Alright, the first comment Khamuli merely dismissed as male ego. It made no difference to her, really. But the second response he made to her lit her blood on fire and she felt rage building in her chest. She quickly sheathed her knife before she had blood on her hands. She did not feel like being pursued by the entirety of the Rangers for killing one of their own "in cold blood".
"Insult me not, Ranger." She hissed dangerously. "The life of a soldier brings many stories, and being a woman in a 'man's' world brings many more. Do not test me, or it will be at your cost." She threatened, almost overwhelmed by her anger directed at this despicable man. "Talent? Yes, it was dumb luck that had me survive the battle of Pelennor Fields." She paused. "But I won't deny King Elessar is a true king, merciful to the highest extense." She spoke reverently of the king of many lands, as he was known to Easterlings. |

Cield had to stop himself from rolling his eyes overdramatically from Khamuli's actions. Honestly, who was she trying to kid? After all, there was no hope for her achieving anything greater than he achieved in his own life.
"Being a woman certainly brings stories about, I know that well. I have met two female warriors to this day, not counting you. I must say, however, that it's quite facinating. Never heard mention of you before, one would think such a fantastic female warrior would have her name spread far and wide." Snickering towards her, he should his head before taking in her comment about Pelennor Fields. Suddenly, he began to wonder why Aragorn had forgiven all of those who had gone against them during the war. If they were all as arrogant as the woman before him, he would have to try and conceal his anger among them all. |

Khamuli glared angrily at him. How dare he... how dare he! He was just one of those arrogant males who thought they owned the world. She curled her hand into a fist, trying to release some of her anger on something other than a spot on his jaw. How little did he know about her culture? She sighed dramatically.
"I don't think my reputation is as important as my skills." She snapped. "And what of you? I have never heard of Rangers till I stepped foot here." She told him. [I'm sleep deprived... JEREMY CAMP TOUCHED MY HAND!!! *fangirl scream*] |

"That proves, then, no doubt that you have no knowledge whatsoever of our lands. Precisely why you would have no chance in a battle if it were to come between any of the Rangers and yourself. No mere warrior such as yourself could outdo any of us," Cield declared with a slight air of pride before he looked around himself a bit.
"No, where are you headed to or are you emrely just going to rest and the likes without any real intent on which location you desire to come upon?" |

Khamuli could not take it anymore. He spoke with pride, more than what he should, and he thought so well of his kind. She was not denying the fact they were excellent fighters. She had been in a scuffle with a few before Pelennor, and had come out injured. She closed her eyes, as if gathering her calm and struck out with her fist, her hand coming in swift contact with his jaw. She shoved her elbow into his stomach, hoping to do some real damage.
"I hope only to rest for a few hours and then continue wandering. I head for the eastern shore, most likely." She said informatively and calmly. |

Cield could not deny the fact that pain shot through his cheek the moment Khamuli slapped his cheek. From his hard training and his *Cough*rockhardabs*Cough* he felt less pain from her elbow to his stomach than the priar. Still, it didn't help his man ego.
"What was that for? Just simply stating the truth gets a guy slapped where you're from?" |

Khamuli burned with rage. She was so angry her hands were trembling. She could not believe this man! He had gall, guts and nerve. While that might be good in battle, it was not well to act as such in front of her. She was used to respect. She had worked hard for respect and she didn't fancy earning it all over again.
"No, it was because you think so highly of yourself. You speak continuously of you and your Rangers! I do not deny the fact your people are skilled, but you are so narrow minded that maybe beyond the great lands, there are warriors." She panted, her eyes wild. |

"Oh please, what did you expect me to say? After all, you helped to kill people I knew! How can someone so easilly find respect for those like that?" Cield demanded, feeling slightly sick before shaking his head.
"I don't think I could ever hold respect for someone like you." |

Khamuli flinched, her mind going back to the battle. It had been so bloody. She nearly vomited at the memories of all the bodies that had lain around her. She cared not for the Orcs, but she had remembered seeing men- nay, boys- dying. She nearly crumbled under the weight of the guilt.
She whispered a short prayer in her native tongue. "I am sorry, Cield. Really, I am." She said softly, more to herself than him. She couldn't even bear to look at him. She had seen men she had known for years fall to the ground, never to get up again. She couldn't imagine how he was feeling. She didn't doubt that he had known some of those men for all his life, and held more love for them than she could ever comprehend. She coughed lightly and then hardened herself. Emotions made one weak. "Tis late. I shall sleep." She said simply and found a flat space of ground and sat, before reclining. She closed her eyes, but kept them open enough to watch him. She wasn't stupid. |
