I chose to post this here because today is
in the UK.And Diane's most beautiful, loving tribute to her mom reminded me that whichever side of the Bridge our moms are, they are our Ongoing Support. I was never close to mine. At least, I thought I wasn't. And like Rhoda and Patti mentioned elsewhere, I not only never told her "I love you" but I never heard her say those words to me either. But after 14 years, I have come to learn that this love runs far deeper than just a few words said with human lips. And I now know that my mum's spirit and mine are linked, and always have been and always will be. I write this with tears, but they are tears of love more than of regret. I cannot help the regret; but the love exceeds it a hundredfold. So although it is only Mother's Day for us here, and not for you in the USA, I still want to send wishes to everyone's mother, wherever they now are, and thanks for their role in bringing each of you into this world. The world is a far richer place because of all our mothers. ![]() And a special one, because my mum's rose garden was her special pride and joy: -------------------- "Be yourself, and be glad of who you are." ~ Michelle Pfeiffer
