Hi,

I've just managed to get my gaming group interested in Mordheim now and I'm just wondering if anyone here is also interested in the dark side of Warhammer Skirmishes...

By the way, I'm currently recruiting an Uddenheimer Warband (counts as a Reiklander one as they have all been trained there), cos it was different to the others and I wanted to be the 'good guys' for a change.

May I ask a question? Is it basically Necromunda for WHFB?

Hi,

Yeah, it is quite similar. There are gangs (mercenaries, possessed, witch hunters, skaven etc) which have been atracted to the town of Mordheim after an Asteroid hit it, spreading precious Wyrdstone everywhere.

It follows similar rules to Warhammer (combat, shooting etc) but models are not killed outright once they have suffered their last wound, but can be knocked down, stunned or taken out of action (killed).

A lot of emphasis is placed upon individual models advancing and gaining new abilities and weapons, especially in campaigns.

I like.
My Grey Area Campaign is a lot like that.
But on a larger scale.

Hi,

It is a lot of fun. There are similarites to Warhammer so it is easy to get into, but there are enough differences to make it interesting in it's own right.

Hi,

The warbands are only 10 or so models, so you needn't wait that long if money is the problem.

I've found that it can be quite a relief from Orcs and Gobbos to go to something that is quite different. :)

Hi,

Yeah it is a HUGE change from moving several large units to move a few individual models. One thing I love is the way that individual models advance and create their own personalities and character. It is a totally different experience.
