprisingly, there was peace between the two Weyrs...until recently. As a Neorian Dragon steals an egg from Lyer right before it can hatch, things only get worse. A blue rider and her dragon were murdered, and the killer fled. All they left behind was a dagger that had 'LW' engraved on it...Lyer Weyr. The murderer was found, a man that had worked in the storerooms at Lyer. But finding him didn't help heal the wounds between the weyrs. And now 3 and a half turns later they have a bitter peace. Rarely communicating, never sharing, and tensely flying thread together. What next?
