Konoha (Hidden Leaf Village)
One of the five Great Ninja Villages, led by current Hokage Tsunade. On a mountain overlooking the village from the north exists the Hokage Monument. Although Konoha, much like the country in which it resides, has been relatively peaceful since the end of the Third Shinobi World War, it remains one of the most powerful villages in existence, and has great military power and influence, though this has waned in the past three years following the attacks by Orochimaru and Pain. The majority of shinobi from this village are seemingly proficient with fire release techniques.

Konoha Ninja Tool Research Facility: Detached Office
a research building run by Iô and his assistant, Shôseki. The facility specializes in the making of new weapons, such as the Jidanda, for Konoha-nin to wield. Though the station was originally located in Konoha, it was forced to relocate to the outskirts of the village due to the random explosions which Iô claims are "challenges" during his inventing.

Ruines of the Uchiha Hideout
Former base of the Uchiha clan, which ceased being used after the Uchiha clan massacre. It was set atop a mountain that was in turn surrounded by vast forestry. The only room that is seen appears to be a sort of throne room that has numerous indentations in its walls. Behind the throne is a poster that depicts the kanji surrounded by eight swirls. It suffered massive damage from the various fireballs launched by the two Uchiha brothers final battle, and the entire building was eventually blown apart by Sasuke's Kirin.

Once an ally with the leaf under the leadership of Princess Kasumi. After a betryal of trust, the castle was destroyed by "Konoha"'s attack, killing almost everyone except the princess. This now decaying castle has It castle has 100 floors and thirty basement floors.

Valley of the End
Located close to the border of the Land of Fire and the Land of Sound. Shortly after the foundation of Konoha, Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha fought for control of the village. Hashirama emerged victorious and Madara was believed to have died. Their battle - which involved the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox - left a scar in the earth that would come to be called the Valley of the End. In memory of their battle, two giant statues were built on opposite sides of the waterfall, Madara on the Land of Sound side and Hashirama on the Land of Fire's side.

Mount Katsuragi
The mountain is surrounded by seemingly unbreakable barrier and protected by a large amount of traps. This is the home of the Tsuchigumo Clan loyalists to En no Gyôja after he and the elders of the clan split over the fate of the Tsuchigumo clan's kinjutsu. The majority of the clan remained in the village with the elders, while the few loyalists left for Mount Katsuragi. The main village resides just at the foot of the Mt.

Yumegakure

Sunagakure (The Village Hidden in the Sand)
One of the five great ninja villages run by the current Kazekage Gaara, who lives in a spherical structure in the center of the village. The ninja here seem to specialize in wind release techniques, the Puppet Technique, and the Cloth Binding Technique and believe that the accomplishment of a mission predominates the lives of the ninja trying to accomplish it. As such, they are known to be ruthless in battle meaning to them, failure is not an option. Should failure seem inevitable, a Suna shinobi would almost surely try to make a success of their mission in some way or another.

Iwagakure (Village Hidden in the Rocks)
One of the five great ninja villages, ruled by the current Tsuchikage Ōnoki. Iwagakure is well-known for the rock-hard attitude of its shinobi; as soon as the Tsuchikage gives an order, the Iwa-nin do so without hesitating, even if it means death. Iwagakure ninja seem to specialize in earth release techniques.

An icy, snow-covered country. It is politically unusual in that it has remained neutral and never been involved in the ninja wars. Neighbor of the Land of Frost and the Land of Sound and is located north-east of the Land of Fire. It also contains the former ninja village of Yugakure. The Hot Water Daimyô and his people evacuated the country during the Fourth Shinobi World War to avoid getting caught between the fighting Allied Shinobi Forces and Akatsuki. It is the location of the heavy fighting in the war.

Its hidden village is Yukigakure. The Land of Snow possesses an unusually advanced level of technology when compared to other countries in the Naruto world. Things such as railroads, airships, snow mobiles, power generators and volley guns are commonplace here, though the latter fired salvos of kunai instead of bullets. Additionally, their ninja wear special Chakra Armour that makes them virtually immune to ninjutsu and genjutsu. Koyuki Kazahana is the current Daimyô.

was formed by ninja from several countries that could mould their chakra to mist in order to fly. It is said that they fought in the Second Shinobi World War, and their hidden village was destroyed in the war by Konohagakure for challenging the Five Great Shinobi Countries, but the country itself survived. Their civilization appears to be fairly advanced, best demonstrated by their usage of highly advanced forms of aviation not seen elsewhere in the Five Great Shinobi Countries. The Land of Sky's continues to come back after being destroyed a second time by the Leaf village.

Land of Demons
Located two countries away from the Land of Swamps. The country's priestess, Shion, can predict someone's death and seal away demons. The demon Môryô's spirit was imprisoned here. The techniques that are passed down in this country, such as the Shrine Seal and the Shadow Mirror Body Changing Method, seem to use hand seals that are completely different from the standard twelve.

Land of Fangs
At one point, tension between this nation and the Land of Claws had barely averted a war but thanks to Jiraiya's Icha Icha novel, which was delivered to the Land of Fangs' Daimyô by mistake. The Fang Daimyô, who was an Icha Icha fan, thought it was a gift from the Claw Daimyô and avoided the war. This land is seemingly marked by numerous steep peaks, probably leading to its name.

Land of Claws
There was, at one point, tension between this nation and the Land of Fangs. The two sides barely averted a war thanks to one of Jiraiya's Icha Icha novels, which was delivered to the Land of Fangs' Daimyô by mistake in behalf of the Daimyô of The land of Claws.

A small country located between the Land of Wind and the Land of Earth and controlled by the Daimyô, Sagi. This land gets its name from the large number of birds that migrate to it each year.

A small land near the Land of Fire. A rivalry for power between the Wasabi family and the Wagarashi family has been going on for many years. It is unknown if it has ninja but this is unlikely. One reason it is called the Land of Tea could be for its tea-houses.
