Just wanting some thoughts on a comparison between these two lists...

number one
1 Lord of Change @ 665 Pts
Magic Level 4; Lore of Tzeentch

1 Exalted Daemon @ 355 Pts
Mark of Chaos Undivided; Magic Level 2
Blade of the Ether [45]

12 Horrors with Champion @ 229 Pts

11 Horrors with Champion @ 214 Pts

1 Chariot of Tzeentch @ 140 Pts

1 Chariot of Tzeentch @ 140 Pts

5 Screamers of Tzeentch @ 165 Pts

3 Screamers of Tzeentch @ 99 Pts

Casting Pool: 10

Dispel Pool: 7

Models in Army: 33

Total Army Cost: 2007

Lots of flying lots of speed... the exalted and the greater daemon have this nice master and the apprentice feel to them that flimsy as a theme but oh well and need to slim seven points

Number two

1 Lord of Change @ 665 Pts
Magic Level 4; Lore of Tzeentch

12 Horrors with Champion @ 229 Pts

12 Horrors with Champion @ 229 Pts

12 Horrors with Champion @ 229 Pts

1 Chariot of Tzeentch @ 140 Pts

1 Chariot of Tzeentch @ 140 Pts

5 Screamers of Tzeentch @ 165 Pts

3 Screamers of Tzeentch @ 99 Pts

3 Screamers of Tzeentch @ 99 Pts

Casting Pool: 9

Dispel Pool: 7

Models in Army: 46

Total Army Cost: 1995

More horrors, mostly because I love the models more screamers well , why not...

Any thoughts?

Gee guys cheers for all the feedback this really is a helpful community we have here.. 18 views..

I think I'll end up going with numba 1.

Had 2 games with it to day, one vs tzeencth mortals.. he had 12 casting dice... I riped him to sreads without losing a single wound, not one of his models left on the board.. true hes lord failing a terror test helped...

Game 2 knorn mortals as many dispell dice as I had casting.. end of turn 6 hadn't lost a single model (my exalted deamon had taking a wound in close combat though) and all that was left was his wounded lord, a exalted champion leading a unit of 7 chosen warriors 1 model off half strength..

never seen an army wiped off the board with out lossing one model before not less do it my self...

Hello! Sorry for not answering to your post, I've been on holiday and coming home is always a bit of chaos.

I would agree that number one seems the most effective list, as well as probably being more fun to play. A flying circus like that is always a nightmare for most opponents, especially for Chaos (who normally doesn't have effective enough missile fire to stop them). Watch out for lizzies with slann and lore of heavens though - all that unlimited range, no LOS will surely hurt your fliers.

Have you converted your chariots of Tzeentch? If so, how did you go about it?

Sorry dude, I usually jump on those since your army is what I play but I haven't had time to reply online lately.

I replied to your post on Portent today but I will repost it here too.

I recommend going with armylist number one. In fact at 2000 points it is very similar to the list I currently use.

The primary difference between the two is list number two is more magic dependent. Despite having one less power die; one more bound spell effectively increases the magic level by one net power die compared to the first list.

However in this game you want to be as good in as many phases as possible in case any of the strengths of your army fail you or you make a mistake. There will be armies that can nearly shut down your magic no matter what you do but you can still win if you use your other strengths (movement, psychology, shooting) effectively. List number one is better able to do that with more combat potential and a second Terror causing Flyer at a low cost of magic as a tradeoff.

I have had results similar to yours many times; nothing beats the killing efficiency of wiping out an entire fleeing enemy unit at a time with a flyer or Indigo Fire.
With this army I have had games against Brettonians, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts (Blood Dragons), Chaos Slannesh Mortals, Cult of Slannesh, Tzeentch Mortals, Dwarfs, and Lizardmen (Slann and Carnosaur type) where there were no enemy models remaining on the board by the end of turn 4 or 5. Chaos Dwarfs made it to turn 6.

This army plays even better at 2150 points because you can have both the Exalted Daemon and 3 units of Horrors in your list for all kinds of wonderfully horrendous killing.

the main problem I'm havin at the moment is triming that 7 points before the GT!! I have played a few games with the exalted of tzeentch rather than undivided thats 5... I suspect I'll have to lose the either blade... any thoughts?

as for the chaoits not quite finnished I'ved used a round flying base put 15 or so spear heads on the bottom and the prow of a dark eldar talos at the front with chains, will post some picts once they are done...

I'd say just drop a Horror from the unit of 12 and buy a musician for a total of 1999 points.
