My beloved Bridgekids, Libby and Kipper:![]() Like many cats they enjoyed boxes for beds. Libby went to the Bridge on April 21, 2006, Kipper on July 13 of the same year. She would have been 19 in August; Kip had his 15th birthday earlier in July. I miss them still. Love, Joanne |

Your babies are beauitful! I am so sorry you lost them in the same year. I know they are forever watching over you and are with you. I love both the colors of their coats! Love and hugs, Brandy -------------------- |

HOw adorable. My cats love boxes too. I had a flattened box that they all liked to scratch on, and I had it about 10 years, it moved with me, all different cats loved it. I finally had to toss it out, one too many hair balls on it and it had to go. lol

Thanks for your comments. If you look closely you can see that Libby's Hunts box is "Stewed Tomatoes" and Kipper's "Tomato Sauce", a very important distinction when they were moved aside for vacumning as both cats gave stares and meows of protest if the boxes were on the wrong side. Now and then it was fun to make this mistake on purpose just to generate this inevitable reaction.

This is such a sweet picture of your babies. I know you miss them.
It is funny how kitties love things we don't buy but just have around. I have a box that one kitty lays in that I now can't throw away. I was thinking of decorating it for the holidays. Michelle (greyson/gizmo's mom) |

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Joanne }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} they are lovely!! and how sweet they look, like "twins", in their boxes
...omg that's amazing that they knew this so well and also were so vocal over getting their own box in the right place!! What smart guys!! -------------------- "Be yourself, and be glad of who you are." ~ Michelle Pfeiffer

They were beautiful kids. I love the way Kipper rests his head on the side of the box. And then you look over, and see Libby doing the same thing. All cats are special but there's something about a calico - yup, something about them that always catches my heart. I have always been so sad that you lost both your babies in such a short period of time. It's almost as though either one or the other was so lonely they couldn't go on without being together. Now their lives continue in the spiritual world. They have lots of grins and pride everytime they see you putting together a Faux-paws episode. Maggie Rose liked boxes. Lucy Mae does not. She would rather lay in the middle of a newspaper or anything that my concentration is on. She runs for her stroller a lot and I find her in there, and I also find her in her little tent, but boxes don't phase her. You can just see the attachment that Libby and Kipper have to their tomato products. Hugs and love, Rhoda |

Libby and Kipper are such beautiful kitties. I love how they are mirroring each other. I am so sorry you lost them both so close together. I can't imagine how hard that must have been and must still be. Like Rhoda said, they must have needed to be together watching over you.

I love that photo of your beautiful Bridgekids, Joanne! It's so sweet -- two fluffy kitties curled up in perfectly matching poses. I love hearing about how they knew which box was which, too.
And seeing them like that brings back memories of my Sinbad curled up in boxes, since she was longhaired like your furbabies. Wish I'd thought to take photos then. Frosty and Tiger liked boxes, too -- not quite as much as Sinbad, but still, if I was getting a box like that, cut down at the grocery store, I'd usually ask if they had any others so I could bring home three boxes, instead of one. Otherwise there might even be some squabbling about who would get the box. |
