Some of you already know, but I got a tattoo last Saturday! I got in in rememberence of my sister Dana. It didn't really hurt, at least I didn't think so. But I guess after you have a kidney stone you can tolerate just about anything, lol! I did get it in a not so sensitive spot, so that always helps to minimize the pain. Anyway, I love it and thought I'd share a pic. It's on the right side of my back, hip-level:

Erin that is insanely cool. Does the symbol mean anything? I think your sister would love it yeahright.gif.

I have a Chinese symbol meaning "respect" on my inner right ankle, and thinking of getting another on my lower back. biglaugha.gif .. They are sort of addicting.

Thanks Becca! The symbol is the taurus zodiac sign, she was a taurus. I thought it was pretty cool.

LOL yeah, first and only. My mom didn't really freak when I told her, but after I got home the first thing out of her mouth was, "That's huge!!" I was like, "No it's not." Then she said, "Okay fine. But you're not getting any more." Then I just started messing with her and was like, "Well maybe, you know these are kind of addicting, once you get one...more usually follow." Her face pretty much turned white, then I said I was kidding, lol. She didn't think it was funny...although I thought it was pretty hysterical, lol.

The tattoo is healing pretty nicely, although right now it itches like a bitch and I can't do anything about it! Oogle_anim.gif

biglaugha.gif Isn't that the truth. For the first few hours after I got mine, everything was fine. Then it started to throb like a son of a bitch. I mean I'd stand up and I couldn't put any weight on it (I'd hopped on one leg to get to the bathroom). And then the itching started .. holycrap1.gif The guy that "inked" me, said to slap the area around the tattoo so I did. It helped a little but not much. You pretty much have to grin and bear it.

I've been fine until the itching started. It hasn't been that bad, I just have like these itching fits where it itches so effin bad, then I slap it, lol! Then it goes away for awhile....lol. I was walking out of work last night and had one of those itching fits so I started slapping it and everyone was like, "what is wrong with you?!" LOL. I just said, "Oh nothin" and kept walking, lol.
