Crestwall Application Name: Jill Age: 14 Gender: Female Country: USA, Pacific Coast time Number of Characters on site: 0 Preferred Contact: E-mail, PM RP Experience: About four years Where did you find this site? On the roleplay site Paramount Island Character Information B a s i c Full Name: Reagan Sydney James Nickname: Rea, pronounced Ray Age: 18 Birthday: August 13 Trouble Maker? yes/no: Yes A p p e a r a n c e Eye Color: Pale blue Hair Color: Depends on the light or if she’s recently dyed it, but normally dark brown Height: 5’9” Weight: 128 lbs. Prominent Feature(s): Her large lips and her striking eyes Summary: Reagan is an interesting person to describe, she constantly is changing how she looks. Some things that stay the same about her are her facial features, such as her eyes. Large and pale blue they stick out greatly on her tanned skin, the flash of color around the iris changing from yellow to green in different lighting. She has thick lashes that rarely need mascara, though she often applies it. Her nose is small and buttonish, sitting straight on her face with a small diamond stud in the left nostril.
Her lips are large and pouty, often tilted up in some kind of sly smile. Her teeth are even and white, thanks to four years of braces and various trips to the orthodontist. Reagan has her ears double pierced in each lobe, wearing longer earrings in the lowest pierce and studs in the other one. Her right ear has a ring in the cartilage that she never takes out for fear it would close up.
Long, darkly hued hair covers her head, hanging most often straight since it takes a long time to get the slippery strands to hold a curl. Her hair is cut into long, choppy layers. Sometimes Reagan will buy random, neon colored dyes that wash out in two or three shampoos and streak her dark hair for a night out.
The body of Reagan James is certainly different, she carries herself tall and proud, being a dancer and rider she knows posture is important. Modesty is not a bit problem with Reagan, she’ll wear whatever she wants even if it causes a stir. She enjoys retro prints and clothes, some days she’ll look like she came from the seventies and other days she’s wearing something that looks like it came straight from a fashion magazine.
M a k e – u p Describe your character in five words – Loud, assertive, wild, artistic, self-sufficient Personality: Loud- Reagan is the height of voice, she can’t sing worth a dime, but has she got pipes. She loves attention, but won’t go to extremes to get it, her voice is just naturally commanding. Reagan enjoys being able to surprise people who might think she wouldn’t be able to speak her mind. And oh my golly goodness can she ever speak her mind. If you don’t like Reagan’s opinion, keep that to yourself, she’ll respect your different viewpoint, but will continue to rave about her own, she loves a good debate.
Assertive- Her actions speak louder then her words, you might say though, Reagan is no weakling. The other word you might use for her, instead of assertive is, bitch. She doesn’t care about names though, it’s all what you think of yourself and knowing when you cross the line. Reagan will tell you what’s on her mind and will not back down from a challenge or a fight, in fact, she enjoys good competition. Her feelings are not easily hurt by petty words, but get a little more intellect with your rant and she could take a hit.
Wild- A child who never had a really responsible adult telling her what to do, Reagan has always found she likes things her way. Which is to say, she loves anarchy, no rules, no authority figures, just freedom and self expression. She hates the school uniforms and rules, they make her yearn for a way to get back at the establishment that houses her. Another wild side of Reagan is that she will drink and smoke if she gets the chance. She’s not addicted, she mostly will only participate to think she’s proving a point. A hollow victory, but one she counts none the less. A little bit of a tease, wearing revealing outfits and luring boys to try and bite, Reagan is no slut and does not sleep around no matter what rumors say about her.
Artistic- Her soft, seldom shown side is a bit different from the rest of Reagan. She prefers that no one knows she writes poetry or draws, thinking it will make them think her weak. Although she's been doing this for awhile Reagan loves her art, even if she won't share it with anyone.
Self-Sufficient- Growing up with little boundaries and very little support, Reagan has learned how to be her own. She had to use her parents money to really get anything when she was little, but she rarely asked and learned how to make birthday and Christmas funds stretch a long time. When she turned fifteen, Reagan started working, baby-sitting and stuff, to earn extra cash. She didn’t want to rely on her parents, it was sketchy at best to get money from them. Instead, when she wanted something expensive, Reagan would go to her Grandparents and borrow from them. She’s never had anyone to lean on besides her brother and her Nanny Mary, and Reagan’s just fine with that.
