-hours later, in the morning-
I opened groggy eyes, only to looking at a currently blurry TV screen with some 'game over' sign thing flashing on it. I sighed, and sat up, and then realized I'd used Brody as a pillow. I froze for a moment, then realizing he wasn't up(yet) and got off the couch, quietly turning off the TV, finding a piece of paper and pen and writing a note, which I stuck to the TV.
'Had to go take care of the horses. See you at the barn?'
Is how it read. Okay, okay, a bit hopeful, but, hey, I don't want him feeling dejected! With that, I slipped my shoes on and snuck out the back door, figuring it would be safer to leave that one unlocked.
