Yeah, I just wish you could be there...as in be there be there, Brenwian sighed, a pained look on her face. I wish you were here now so that I had someone I could be with while I was going through all of this. It hurts so much to not have a mother.

[i]I'm so sorry, my dear. So very sorry.[i] Gilrean whispered, tears coming into her eyes. She had only held her daughter a few times when she was merely a babe and then she had died. She had missed first crushes, the mood swings and holding her as she cried. She had missed seeing her daughter grow into a woman.

Brenwian sighed as she suddenly wished her mother had not died. Not that she hadn't wished it before, but this time it with such strength... It is not your fault, was all she could say as she looked around her. It shocked her that Cield had yet to question what was wrong with her. He probably just thought being out without Legolas was finally getting to her.

Arathorn glared back at his wife. What he had said was lie, of course. He did love his wife, but...he wasn't sure if his daughter would be happy with Legolas.
"My dear," he said, floating over to his wife. "I just want the best for our daughter, and I don't think he is good enough for her!" Softening a little; he sighed. Sweetie, I just want the best for my little girl. And..I don't want your heart to get broken. |

Brenwian felt a weak smile form over her lips as she shook her head, sighing out of frustration. Thanks for the concern, she began weakly, feeling sick still after all that had been said. But I just know that he will always love me. And that he won't hurt me.

"I know Arathorn." Gilraen gave him a small smile, knowing he had good intentions. "But our little girl is getting married. You're going to be a grandfather someday! Be happy for her!" She resisted the urge to hit his arm gently.
He better not. She commented to Brenwian. I don't want to have to kill him. |

Arathorn chuckled at little as his wife's empty threat.
I wouldn't do that! And...are you saying that someday...I...I will...become-he gulped- OLD?! He smiled. I just want our little girl to be happy, and he if does something to upset her, he will be the one who is going to get killed! At this moment, he would have given anything to have been alive, both he and his wife that is. He would love to have something to do with his daughter's happiness. Gritting his teeth he hissed. I guess that Legolas is an...ok gent. And, I guess no matter what I do, you're going to marry him, eh, my little pimpkin? |

Brenwian nearly collapsed out of relief as Arathorn suddenly gave what may be considered a slight approval. Compared to what he had been saying before, it was so much easier to take in than anything else.
Still, she wasn't sure why she wanted their approval so much. They hadn't talked to her until that day. But to her, her parents meant a lot to her. Even when they had been dead and she didn't know who they were those years ago. Thanks, ada, she thanked her father in elvish, which was her native tongue truthfully. She had been raised her whole life around elves. |

You're welcome. He looked quickly at his wife and shrugged. What does 'ahddeh' mean? he asked, toltally btuchering the pronounciation. Is that supposed to be offensive? He hoped not, although he couldn't blame her if she did.
Nevertheless, he was proud of his daughter; she was strong willed, just as he would have liked. Too bad he had nothing to do with it. But, he must take it as a grain of salt; his baby girl is all grown up now, and on her way to being married, and having a life and family of her own. |
