I don't know if any of you watched the SNL premiere last Saturday but it rocked. Tina Fey made a guest appearance (YAY!) as gov. Sarah Palin and it is absolutely HILARIOUS! Amy Poehler plays Hillary Clinton. You have to watch this it is so funny and Tina's impression is dead on. "I can see Russia from my house!" LOL!

biglaugha.gif Oh yeah, I missed the premiere and tried to watch it on YouTube, but there's only the "I can see Russia from my house" line. Tina and Amy are so damn good, they just nailed that skit. I heard Amy Poehler is leaving SNL .. bummer. Thanks for putting this up ... yeahright.gif

Round 2! This time SNL parodies...with little effort I might add...Sarah Palin's interview with Katie Couric:

biglaugha.gif .. omg I was laughing so hard, but it was late and I didn't want to wake the house up so I was laughing into my pillow. it was verbatim wasn't it.. absolutely stunning. it's like a bad accident you just can't not look at it. yet it's so humiliating it's painful. if she isn't palin should be going .. tomatoes.gif .. john mccain should be like this .. banghead.gif and those that helped him (or convinced him) to choose her should be doing this to each other .. dork.gif

That's what's so sad...SNL really didn't have to write much of anything. All the crap about foreign diplomacy and her rambling on about economic reform was pretty much verbatim from the actual interview. I can't believe people would honestly want her in the White House...but that's just me. Tina Fey is sooooooooooo good at portraying her. I heard she's doing 7 guest spots as Palin...I'm guessing they'll all lead up to the election in November. I'm sure they'll have one this Saturday because I'm almost positive Gov. Palin will give them more than enough ammo in Thursday night's VP debate. Frankly I can't wait for that debate to air! LOL!

You're right, Erin, SNL didn't have to change the wording in the sketch at all, if any. And yeah, I had heard that Tina Fey was locked in to play Gov. Palin for about 7 or so sketches which you're right again, will probably take us up to Nov. 4th. Now, I admit I don't watch most, of what Gov. Palin says .. yeahright.gif Partly because, personally, I feel so offended by Sen. McCain's choices lately that anything that he says or what Gov. Palin says is a waste of time. Now this isn't because I'm voting for Senator's Obama & Biden, in fact I'm registered, Non-Partisan-- I've voted for Republican candidates (thankfully not for Bush either time) in local elections plenty of times. But Sen. McCain's choosing of her just threw me, as I'm sure it did many. I woke up to his announcement and said, "who?" To me it felt very much like a tactical, political maneuver-- a way to sway Hillary voters. Honestly, I had given McCain, Obama & Clinton a fair shake across the board during the primaries. Though granted I wasn't expecting McCain to last and the nominee would've been someone else.
You know as for the Biden/Palin debate tomorrow. No matter what I'm still voting for Obama/Biden. But I want to hear Palin (though her voice annoys me). This is really about her and whether she can fend for herself .. off script. The McCain campaign has been shielding her too long. "Oh, the media is being sexist/biased." What crap. We, the American people don't know this woman, we've never heard of this woman and you want us to blindly vote for her because of what you say? Fat chance. Then she gives three interviews, and that's supposed to tell me more? Keeping her shielded, tells me you've got something to hide, that maybe you're not so sure about her. But I guess tomorrow night will tell. Again this is a test for HER, no matter if Biden is as they say "Let Biden, be Biden." Ok, I'll stop, cause I could go on and on. yeahright.gif

Okay, here is the next few in the series of Tina Fey as Sarah Palin. In the second and third videos Sarah Palin herself makes a visit to SNL. Amy Poehler's Palin rap is by far my favorite! She's like 9 months pregnant, and she's up bouncing around and rapping. The best pregnant rapper I've ever seen! lol! Tina still rocks too!

While the actual debate was interesting, SNL's take on it was hysterical. And then when Gov. Palin made her appearance.. I give her kudos for doing so. From the opening with Alec Baldwin and Lorne Michaels (which was cute), to the Weekend Update Rap .. oh, my god .. biglaugha.gif biglaugha.gif .. too funny. I had heard that Amy is a month overdue .. holycrap1.gif .. So if all that dancing around doesn't get that kid to come out than I don't know what will. Thanks for posting these. Even if you're voting Republican or Democrat or Independent, it's always nice to see that in such serious times you can take a little time and enjoy some laughs.
