BOARD RULES
1. Games Workshop copyrights
GW is very protective of it’s intellectual property. We don’t want this forum closed down, do we? So, never quote directly from a GW publication. It’s OK to discuss some things, but here are some things I don’t want to see: Never, ever post a unit stat-line in its entirety. It is OK to discuss or mention elements of it related to a discussion but never the whole line. Never directly quote out of a Games Workshop publication. If it's essential that the exact wording be seen by those participating in the discussion give it's page number and location on the page. Never give another person a full description of what a magic item does, even if you paraphrase and don't directly quote. Games Workshop doesn't want freeloaders getting the rules without getting the book and neither do I. Never reproduce, even in part, an article from a Games Workshop publication of any kind including White Dwarf or any of Games Workshop's online publications. It's OK to discuss them and paraphrase parts of them that relate to a discussion. 2. Don’t do anything nasty… Don’t publish, post, distribute, or otherwise disseminate content that is libellous, defamatory, that invades privacy, or is obscene, pornographic, abusive, harassing, or otherwise unlawful or objectionable or which infringes on any intellectual property or other rights of any entity or person. 3. Treat others as you want to be treated So do not threaten, harass, stalk, abuse others, flame, troll, or otherwise cause distress or unwanted attention to any person. 4. Keep in line with the law guys… Don’t Engage in any unlawful purpose, or use this site in a manner that is contrary to any law or regulation or Promote or encourage any illegal activity. 5. I want this site to be a friendly place That means, don’t interfere with this site's availability to other users, transmit advertising, promotional materials, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or make any commercial use of this site. And don’t Impersonate another person or site personnel, modify without permission, or violate the Terms of Use or the site's posted rules. Also, no threads on polotics and religion are allowed. There are plenty of other sites for this kind of thing, and many young people visit this forum, so keep you P&R else where. 6. Spamming = bad That means no spamming guys. Spamming includes short pointless posts that don't contribute to the disscussion at hand. 7. Posting Guidelines Here are some guidelines to help you when you’re posting: Don’t type in l337 or CAPS, this annoys people, so type properly please. Use punctuation and post topic in the right section. Also, don't revive dead topics (a dead topic is one that has been inactive for a couple of weeks) unless you have something to contribute to the disscussion or a follow up question. 8. The warning and banning system Breaking any of these rules will result in a warning (except rule number 6, which will usually be a verbal warning. However, if you continue to ignore these warnings, you will be warned). Basically, you get 3 warnings (at the moment) before you’re banned. The moderators can also enforce the option of previewing all the posts of a member before allowing them to be posted and can suspend a members posting ability. More serious offences (i.e. posting pornography) will result in an instant permanent ban. If you've been warned, don't worry, it's just a warning. Abide by the rules and soon the mods will reduce your warning level if they see you behaving well. 9. Any problems? If there's a member that's been bugging you and is violation of the forum rules or something like that, you can't post for some reason or anything at all, you can contact me or any of the mods either PM'ing or E-mail'ing me.