P r o o f Abilities: Dancer and horseback rider, skilled in “communications” meaning she can use words to her advantage. Talent: Very good at dancing, ranging in types from modern to ballroom. She also has a way with animals and has excelled at horseback riding, winning many blue ribbons. Why should your character attend Crestwall Academy? Reagan would be an invaluable asset, she's very athletic and competative. She has brains and takes what she wants from the world without fear. Her rebellious nature can be forgotten with a few donations from her parents perhaps. H i s t o r y Family Ties: Jennifer James - [40] - Mother Harold James - [54] - Father Ian James - [20] -Brother Mary Jefferson - [60] - Nanny History: Harold James met a young woman named Jennifer Smith one hot July day. She was fourteen years his junior, but that didn’t bother either. Jennifer wanted the money and reputation that came with marrying a slightly older tycoon. Harold wanted the young trophy wife, for he was nothing special to look at, even when he was young. They married when Jennifer was nineteen and Harold was thirty-three. After Jennifer had turned twenty, they had a beautiful baby boy named Ian. Two years later, Reagan was born, named after Harold’s favorite president. He always wanted more sons, never a daughter, but Jennifer would not have another child, claiming she didn’t want to ruin her body any more.
Reagan grew up with expectations coming from everywhere. Her friends in pre-school had their futures mapped out, who they would marry and what they would do a little sketchy, but the rest set in stone. Reagan saw the dead look in their eyes as they took in life at four from a thirty year old standing. She resoled to never be like that, and her rebellion started.
Her parents were never very loving toward her, Harold wanted sons to help him with his company and Jennifer was living her glamorous dreams that didn’t include kids. Reagan grew up with her nanny, Mary, who was the closest thing to a real mother she ever knew. Still, Reagan didn’t listen, she wasn’t uncontrollable, but she refused to call her parents Mom or Dad, they were Harold and Jennifer. Not that this bothered the two selfish people, they barely remembered they had children. Ian started to slip from his Father’s radar when he showed more interest in music then in business. Now, both children were in there early teens and still had the look Reagan had hated in pre-school. She refused private school and insisted that she go to public school.
It went on for a few more years until Ian came home punch drunk from a late rave with a tattoo on his arm and more then a couple new swear words for Reagan. He raged about how Harold and Jennifer never cared and how he was leaving. He left and Reagan cried that night for the first time in years.
Reagan was sixteen and bitter, she spent as much time away from home as possible and would have never dreamed her parents were plotting to get rid of her. It was the summer of her seventeenth birthday and as a present, her parents gave her a simple note on business stationary. It informed her she was going to be going to Crestwall boarding school, no nonsense, signed as if it were an unimportant document. Harold and Jennifer got quite the show, Reagan broke everything she could get her hands on and screamed until her lungs burned. Nothing happened, nothing broke through to the impassive monsters Reagan saw sitting behind that highly polished oak desk. Her anger built until she couldn’t contain it. Every nasty thing she had ever thought of them came ripping out, but it still didn’t work.
The appeal to her Grandparents fell on deaf ears, Reagan was going to Crestwall, there was nothing she could do. As a going away present, Jennifer presented Reagan with her favorite string of black pearls. The necklace was thrown out the taxi window on the ride to the airport. The tears she saw in Jennifer’s eyes were not for her, Reagan knew, but for the pearls as car tires smashed them into a fine powder.

| QUOTE | The taxi slowed to a stop outside of the school. It loomed like an impressive monster, stone and wood, but it might as well have been concrete and razor wire for all she cared. Reagan James stepped out of the hideous yellow cab, breathing in the fresh smell of wet earth and green plants. Usually the smell would have made her smile, she loved nature, but now it only reminded her of what she had left behind in New York. The shops, the friends, the food…She wouldn’t cry, but instead a hard look settled on her face. This place would never hold her, it wouldn’t want to hold her.
With a determined look in her blue steel eyes, Reagan yanked two of her suitcases from the trunk and walked toward the entry. She stopped and looked back at the man who had driven her here. He was short and balding, with a flat face and a turned up nose. She hated him for bringing her to this place, she didn’t even know his name.
Readjusting her grip on the two suitcases, Reagan turned back to the door, taking a deep breath. This was it, she was supposed to live here and learn. Her thoughts turned black as she remembered why she was here. Most girls would love to come to Crestwall, it had a great reputation and athletic program. But not Reagan, she would not be pulled in by the old beauty of the grounds or the buildings. This was her prison, all because her parents didn’t want to be parents anymore. Apparently they thought if both their children just disappeared, everyone would forget they ever had them in the first place.
Pushing open the door to the school, Reagan dragged her bags, darkly colored hair moving into her eyes. In a spurt of reckless rebellion, she had streaked it with neon blue. Maybe if they thought she would be trouble from the first, they would send her back. However, another thought hit Reagan hard, making her stumble to a stop in the middle of the hall. What was she going back to? Parents who didn’t want her, an empty house, superficial friends, what was there for Reagan outside of these walls? There was nothing for her away from here and there was nothing for her here. It made her head hurt and her heart ache.
"Is here fine Ms. James?" the driver asked, dropping another couple of bags next to her other ones. “Sure, whatever.” Reagan mumbled, looking around. This was her home now, the realization hit her hard, but perhaps it wouldn’t be as bad as her old home. A final, nasty thought stole across her mind, leaving her sick. Then again, it could be worse. She shook her head and squared her shoulders. No, she was going to beat this if it killed her |
